Best massage of my life BY FAR. Michael is clearly very passionate about what he does and an expert in his craft. I gained wayyyy more from my session with him than I was expecting (physically and mentally). I will definitely be back. Don’t waste your time looking into a bunch of places, just go here. I promise you’ll be happy with your decision! 🫶

Michael is phenomenal! I had a 60 minute massage with him today and I would go as far as to say that was the best massage I've ever had. You can tell he genuinely cares about his clients and resolving issues long term. He was thorough and got to the root cause of my areas of tension, talking me through how to adjust my habits to help relieve that tension over time as well. The receptionist was incredibly welcoming and kind too. Overall 12/10 experience - thank you for brightening my day! I will be back regularly and am recommending everyone I can to this place. What a wonderful hidden gem!

Michael is the bees knees! I had messed up my neck after a trip and Michael worked his magic energetically as well as with massage. Highly recommend if you are in need of a holistic level of healing and recovery. I am looking forward to my next visit with him!

Had a wonderful experience with Kristi this afternoon. I haven’t had a massage in 10 years and my Swedish massage was very relaxing. Although, I prefer firmer pressure, so next time I will opt for a deep tissue, but she was absolutely wonderful and I feel very relaxed after a long time. (10 years lol) Edit: forgot to add how sweet and wonderful the receptionist was. I didn’t get her name but she definitely set the tone and made me feel comfortable as soon as I walked in.

I had an amazing experience at The Calming Hour. I get massages on a monthly basis, and I’ve received services from several different spas in Austin. I can say hands down that I received the best massage I’ve ever had in Austin at this establishment. I enjoyed their customized approach, discussing my problem areas with me before the session and tailoring the massage to fit my needs. They also made me feel that I had a safe space to unwind, and my masseuse even spoke words of affirmation as we began my session. 10/10 I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality massage at a top tier facility!

Jessy is such an phenomenal massage therapist!! She’s gifted with the ability to feel what areas need the most work and will intuitively alter pressure based on how your body responds. Jessy has been the reason for my shoulder pain relief and for that I’ll be forever grateful 🙌🏼 can’t wait to return again soon!

Great place, the staff is so friendly and they put in a lot of effort into their messages. Went in for a 30 minute trial (w/payment) just to test out messaging for the first time and I absolutely loved it. Everything at The Calming Hour was definitely calming after a hectic week. I recommend everyone to try this place out. The therapist was very gentle and I felt really comfortable throughout the whole process! :-)

Had another wonderful session with Christie today, always so attentive and makes sure that we go over my trouble points. I love the aromatherapy option, it really helps customize each session for my needs and goals. No matter how many times I visit each time is my new favorite. Really enjoying the new members program for returning clients as well. Can't wait for my next session!

I took my friend to The Calming Hour due to sever pain in sciatica . We were able to get an appointment on July2 that day which was the Sunday of the July 4 weekend . I was so glad to get in that day. Shay the therapist did a great job both relaxing and pain relief 5 stars. The facility is so warm and inviting and really is a calming space. I highly recommend this business

I've been getting prenatal massages here and they are great! Hillary can see women even in the first trimester, where most won't do prenatal massages until 2nd trimester. They have a bolster to accommodate both small and large bumps which is so helpful! I was able to lay face down and get the pressure on my back that I wanted with my massage from Jessy even though I'm showing quite a bit now. Without the bolster that wouldn't have been an option. Thank you!

New customer here with perpetually knotted shoulders from carrying a backpack all the time. In hopes of relieving the tension, I went to get a deep tissue massage from the therapists and was extremely satisfied with the service here. Jessica was professional, thorough, and personable which made it worth the time and enjoyable as well. My shoulders are much looser now, but I'll definitely be back when they get tight in the future!

Such a great massage business! Walked in last minute and was treated with the best vibes and kind, hospitable staff. You can tell they care a lot for both their staff and business. Large, clean space…you will definitely enjoy. Marcus and Jessica are great :)

Fitting name because the inside is very calming- the music, murals, and flowers from the ceilings. The front desk person was courteous and Jessy the massage therapist was awesome. I love how they took the time before the massage to help figure out how to adjust the massage to my needs and afterwards to advise me on how to stay relaxed. Looking forward to coming back.

I love the calming hour. The staff is respectful and caters to all of my needs. I’m a deep-tissue person, so I’ve seen rob, Jessica, and Kristi. I love the interior design and it is immaculate. I feel so relaxed when I visit. So far, it has been lovely. Thank you, calming hour!
