I’ve been coming here to see akilah ever since I got back in my weight loss journey taking the weight loss shots with the b-12 which has helped a lot ! She’s very informative and supportive definitely has made me feel comfortable it’s been a hard journey getting back on track so she’s been assisting me and I’ve lost 24 pounds since I’ve started with her can’t wait to see more results .

She completely transformed my skin. The spa is amazingly beautiful , welcoming , with the most relaxing scent . She takes her time , educates you on the products next steps and proper follow up . Look at that skin!!!

I absolutely love receiving cosmetic work from Akilah. She is thorough, kind, safe, and upfront about every service she offers. She will walk you through each step and tell you what will work best and not depending on your skin tone, face shape, medical history, etc. For all skin tones I recommend her and especially for Black women! She knows our skin and will not steer you wrong. I have received Juvo (similar to Botox, different brand) and LOVED my results!!!!

Akilah was amazing! This was my first time getting Botox so she did an excellent job of explaining everything of what to expect before during and after the treatment. She is very knowledgeable and detail oriented. She even went out of her way to text me after my appointment to make sure everything was going ok. Guys , book an appointment before the word gets out. Akilah came to make roots in pleasant Ridge. She was able to answer all my questions, and make recommendations to make be comfortable. I received a IV immunity boost today but won’t be my last. The place is small without the crowds and wait, but is welcoming and convient. I came to the Better You MedSpa because I was struggling to lose weight while on HRT. Even while working out consistently and eating a healthy diet, weight was a struggle. Akilah was great! She created a plan for me that consisted of lipotropic shots and body contouring. Within a few days, I started losing weight, I was less bloated, and my mid-section started to slim down. Most importantly, I received the boost of confidence I needed to continue pushing through my workouts because I was finally starting to see results!

I found “The Better You Medspa” via the VI Peel app while searching for nearby practitioners. I looked up the Instagram account and was impressed with the before and after results. Akilah was very professional when I met her and the spa itself is nice and spacious, right in the heart of pleasant ridge. I’ve received 2 VI peels and one micro-needling session so far; I have an upcoming chemical peel and am super excited for my results.

I had a lovely experience with Ms. Akilah Corbett on the day of my visit to The Better You MedSpa. I received the neurotoxin injection to my T-zone that allowed for my wrinkles to soften and become a more natural look. I utilized The Better You MedSpa for a few treatments, Botox, microneedling and a B12 shot. The owner, and provider Akilah walked me through the process and the treatments. Akilah provided counseling and guidance, and I felt knowledgeable and comfortable before my treatments. I was also equipped with detailed information about post treatment care and follow up. At the conclusion of my visit I inquired and learned about the products sold at The Better You MedSpa which can be used at home to keep my skin looking healthy and improve my skin care. I have been seeing good results from the treatments provided by Akilah and the recommended products I purchased. I am so happy I found this gem of a spa!

I visited her in May, beautiful inside and so chic!! I absolutely loved the hydrafacial done by Jen! My skin felt and looked amazing for days after!! Akilah administered the Botox treatment, I am in love with the results. They are both so professional but warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend 10/10!!!

Akilah really did a good job of making me feel comfortable, especially with it being my first time with doing these type of beauty services. She made my lips subtly fuller and I really liked how it turned out! Her space is inviting and clean and I will definitely be back!
