literally ridiculous that one staff member told me you needed to be 17 to tan with parents permission and i came back with a parent and a different staff member told me no it’s 18? when the state of pa’s policies are that you can tan at 17 with parent consent. so ridiculous because many of my friends have tanned here.

I’ve gone to the Body Bar for a few months. My last experience was subpar. I cannot go back and cannot recommend this establishment to prospective customers. Staff are unprofessional. Really unfortunate that my friend and I were body shamed. If you have that confidence, this is the place for you. If you see work to improve your physical and mental health, keep looking.

Had a massage on 9/7/24 with Allie (sorry if I misspelled the name) but she was very professional and excellent at her job. She knew the right spots to apply extra pressure and I left there feeling refreshed. Will definitely try to visit Body Bar on the regular to help relax and help with sore muscles.

My massage today was absolutely wonderful! Monica was my massage therapist, and she had the music playing, massage table heated, and explained how we would start when I first walked in, asking about the amount of pressure and focus areas. I was just looking for relaxation, so she massaged every part of my body equally. It was very peaceful the entire time. I will definitely request her again! I had previously left a not-so-great review on here about my experience last time I was there with Ally as my massage therapist. Body Bar gave me a chance to come back, and I am so grateful! Definitely a redeeming experience and will continue to come to the Body Bar for many more years to come! Even bought a gift certificate as a birthday present when I left today. Thank you :)

I just had a deep tissue massage at the Body Bar. Connie was my masseuse and she was wonderful! I will be requesting her when I go for my next massage. The staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend the Body Bar!

Unfortunately, as much as I've liked this place in the past, they lost my business today. I received an offer in my email (which I figured might be related to my b'day two days later). I emailed back and asked how to take advantage of it. I usually come in for a massage or facial, and planned to take advantage of a facial with April. I got a call from an employee and told her I wanted a facial. She said, "Sure! We can do that. Want to do a massage too?" While I don't usually do that, at the discounted rate and for my birthday, I said yes. She said to make sure I told them at checkout it was the email special. Fast forward to today. I had a lovely facial, and an ok massage ( I'm not sure if the therapist was hearing impaired, but I asked for a tissue several times and she ignored me?), but I was overall pleased. I got to the front desk and "Amy" informed me I had the Pamper Me package. I said, no, I had the email special. She said that you cannot have a massage and facial on the special pricing. I told her that was what I was told on the phone. I have NEVER gotten both at this establishment. I wouldn't have done that unless I was offered them both on special. She literally shrugged and said, "I don't know what to tell you." I'll tell you what - I will never be back. I paid it. I didn't raise my voice. But I'll never waste my money on a business that bait and switches - especially on someone's birthday. Nope.

I will be recommending The Body Bar to all my friends! Everyone was so nice and respectful! I loved my wax by Sherry. She took her time and was very experienced. I will be back for a facial and future waxed :)

Massage wasn’t good I had originally booked a massage& facial same day. Told receptionist that may not be able to keep to the facial appointment if my appointment across the street runs few minutes late. I’ve decided to just reschedule that portion of the treatment since I was 15 behind but was still charged $50. This was outrageous especially if it was already scheduled same day aka within 24 hour deadline how can you give a day notice? If it was booked same day as appointment scheduled? Then got charged full price on the dam facial no discount even though it was a discounted / mentioned discount. Sheesh 🙄. $300 later. No thx I’m canceling all my future appointments and going elsewhere.

Super clean and sanitary place. Great selection of tanning lotions and services. Professionalism and accountability 3/10. Everyone was great and helpful, but the older receptionist lady with short hair and glasses could benefit from some continuing education classes in professionalism. Overall great experience though, owners obviously care about their establishment. Probably will be back but might try a different location.

I had originally placed a request online. I received a call back quickly saying that a cancelation had occurred and if I wanted to come the next day. When I arrived, I was greeted and shown my way back to the spa area. My massage therapist was Keith, and his reputation for being the most sought-after did not lie! The pressure of the deep tissue massage was just right. He found knots I didn't know I had and got my shoulders and hips feeling heaps better. I pre-booked my next one before leaving.

My friend and I came in for our birthday celebration and did the royal treatment. Which included a body treatment scrub,facial and massage. Kristi S did my facial and scrub. She was an absolute delight. I really enjoyed our conversations and she was very knowledgeable about what she was doing. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had with a body scrub my face felt so amazing after the facial. If my experience ended there I would have left such a happy customer. Highly recommend Kristi. As for the massage it was the complete opposite experience. Ali did my massage. And it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. She seemed angry like she didn’t even want to be there just to start. And massage felt abrupt. Jarring. And at points painful. I asked for an all over relaxing massage. And said I had a little lower back pain. It was just an aggressive massage. My body was being shaken all over the table, multiple times she dug her knuckles over the tops of my feet and hands on the bones. On my shoulder and back it was the same thing lots of knuckles repetitively dug in the same spot to the point I should have asked her to stop but thought there’s no what this can go any longer. Even the way she entered the massage was abrupt. Honestly I felt stuck in a sense of fight or flight not sure what was coming next the whole time. When it was over and I went out of the room she was no where in sight so I got myself some water and when she came back she was to busy carrying bedding and flipping the bed. Like she couldn’t be rid of me faster. I like a deep tissue massage. And this was not that even if I had asked for that. My low back felt bruised the next few days and felt worse than I went in.

Nice place, but the workers made me feel really judged. The one girl kept on giggling and snickering while pointing towards me and the others were giving me funny looks. The building is nice and comfortable but I wanted to leave as soon as I got there. I’m still giving it 2 stars because my spray tan did come out nicely.

Well very disappointed 😞 we never had a massage so me and my future husband it was a surprise for him so are apt was for 4 a couples massage well we were running 15 min late had to feel out paper work like at a doctors apt so that took time so it comes down to we got a 15 minute massage at 4 15 what happened to the rest of our time ? it was a hour massage so disappointing allso they take your debit card and told me that if we didn't show up we would be charged for the whole price 225 there's no prices on the website intill you get there so I had no ideal.of pricing but for a 15 minute massage way to much but postive side was the massage man did a great job but that was the only good part about it So DISAPPOINTING
