The main reason I came here for years was because they took appts and the price was lower than many other quality places. Then multiple times I would show up at appt time and have to wait 15-20 minutes because they tried to squeeze in an extra customer. Prices have increased way more than inflation as well. I no longer go here for these reasons which is a shame because I liked the stylist and the haircut.

Had a full head of highlights with Linda a couple of weeks ago and I am thrilled. I was very skeptical because it is a lower priced salon, but I am telling you, there is no need to spend $300-$400 to have your hair highlighted. The color is exactly what I wanted and my hair looks great. Thank you Linda!

I've been seeing Michael for about 3 years and I'm so grateful he was recommended to me. I have long hair and he consistently gives a great cut! And the entire staff is friendly... highly recommend!

Holly was amazing! I had been searching for a good color specialist in San Diego for almost 10 years, and I finally found her. Not only does she offer great color services at a good price, but she also made me feel 10 years younger. My husband didn't even recognize me when I got home! Holly is fantastic with both color and haircuts. Thank you so much!

Very unsatisfied with the quality of haircut. Showed her a picture of a reference and still messes up big time. Fade was not fading, told her cut just below the eyebrows, ends up with 3 inches ABOVE the eyebrows. Service was also not great, as soon as she saw my reference photo, she was not happy and got mad at me for being “too difficult” and during the cut she keeps on telling me how hard my hair is to cut. She even went and whisper to another coworker complaining about my hair. Really unprofessional and will not be coming here again.

Really enjoyed my experience here. Easy to schedule and was seen promptly upon arrival. Sudi did an excellent job on my hair and gave some recommendations too. If I’m back in town I’ll come and see her again!

I had my highlights done here and i've NEVER had my highlights look this bad... the color faded within a MONTH, my previous colors lasted me a year +. Not only did it fade quickly but parts at the top turned orange within 2-4 weeks... I came back for them to fix the orange and it still did not go away. 170$ out the window, giving if 2 stars just because the lady was fairly nice -but the job was very poor quality.

Holly at the Carmel Valley branch was amazing! Will return to her from anywhere. I moved to DC & flew back to SD and booked an appointment. Best cut & style! A+ class all the way.

Holly was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable. She walked me through what she was doing and gave me great tips on styling my pixie based on the way my hair grows. Will definitely be coming back!

Hairstylist was rude, argued with the front desk about helping an other customer. This person should not work as a hairstylist if she does not want to cut customer’s hair.

I started going here in 2001 and moved away in 2011. Always great cuts at fair price. I moved back here 3 months ago after being gone for 12 years and it's just as good now as it was then.

This salon is exactly what I was looking for after moving to the Carmel Valley area. It’s complicated making a transition to a new stylist after so many years. Maria T. at CV location fits what I was looking for. She listened to what I described regarding a new haircut and verbally walked me through each step as she worked. She took time and care with getting it just right! Thank you Maria! And the pricing at the salon is so reasonable!

Due to our hair stylist having a last minute cancellation, we were in a bind and could not find any place that could take him except for California cuts. Upon walking in they did have someone available and unfortunately we let her cut my son's hair. We did have to cut it quite a bit shorter but she completely and his haircut and we are probably going to have to take him into our hair stylist and simply have his hair buzzed and start growing it back out again. The hair stylist was Holly and had such an attitude. As someone who has had the same hair stylist for her children their entire lives I've always just had a trust and she completely ruined that. I won't ever use his business again!
