Terrible experience I asked for a simple blowout no style and she proceeded to use a flat iron, my hair ended up being terribly damaged w choppy ends and my hair looks oily after this process…. The roots are still damp and curly. Terrible service inside looks unprofessional we should have left immediately.

This is my favorite hair braiding salon. They have fair prices so if you're looking for affordable prices this is the place to be. The ladies who work here are not just adept hair stylists, they speak life into you--they are sweet and don't mind lending an ear to you if you need to vent. Their work is so professional and I get SO many compliments on my hair from strangers in the subway, my colleagues, friends, thirsty men, etc! The hair stylists I've met are: Eva, Dimolly, Bebe, and Tamara. Each if them are so skilled at their craft and are so encouraging. I cannot recommend this salon enough 💕

unfortunately my time here was highly unpleasant. i traveled over an hour to get here for a sew in. however, i ended up having to leave before my service even began. from the moment i walked in there were kids running inside the salon, open food everywhere, toys scattered all over the floor, dirty chairs…etc. the stylist who was supposed to do my hair tamara is super rude & disrespectful. when i walked in i told one of the other stylists that i was here for a sew in and i asked for tamara & i literally heard her say: “omg i just want to go home early” ?? mind you it was only 2:30pm…i also witnessed her yell and curse out a customer over a minor disagreement…definitely not someone i want touching my hair. this salon is super unprofessional and reeks of negativity. would not recommend.

I stopped by early in the morning (with no appointment) to see if I can get my hair done in the afternoon. I came back in the afternoon and left with a great sew in with minimal leave out! They are very accommodating 😊

A very convenient location , I like the fact that walk- ins are available! Staff is very welcoming and the ambience is very reassuring. It’s also very spacious ! I had my hair done in a very timely manner , not delays in treatment . Thank you Allure Marian unisex Salon !

I'm so grateful that I went to Yelp and Google to search for a salon for my uncle. My Uncle is a disabled senior, and he needed his locs cared for. In his sickness , he became depressed and stopped taking care of himself - and refused for others to care for him. But this is no longer the case , after he visited this salon. Janice gave him hope , and made him appreciate his image. If I could recommend 10 stars, I would. Thank you to the salon owner and to the stylist Janice for helping my Uncle. He is so happy and my heart is so filled. Book your appointment today !!!

The Stylists who weaved my hair for the prom was friendly, and professional. The hairstyle I had for my prom was really pretty and I received so many compliments, the weave lasted very long. I will highly recommend this salon.

I didn’t actually enjoy my experience here. They don’t provide hair for you and they tell you to bring your own, which is fine. But I asked what kind of hair to bring, and she wasn’t specific at all. So when I came into my appointment, she was just complaining about the hair the whole time. I wanted a simple box braids ombré style that goes up to my shoulders. She was saying how she couldn’t burn it so she tied it with a rubber band instead. Almost as if she couldn’t just bind it with hot water. I had to go do it myself at home and it worked just fine. I don’t think she did it to where the style was supposed to last long. I wouldn’t recommend this place to people in the future if this the kind half work they give their customers.
