Gretchen! Book Gretchen, now! @gretchdoeshair I was in Columbus for a conference, and walked into the salon with dirty gross hair and Gretchen brought me back to life! She gave me the best shampoo/condition of my life. Her hands are absolute magic. I have a Drybar membership and get blow outs regularly and I have never had such a magical scalp massage. I used to only trust one person to cut my hair for 14 years. Now that haircuts cost an arm and a leg where I live, I’m always in search for a reasonably priced haircut when I’m traveling. Gretchen, should charge more!!! I’m not sure if it’s the premium products this salon uses or Gretchen’s magic but I’ve never had a blow out last this long! This was absolutely ideal for me because my blowout looked fresh for the three days of the conference. Last, Gretchen is the absolute sweetest person and so easy to chat with. Please move to San Francisco, Gretchen! I would surely come to get a trim and blowout once a month if I was local.

had the BEST experience at this salon all because of Gabby Walker! (@hairbyygab) She is extremely talented, knew exactly what I wanted/needed and executed it PERFECTLY! Not to mention, she is so fun, kind & had me cracking up the whole time! Can’t wait to book my next visit :) Thank you Gabby & AB salon!!!

Gretchen really worked with me (I know nothing about hair) to figure out what I wanted and transformed my hair! I got a cut and balayage and I have never been happier with a transformation. Definitely recommend!!

i got highlights, lowlights and a cut done by morgan, and i am so happy with it! she was extremely kind & did an amazing job. i would recommend her to anyone & i definitely will be coming back & booking with her again!

I absolutely love it here!! It was my first time ever going to a salon and they were so nice!! And definitely transformed my hair from dry ugly yellow box dye blonde to a beautiful natural ash brown with beautiful highlights!🫶🏼 ( Peyton did her thang!!!)

I treated myself to a 7 hour spa day here. I got a color correction & eyelash extensions. Gretchen did my hair & did a very good job. Im very happy to go back to a more natural color but also have some more dimension to it. It was very relaxing, environment was cozy & comfy & wasnt very loud or packed. Cossette did my eyelashes & I love them. The chair was comfy & she was very informative & professional I had such a good experience with both staff members & see myself coming back!

Today was my first time visiting the salon and I had an appointment with Jalyn and she did absolutely amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and literally brought tears to my eyes with how beautiful my hair turned out. I will 100% be back and booking with her. Cannot say enough good things. My hair is perfect and I had such a nice time at AB with Jalyn. 🩷

Gretchen is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She genuinely cares about your hair, and wants you to walk away happy and satisfied. Every challenge I’ve given her with my hair she’s succeeded at. I cannot recommend her enough. Plus her shampoos are next level. :)

Jalyn is the best for Blondes or coloring in general. I get baby lights and she is extremely attention to detail oriented and prioritizes color but also health of hair. Great experience everytime I go to the salon and I really love Jalyn. Very reasonably priced for the attention and work she applies to every one of her clients!

Cossette is incredible!! She is always so sweet and answers any questions her clients have so kindly. A lot of stylists can come off a little funky but her chair is always a safe place!

I LOVED my experience here! Macy did my hair and was so sweet and incredibly good at achieving my hair goal! I was desperate to go back to the blonde hair that I used to have before I had a moment and dyed it brown. I had gone to another place to have it done and it turned orange, so Macy really helped me to feel so much better! The salon itself is also beautiful! All of the staff are very kind, engaged with their clients, and from what I could see from their methods and results VERY good at what they do! I got a full highlight and it was also incredibly reasonably priced. I am so thankful I found AB salon!

