I love this place. It has taken me my entire adult life to find a hair salon that I feel comfortable in and they do a great job. As long as this place exists, I will never go any where else. I love the antique, retro, steampunk feel of the salon and the eclectic mix of people there. I knew the second I walked in there that these were my people.

Brandi did an absolutely AMAZING job on my hair today. Created the most wonderful shaggy haircut and even found curls in my super straight hair that I had no idea existed. I absolutely loved my visit!

Friendly, fun, and affordable. I had trouble finding a hairdresser in Greensboro that felt competent, easily accessible, and affordable until I found this place. I really enjoy the quirky, unique, and imaginative interior as well.

I love this place. So many things to say- they do extensions- they are unique in their approach to hair- but my hair has never looked better. I have live in NYC- Paris- Chicago and this place ranks higher for me. They do offer adult beverages during service. Don’t go anywhere else! I go to Delena.

If you are on the fence about coming here, get over it and book an appointment! I went to Brandi for the first time and she worked some serious hair wizardry with my thick, heavy hair. She took the time to look at photos, ask what I liked/didn’t like and gave me a cut that I never thought was possible. Somehow she found a natural wavy texture that I’ve never been able to achieve without a curling iron. Brandi made sure to talk me through the style so I could achieve it at home and was insistent that I know how to recreate with product and technique so I would remain happy with the cut (but not in a pushy way). I would give her a million stars if I could.

They rock, Brandi is so amazing to work with, she has mad skills. I had recently moved to the area and wanted to find the right person to color/cut my hair, she's the one. Open, honest and full of fantastic ideas to be sure you look FAB. Also the salon is so fun, creativity flows and you can tell they are a team that supports each other.

Brandi saved my hair. I went to a chain salon and they RUINED my hair, but Brandi fixed it and had just an amazing attitude and personality. I have debated for a while about posting a review of this salon. Ultimately, as someone who has experienced hair loss from chemotherapy, I felt like I needed to describe my experience. I honestly don’t understand the high reviews for this place. It’s one of the worst salons I’ve ever used. I don’t understand why I went there as long as I did. Something about losing your hair makes you vulnerable and afraid. I came for a consultation for extensions because they state they specialize in extensions for chemo related hair loss and alopecia. Everything seemed normal at the consultation. Everything was planned out and an appointment to color my hair first was scheduled. My color was a disaster, and I had to completely switch my hair color to red and order extensions in a color I didn’t want, but what can you do when you’re there over six hours with each attempt to correct the color issue is making it worse? I kept the first set of extensions (tape ins) for about eight weeks. The first installment was by the owner, and the first “move up” was also done by the owner. After that, I was handed off to another stylist who did my weekly blowouts for my extension maintenance (I don’t have use of my dominant hand and cannot style my own hair), including moving them up and reapplying them. I was not told this would happen. It came as a complete shock. However, I really like the girl doing my blowouts, and didn’t want to complain. Admittedly, yet another mistake. I didn’t realize she had no clientele other than myself and no experience whatsoever with extension application, minimal experience with root touch ups, and was not allowed to cut hair. Even though I requested it, no one felt comfortable cutting the extensions. The owner was dismissive of my request for the extensions to be cut. I even told the young apprentice that I paid the money for the extensions, but I was really paying for the final look- I wanted layers!!! I believe, if they had given me a good haircut and a decent color match, I’d probably still be giving them my money. I was told about another type of extensions called hello darlings that are similar to sew ins but are microbeaded. I ordered them for more variety in styling and the ability to shower when I had a migraine, without having to worry about the tape coming loose or the extensions hitting the floor of the shower. When those were placed by the inexperienced stylist, who had never professionally installed them prior to me. I asked that my tape ins be kept (they were virtually brand new) and was told that they would be. The new extensions were affixed to a ribbon like structure that has, upon installation, weird points that stick out and are completely noticeable, especially in thinner areas. The ribbon also scrunches up easily, making them more noticeable and making them feel bumpy to the touch. I asked for my tape ins to be put back on me, but I was told they had disappeared. I should have taken them with me. Lesson learned. Always take viable extensions home with you if they aren’t going back on your head. I asked for my new extensions to be cut and styled multiple times, but no one wanted to do that. Why? I bought them long specifically to be cut. Eventually the owner “layered them”. You couldn’t even tell because she barely put in any layers. The building is beautiful, but, the vibe is so negative. I’ve never heard one nice comment about her business from the owner, but I have heard every single complaint possible. The owner bullies the younger stylists, literally, while you are sitting in their chair and they are working on your hair. This is done while the owner has a client in her own and it’s uncomfortable. BOTTOM LINE: If you suffer from chemotherapy related hair loss, alopecia, or a conscience, I recommend you stay far away from this establishment. EDIT: I absolutely did reach out to one of your stylists,who gave me her phone number. I’m not going to go into details of why she gave me her number or what she told me. I will say I was saddened by her story.

I love The Chop Shop!! Conveniently located with unique decor!! I have been struggling with loving my hair for a few years now. I went in to get a mineral and oil treatment and extensions. I wanted to cry because I actually love my hair again. The extensions match so perfectly everyone thinks it is my natural hair!! Brandi is so caring, professional and knowledgable. I have found my new home salon and I could not be more pleased!

Love going to this place. Don't see how this place could ever get bad reviews. I've read them all and just sounds like they didn't get they wanted and threw a fit because they're hair didn't do would they wanted it too, and they took it out on the stylist. Not the stylist fault. Brandi is an amazing stylist, as well as all the other stylist. Calling her a "Bully" is outrageous. Brandi is a very talented and a perfessional stylist. Has a very teasing personality. The whole team teases eachother and it's very amusing. Nothing but laughter. Brandi, and team, you are doing great! Don't let the bad reviews get you down!

Megan Morrison cut my hair today. Before we started, she was very transparent as to what the styles involved and what products would be needed to achieve them. Lastly, i was going from very, very long hair to a layered longer medium to a slightly longer style. Which she knocked out of the ballpark! She was beyond patient with me, and I couldn't recommend her services any stronger as she's a great senior stylist. Also, the style i went with required a few products i didn't have but was able to get em there. As for the chop shop itself the decor blew me away & it was far different than any other salon I've ever been to and both myself and finance noticed these things and talked with one another about it. So do yourself a favor and check out the chop shop hair co.

Amazing staff!! Were able to squeeze my daughter in for her PreK haircut today when Pigtails and Crewcuts didn’t honor our appointment! Makayla, personally I enjoyed the way you interacted with my child and made her feel beautiful! We will definitely be back 🥰 such good vibes

Brandi is amazing! I found her shop online after getting a terrible haircut elsewhere in Greensboro. Brandi saved the day! She didn't just fix it, she gave me the cutest cut (a pixie) I have ever had. I feel so much more confident now. She was super kind, thoroughly explained my options, and never rushed anything. She was so careful to make sure I would be happy with it. I recommend her completely to anyone.

It can be intimidating going to a new, higher end salon. Happy to say that everyone we met at the Chop Shop was so friendly, accommodating and welcoming. My daughter wanted a new look for back to school and a significant amount of hair cut off. Came here based on the reviews. Brandi was so patient, listening and discussing different options and really took her time. My daughter was so happy with her haircut and has received so many compliments. They even made my younger daughter, who had to tag along, feel comfortable and offered her drinks and snacks. Thanks to all the wonderful ladies here for such a great experience!
