The literal worst haircut my husband has ever had. His hair was extremely long, and had a lot of potential for a good layered look. The man who did his hair did EXTREMELY uneven cut- and it literally looks like a bucket cut on top of a poorly done shag. It genuinely looks like 2 different haircuts stacked on top of each other. It's a shame, because he went there specifically since he's asian and we thought it would be a safe option. The "sideburns" are 3 strands of uneven hair. DO NOT go here if you are asian and think this is a safe option because of that.

Can't believe he charged me $70 for hair cut. And the problem is it just look exactly like how my husband cut my hair 😭 I'm not enough brave to show you how my hair / my face look now but it's terrible. Still so angry when writing down these words. Poor my 2 year old hair, only short ugly hair now

I am normally a fan of korean hair stylist, but this one, oh no! She charged me $85 for a haircut!!! And of course I had to tip. I dont mind the tip if I loved my hair. I told her layers, but she thinned my hair so much. When I told her she did too much thinning, she said that is how it should be done hahah (as iF this is my 1st time having layers). Not to mention it was wayyy too expensive. Horrible experience. Do not go there!!! I bet there are lot better places around the area!!!

Amazing service! They're always attentive and willing to give me input when I ask for suggestions. I also appreciate that they teach me how to style my hair after each service so I know what to do when I get home. I got a haircut with them a few weeks ago and told them I wanted shorter hair but was unsure the length and style, they listened to what I had in mind made suggestions based on my face shape and how my hair sits. Since I struggle with frizzy hair they suggested a digital perm. I came back the other day for a straight perm on the top of my head to tame frizz and then a wavy perm on the bottom to showcase my layers. I left the salon cheesing from ear to ear, I'm beyond satisfied with their work! 10/10 ⭐️

First visit today. I got a haircut and was very satisfactory overall. The male hairdresser was kind, communicative, and competent. I paid $30, which is not expensive at all given the nice cut and wash I got. Thank you!

I went to the salon today. It's such a sad day. I trusted the reviews. I'm Korean and I made my hair good in Korea a month ago. My hair grew longer after a month. It was just that I wanted to shorten my hair as it was, and I gave him tips on how to style it. My hair is a lot and strong hair that needs to be cut for more than 30 minutes. But he finished my hair in 15 minutes and when I told him about my hair situation, he gave up saying he couldn't do it. Technology is very scarce here. Cutting is really important at hair salons. Without an upgrade of hair salon technology, I can't believe the reviews here again and it will be hard for me to visit again.

Whenever I go to a hair salon, I am a BIG spender (I usually get balayages, but lately I wanted to try out ice blonde). I am Asian and have long hair that is naturally black, and whenever I come in I stay for at least 4-6 hours to get my hair done and I always leave with a little dissatisfaction because I NEVER get what I asked for. On top of that I would have bad after-experiences, like a red or swollen scalp from rough hands and extreme hair dryness. The style I want is no easy task, but I shouldn't have to pay hundreds for any kind of dissatisfaction or laziness or scalp damage. When I went to Bora, requesting to have my hair bleached once again down to ice blonde, I came out feeling like I was glowing. For the first time, I felt like I got MORE than I wanted. I got so many compliments on my hair, at work, at home, and even from random strangers - that has never happened to me before! They also recommended some hair products that really changed the game for me in terms of its softness (REGARDLESS of the amount of bleaching). I have struggled with hair dryness and damage for YEARS. It was shocking to see what a good hair salon could really give you, and it's only after a great experience you realize how bad your past hair coloring experiences were. RATINGS: Hair Service (5/5): They are great at coloring services. They replicated the inspiration pictures I showed them to near perfect. They are patient and will give you quality service regardless of the time (mine took two 4-hour sessions). The owners are gentle in the washing process and not too rough. They are very knowledgeable and specialize in Asian hair. They know and sell products that are affordable that are great for Asian hair and cheaper than what it is sold online. Customer Service (5/5): The owners are not fluent in English, but are friendly and thoughtful in their own way. They will also give you advice on how to care for your hair, like when you can wash it, how to style it, etc. Price (4/5): Their service is expensive for sure, but in my opinion it was well worth it (and I don't say this lightly, since I've paid hundreds for sub-par service before). They are experts in what they do and you will get what you paid for, if not more. I just wanted to leave this review here because I've never been this happy about my hair! Thank you, Bora!

We almost got lost because we were looking for the name but it’s actually located inside the building name “Sola” it’s a place full of all kinds of hair salon. The bora is a small space with 3 chairs for customers and couple of chairs for waiting customers. We drove from Clayton to Cary just to get a haircut and it’s worth it. My teenage daughter got he first haircut and the hairstylist got it right! My daughter loves it! I love my haircut as well. They moved fast but they definitely know what they’re doing!

Been going for a few years but its gotten way too expensive now with much worse quality. Friendly people, but very negligent. My haircuts aren’t horrible but they aren’t well done. I’ve always tipped them decently in hopes that they’d be more attentive next time, but it’s still low effort every time. I had a cartilage piercing on my ear been yanked at HARD multiple times every single appointment, and this last time it was so bad it popped off the bearing and tore a new hole inside the skin, requiring a removal of the piercing. Before, I could get a haircut and perm for $80 but they kept raising the price and now it’s $120. I would be okay with that price if the quality and care were to match, but it has gotten worse and is unfortunately not worth it for me anymore.

I'm usually not one to write negative reviews, but my experience at Bora was genuinely disappointed. I brought my son in for a simple trim, but the result was far from satisfactory. Not only was the haircut uneven, with patches and areas that looked completely missed, but the stylist also seemed rushed and inattentive to the details. It looked nothing like the style we discussed and showed in the pictures. To add insult to injury, when it came time to pay, I was shocked at the exorbitant price $$$ they charged for such a subpar service. I've had better experiences at budget salons for a fraction of the price. Parents, think twice before taking your kids here.

I've had some bad cuts before, but this was next level awful. Walked into this place, waited like 40 mins even though I had a darn appointment!!! The owners don't take their customer seriously at all. They had the worst attitude, no apology no nothing. The place was loud, and the barber... don’t even get me started. Felt like he was trying to speedrun my haircut. Showed him a pic of what I wanted, and I swear he gave me the exact opposite. Looked in the mirror and thought, "Who did this to me?!" When I complained, dude acted like I was the crazy one! And they had the nerve to try and sell me some overpriced gel to "fix it." Never going back. If you value your hair and sanity, stay away. If you are not korean or may you are, they won't take you seriously regardless.

Quick, semi-reasonably priced, and exactly what I wanted. I already had a style in mind (layers and curtain bangs) and a Pinterest board with a few posts that I showed to the stylist as reference. After the haircut, he kindly explained how my natural hair differs from the style I chose (my hair is naturally wavy/frizzy and the style was straight and smooth) and the simple steps I could take to achieve the look I wanted.

두분 다 친절하지만 30년동안 자른 미용실 중 한곳을 뽑으라면 최악으로 가위질이 엉성하네요….(여성 아내분에게 서비스 받음) 머리 길이 / 컷 / 가위질 엉망/. 주위 사람들한테 엄청 놀림 받으면서 2개월을 보내고 있습니다... 정말 가위질 하는거 보고 실망 많이 했습니다.. 다시는 안갑니다…
