The Beauty Nook Studio did my hair and makeup (along with 6 bridesmaids and mother of the bride) for my wedding in December. I did two hair and makeup trials (because I didn’t know what I wanted) and Kim was so accommodating and helpful throughout the whole process. Since I had so many people looking to get hair and makeup done for my wedding, I was pleased that they could provide three stylists (Kim, Stephen, & Marcella) to help on the day of the wedding. Everyone loved their finished looks and we all enjoyed talking with them throughout the morning. They arrived a few minutes early and we had plenty of time to get everyone ready. I was worried that we would be rushed for time since there were so many people, but we were ready about 30 minutes early and it was a stress-free morning. I am so grateful that I went with The Beauty Nook Studio for my hair and makeup and I would recommend them to anyone!

Kim and Marcella were amazing! I initially was not going to do professional hair and makeup due to the cost, but I found The Beauty Nook Studio at a local wedding expo. Kim’s reasonable prices drew me in – but it was her personality and professionalism that got me to sign up for her services! I got my hair done by Kim, while some of our girls got both hair and makeup from her and Marcella. My hair turned out amazing and Kim definitely took my feedback from the trial and implemented it to make my hair stay a lot longer and feel more natural, and she was very careful applying my great grandmother’s applique. I did my own makeup, but after seeing how beautiful my bridesmaids looked, I asked if I could pay her a bit extra to assist with my lip color, add lashes, and touch up my eyeshadow on the day-of the wedding and she was willing to help me and made me feel so much more confident in my overall look. I kind of wish I just had her do my entire look!! I would recommend Kim for any event, for you and for your girls to feel beautiful. Not only are her skills great, but we shared a great taste in music and love for family, so it was really easy to talk to her and she made me feel very comfortable both during the trial, during consultation emails, and on the big day. Marcella also worked on my mom, and she said she hadn’t felt that beautiful in years. Thank you Kim and Marcella!!

Kim did my bridal hair and makeup, and did a fantastic job! If I could add a bonus star, I would! I came into the trial hair and makeup with no idea what I wanted other than wanting my hair up in a ponytail, and she took the idea and did wonders! For the event, she came to the house my bridesmaids were getting ready in, and not only did she do a fantastic job with me, she was so nice to my bridesmaids as the were doing their own hair and makeup. Occasionally, they struggled with something or other and she took a moment to step in and help, even though they hadn’t requested services. During the wedding, I got so many complement and the makeup and hair and pin placements lasted over 10 hours with lots of snacking, laughing, and smiling! Kim helped me feel confident for such an important day, and as a perpetually self conscious person I am so incredibly grateful! (I’ll add pictures when we get some from the photographer)

I found The Beauty Nook through the Wedding Collective NM site, and I'm so glad I did. From the first email inquiry, Kim was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. We scheduled a hair & makeup trial a few weeks prior so we could talk through what I wanted for my wedding. They were super flexible when we kept adding more hair & makeup jobs to the day of the wedding (for my mom and sisters-in-law). Kim & Marcella did a great job with all of our makeup and I really loved what Kim did with my hair (including a beautiful floral comb from Florecita). I felt like a beautiful princess on my wedding day, which is exactly how I should have felt. Definitely recommend!
