The management at this place is incredibly incompetent and scammy. We stayed for 5 nights around thanksgiving 2024. - Day 1 our AC was broken and they had to move us to a different room. - Day 2 the sink was broken in the new room. - Day 3 the TV refused to work, we called the front desk but they said their maintenance guy isn't there and he'll come the next day - Day 4 the maintenance guy doesn't show up. We call them again and then they send someone who spends hours in our room but still can't get it to work. - Day 5 the manager shows up, tells us the TV can't be fixed, but they'll refund our destination fees for the stay because of all the issues. Turns out they didn't waive our destination fee. They charged me for it twice and then refunded it once, to make it seem like they have refunded it. Unluckily for them I pay more attention to my receipts than that. I asked the front desk lady to fix this at checkout, but she said they'll refund it in a few business days. It has been almost 2 months. They haven't refunded anything. I called them and they told me the manager isn't here and I should leave him a voicemail. This is literally the scammiest dealing I've ever had with a hotel management. Absolutely unacceptable. Overall the rooms were poorly lit and had a lot of issues. The spa wasn't working at all during our stay. The hot tub was broken and they were drilling it, which was super noisy. The location felt unsafe too, there were people on drugs fighting outside the hotel once. There was one front desk person who was SO bad at her job and kept trying to make jokes about it. Like girl you're wasting my time, this isn't funny to me.

11Our sink was clogged, apparently before we even checked in, and the water would not drain at all. My husband called the front desk to fix it around 8 or 9pm and we were told there was nothing they could do because maintenence left at 7. They said all they could do was switch us rooms but it wouldn't be the same kind of room we already booked. We decided to stay because we were only staying one night and we weren't gonna move to a downgraded room with no refund to make up the difference for what we already paid. Needless to say, it was very tacky as hell having a clogged sink that was dripping water the entire night and having to brush your teeth or wash your hands in the bathtub. Based off of that and the fact that there was no attempt, let alone urgency to fix the issue I definitely wouldn't bother staying here again.

Husband and I just moved here and this was a great spot for when we wanted to hangout in Phoenix on the weekend. The no kids thing was what made us come back and part of why we liked it. The front desk service and bar service are great however. We were willing to overlook their VERY poorly done remodeling because it was clean and no one under 18 but now that they rescinded it we will finding somewhere else.

Initially, we were worried when we first drove up and saw the industrial look the hotel has, but once you're inside, you totally get the decor, especially since it's an older building, the look suits it. The staff is wonderful and extremely accommodating. We had a problem with our room door lock and after the 2nd day it actually locked us out. Brent (the Manager on duty) immediately got us a room 2 doors over and made some adjustments for our inconvenience, with no hesitation. Nice pool and large jacuzzi area. What we didn't expect was how delicious their lobby restaurant food is. The Steak sandwich, chicken parm sandwich, and Korean seasoned fries were as good as any top restaurant in downtown. All their bartenders were excellent but Marty was the one who had us going back every evening for our 4pm pre outing cocktail and our nightcap! He was just 👏 🤩 amazingly cool. He had the best vibes going. Kudos Marty! Pros: *rooms are immaculate *cleaning staff very helpful *clothing steamers in rooms *free water bottle and fridge in room *large rooms *great reception staff *comfortable mattresses from Tuft and Needle *delicious food and great bar area *approx 10 mins to downtown. Easy to access highway also. ***close to airport but quiet area. Downside of hotel: (not deal breakers) * The bathrooms are dim lighting, so applying even basic makeup is REALLY difficult. *no basic full length mirror or half length. Only dim bathroom face mirror. *no microwave (at least not in our room) (Again these aren't deal breaker) Will return! Thanks for the great stay

Title: A Hilarious Adventure in “Luxury” I have to say, the staff at this hotel was amazing! They deserve a standing ovation for their valiant efforts to mask the chaos within. From the outside, this place looks like it was designed by Wile E. Coyote to lure in the Road Runner—sleek and fancy, but once you step inside, you realize it’s more of a budget motel where dreams go to die. As for cleanliness, I thought the air conditioner was auditioning for a new role in a horror movie, shooting out what can only be described as dirt or possibly bird poop. I was half-expecting a small bird to fly out and apologize for its mess. And if you’re looking for unique decor, you can’t beat the toenail I found under the glass of the coffee table. Yes, a toenail! Forget modern art; this is the kind of statement piece you never knew you needed. Finally, for those late-night entertainment needs, nothing beats a good domestic dispute at 4:30 AM between what I assume was a hooker and her client—or maybe just an extremely passionate couple. Either way, it added a certain “je ne sais quoi” to the experience. Overall, if you’re looking for an unforgettable stay (for all the wrong reasons), this is the place for you! Just remember to pack your sense of humor—and maybe some disinfectant.

Hotel is +18 & over ONLY! Parking is minimal. The Elevator fit my Mom in a wheelchair and myself ONLY, super Small!! No breakfast included. Only a 15% off the restaurant. There was an empty water fridge in the lobby. Staff didn't ask if we needed help to our room. The ceiling in the bathroom showed a bad water leak patch. There was NO hand soap in the bathroom and ALL shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were completely EMPTY! Pool and spa are huge and there are nice private cabanas. There is an awesome rooftop lounge!

Both the sink and tub had clogging and slow draining. Odd noises throughout the night in the hall way outside my room #221.

It was a good place but I was a bit disappointed, I don't know if I would stay again. I just needed to get away for a couple days. The roof should be accessible to the guests with as much as it cost.