I had a terrible experience at this salon and won't be back. I came in for partial highlights (just a few around my face) and a haircut. The stylist was condescending from the moment that I sat down. She insisted that I needed a full highlight. I left the salon with yellow/orange striped hair (I have light brown hair) that was incredibly damaged. She told me mid-process not to look at my hair, that it would look better later. I think she realized that it looked awful. I had only colored my hair twice in my entire life prior to this visit and my hair was long, thick, and healthy. When I left my hair was a dry/frizzy/damaged discolored mess. When I checked out, the stylist increased the price of my service to nearly $300 as she added the full highlight and an overall toner, saying "it won't be as much next time." I was appalled. As another reviewer noted, price changes - especially nearly $100 increases - should be discussed before the service is rendered. I called several days later to complain after friends and family confirmed how bad my hair looked. The stylist was again condescending and said "sometimes it takes a few times to get the look you want." Multiple sessions for a few face-framing highlights? Huh? She did not even apologize that I was unhappy with my hair. I've since had to spend hundreds to correct the damage.

I had babylights and a haircut done on my already dirty blonde hair on Monday it took a total of almost 5 hours but when I left I really wasn't happy with the color of my hair or cut of my bangs. I had asked for a platinum blonde and my roots turned out very yellow and brassy while the rest of my hair had reached the platinum I was looking for. I returned the next day where another stylist toned and fixed up the cut of my hair. She agreed with me that the previous stylist had not lifted my roots enough but did not offer to do anything more than tone my hair which did help somewhat but did not fix the issue. For almost $250 with tip I just don't feel like I got my moneys worth for a 6 hour ordeal spread over 2 days and leaving not truly happy with the results. Everyone was very nice and polite I just wish my experience had been better with the final outcome.

I received a beautiful cut from Carson. I came to Columbus from NYC for some business and haven’t had time for a cut back home. Back in the city I have an IGK stylist, who has a wrist injury now, do my hair so yes i was nervous about getting it done by someone else. Carson did an amazing job. She didn’t cut too much off and left the perfect amount of length. She also did my bangs which I was anxious about as well. At first I didn’t think they were laying right but they really need to settle in. After an hour I was absolutely loving them so much. This girl knows what she’s doing and i hope she realizes how much talent she really possesses. I’d love to come back here next time i’m in Columbus. Thank you!!

The AB Salon is fabulous. Clean, adorable, chic, and easy parking! All of the girls are friendly and helpful. In particular, Bari has been doing my hair for almost 10 years. Her work is fantastic, but honestly more importantly her personality is top notch. At a time when I was really struggling, she was able to get me to open up and get the help I needed. I always look good and feel good when I leave. Bravo!

Update: I had my hair redone by the owner Arianna who was really sweet & did a phenomenal job. Thanks so much! Before: Not sure I would go to this salon if you have thick or more ethnic hair. I’m Puerto Rican and I don’t have course hair but I have a good amount of hair with a natural 3A curl type. I had mariela blow dry my hair and run it through again, and I still left with it fuzzing up everywhere especially in the back. Don’t feel like it was worth what I paid though the aesthetic of the space is beautiful and people were nice, the hair itself left much to be desired.

Beware of deceptive pricing practices at this salon. I have had my hair done here twice, and been very happy with the result. The first visit, in July, my balayage/cut/style cost about $250 which I found to be reasonable. During my visit this past weekend I was informed after I was already in foils that the stylist's pricing had changed since the last visit and her rates are now $80/hour. I was not made aware of this before my appointment or the service, and was not told how this would impact the price compared to my previous visit. At the end I was charged $300 for the time of service (4 hours, which is also insane) plus the cost of a cut, and toner. A price increase of >$100 in 10 weeks should be clearly communicated to customers.

My 13 year old daughter had been wanting her first “style” to her hair for months. Her experience at the AB Salon left her with an ear-to-ear smile that lasted for days. She got a cut, layers and color and could6 have been any happier. The stylists were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable which added to the great experience for my daughter. We will definitely book a return appointment.

This was the first time Cossette cut my wavy/curly hair. She did a fantastic job! She was very detailed oriented and it shows! It's always a bit scary to have a new stylist, but I will definitely return to AB Salon and have Cossette cut my hair.