Not cool. This place is trying to profit from people whom need to use medical MJ. At first you see cannabis friendly and think oh an oasis finally, but no it’s just a trick. Well here is the thing You have no choice to pay the “resort” fees that have 0 resort amenities *Lastly, it is NOT 420 FRIENDLY as you would think.. Do not waste your time unless you want to pay extra money for a room that allows. Which makes it no different then other hotels. And that’s what is upsetting .. FLASE ADVERTISEMENT

Our visit to the unique, vintage-style hotel was a relaxing experience. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The Fuego restaurant is fantastic! This hotel may not be ideal for those seeking a tranquil, old-world suite, but if you're looking for a vibrant, youthful, vintage vibe and ambiance in Phoenix, this is the place for you.

Positive: Clean room and comfortable sleep. Negative: No

The building itself is from the 70s which is kind of neat. The staff here is awful- they won’t answer the phone- forget any kind of favors like an extra blanket, etc. this staff won’t help you at all. Mostly the day staff- just doesn’t care!! The present owner doesn’t care and hates people. Get a well known franchise hotel that hires friendly people!

The desk clerk was patient and helpful when I had an issue with my payment card and was friendly and accommodating of my needs. My stay was short, but the accommodations were nice, although showing age in some places. I would have liked for the restaurant and bar to be open a little later than 10 pm to avoid needing to leave, but it wasn't too big a deal. Finally, I really appreciated the kindness of Anthony, the security guard on duty. I was grieving and thought I was alone on the 4th floor overlooking the pool while I was crying really hard. He heard me crying and followed me to be sure I was safe. He literally talked me off the ledge (although I wasn't going to jump, but he didn't know that for sure), and his kindness brought me back to a more relaxed state. He deserves a medal just for listening to me when he could have just ignored me or followed me from a distance. Thank you, Anthony.

The food was excellent the spa was great and the gym was great and I have a 360 ° view on the rooftop bar.

The hotel itself is nice. However, the 1st room assigned was supposed to be non smoking and smelled terribly. If housekeeping cleaned it, they should have reported it. One of the towels had stained on it. The walls are very thin, so you could hear conversations. The front desk attendant was nice, but wouldn't stay here again.

The hotel rooms were nice and clean. The TV and refrigerator were nice. A microwave would have been nice. There was a steamer, but no iron or ironing board. A comfortable chair would have been nice. The biggest problem was the bathroom. I asked for a handicapped bathroom, but none were available. A handheld shower would have helped this old lady, as I couldn’t get in and out of the tub. Also, the soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower were much too high for this 5’1” lady. The staff was very nice. Please be more considerate of elderly and handicapped people, and make more provisions for handicapped bathrooms , and comfortable seating. Also, the beds were too low for me to get in and out of comfortably.

While the staff were exceptional and the rooms were clean, they lacked a serious update. Our room had one lamp that was supposed to be used to light up the entire living room area. We were also missing a piece to our sectional in the living room. The bathroom looked worse than my college dorm tub/shower combo. Let us not focus on the seven layers of paint that have all chipped at various spots to showcase their beautiful array of color choices below. Probably more comparable to a half-eaten Gobstopper. The sink in the master bedroom (outside of the bathroom) was a new update and the lighting was the brightest in the entire suite. There were 9 light switches in total that went to absolutely nothing. While this might have been strategically planned to keep those of us in a cannabis friendly room busy, it was rather confusing as to what they went to. The temperature controls to the suite are just for looks. They place a high tech remote with a temp range on it. If you aim said remote at the corresponding unit on the wall, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENS! Just for reference I spoke with another guest who encountered the exact same problems. I also noted that to get hot water in the shower you must calculate a worldly physics equation for 15 minutes of luke warm water. The cost of the cannabis friendly room included access to the cannabis lounge, which was the best perk. The cannabis lounge hostess (Candace) was the BEST EVER! She helped everyone and made them feel like family. The final drawback were the several homeless people living in an encampment 100 yards down the road from the main entrance and parking lot. While I didn't have any negative encounters while waiting for transportation, it was concerning to park so close without surveillance.

I will give this place the benefit that the front desk attendants were very helpful and kind. My partner and I received a "complimentary upgrade" as we were staying for our anniversary during a family trip. However, that's where the pleasantries end. The basic room itself felt ill-equipped and more of a shady motel off Van Buren in the late 90s: paint chipped, no furniture, no closet, and the bathroom was damp and dank. The AC would just whirl to no end and the door was not flush to the wall. The upgrade was mildly better but overall the lighting is ALL fluorescent. The sheets are yellowed and stained, wires are dangling everywhere, there's no closet, no basic hotel-motel-holiday-inn amenities, and the location is central to nothing. The gym was a box with no towels or water and just packed with more low-grade equipment that felt like it would break if you added more than 25 pounds. The Wifi won't work and the TV didn't do anything; the front desk lady, verbatim, told us "Yea, some of the TVs on the second floor just don't work. Try airplay." I'm not sure HOW or WHO rated this a 4-star hotel, but the Holiday Inn down the street is leagues better. Had we needed to stay more than the night, we would have cancelled the reservation and sought comfort elsewhere. I'd even stay with my mother.

The place has changed. Not for the positive. Room wasn't as clean and comfortable as my past experiences. The front desk people were. . Disconnected which gives the vibe of " just going through the motions and indifferent to my request" feeling. Then adding injury to insult an additional charge added , never any other establishment have charged this same fee, why is the Clarendon charging this fee?

We like this place but the beds were set very low to the ground this time?

Would definitely visit again. I had been there before but always drinking with friends. Stayed there sober for the first time and wouldn’t really recommend if that’s your plan. There’s a lot of details that made it look unsanitary and the jacuzzi was luke warm. The whole reason I went there was for a pool but we were a bit let down. Staff is always amazing and it’s super gay friendly which is a huge plus me.
