Simon did hair colouring and hair cut for me and it is the best hair cut I have got. Dint know a hair cut could make so much difference . And the colouring she put so much effort and it came out so well. The team is wonderful and very professional.

Clean beauty lab: 11 out of 10, 4.9 out of 4.0 gpa, A++ review here. I was a client of Simone before the pandemic and clearly took for granted of how wonderful the service was. I moved during the pandemic, searched and searched for another salon. I promise you nothing even came close to clean beauty. I finally was able to make an appointment with Simone and yet again my hair has never felt so good after this appointment. Mind you I have very wavy/curly thick hair which I feel is difficult and for most. Simone’s approach to hair is so reassuring and listens to your exact wants and comes up with a plan to get there if she cannot accomplish it in one appointment. It’s such a joy to visit Simone and the clean beauty lab; their environment is so joyful and calming. I recommend my top recommendations. Just go try it. You won’t regret at all.

These stylus work with all hair types and are absolute artist, especially Simone! Every time I walk out of this salon, I could walk right onto a runway. I have sent at least 20 of my girlfriends to Simone alone, but the salon services men as well. The space is gorgeous with insane views of Madison Square, Park and the flat iron building, but you will be more dazzled by how, amazing your hair looks., From cut to color, from braids and extensions, to natural styles, they do it all!

Exceptional service. The environment was the right mood. Facility was clean. The money sure was worth it. The staff was patient with mom. If I had enough money, I would have gotten my haircut as well! I will get a haircut next time! My mom enjoyed her haircut and root touch up! I am just annoyed that it took me this long to find this place! We are definitely coming back!

I had an amazing experience and time at this salon! The people were amazing, specially Lia who did my hair color, I’m so pleased and would 100% recommend it!! Also I love that they clean safe products that make it possible for pregnant ladies to do her hair guilt-free!

Michael is amazing colorist and I had such a great experience with this salon. Very friendly stuff, helpful with suggestions and overall very nice. Definitely my favorite salon. Highly recommend it 🫶🏻

I've been coming here for 6 years and am always pleased with how my hair looks and feels after working with Malvin. Even after moving out of the city, I make the hour trip to get my hair cut here because I always end up leaving feeling amazing. I highly recommend getting your hair cut here. You won't be disappointed.

My first ever review - so you know this place is better than good. I flew in from Miami to come here because I’m pregnant and recovering from hair breakage and straightening treatments and didn’t know/ trust a place that I would feel comfortable. My cousin (also previously pregnant) recommend the salon and I can’t thank her and the wonderful people that work here. I felt safe and comfortable and more importantly in good hands. I came in for a clean keratin treatment which I didn’t believe would work and also not smell and it was wonderful! I don’t know how it’ll holdup through the rest of my pregnancy but it’s something for now which is all I needed. I will be coming back and can’t recommend the salon anymore than I have already. GO!

The best Non-Toxic hair salon! 🫶🏻 Lia has been doing my color and Keratin for the past couple of years and I love it I wouldn’t change a thing. The product doesn’t smell and it’s very gentle. I highly recommended to anyone.

The shampoo & conditioner they make and sell. Is the best I have ever had in 61 years !! I highly recommend this establishment. My wife uses them too and her hair has never looked and felt so good.

Mauricio transformed my look! After years of coloring my own hair, it was getting too dark and Mauricio had mentioned that I could brighten my look by lightening my hair. I was too stubborn and too afraid to change what I knew but finally I decided to trust, as I knew he only wanted me to look my best and BOY WAS HE RIGHT!! He not only lightened my hair to a more natural color for my face but styled my hair to a more modern cut! Best decision I have ever made!! I get compliments all of the time on how young I look and how great my hair looks. When you have someone who wants you to look and feel good about yourself and cares about the environment, you stick with them and I have for the past many years. Thank you to Mauricio and his entire amazing team!!

Ariana is the absolute best. She’s highlighted my hair for the last five years, and I would not trust anyone else. I constantly get compliments on my hair - the results are always natural and grow out beautifully. Aside from being an amazing stylist, she is incredibly personable and accommodating with appointments.

I recently went natural after shaving all my hair off in January 2019. I shared my natural hair journey with Andres, Mauiricio, Malvin, Simone, and Lia. The entire team shared their professional advice on the best and safest way to achieve brightening my hair color. I colored my hair myself for the first time and along the lines it oxidized and turned orange. After seeing the damage I did to my hair before I was a little nervous to do color again, but they made me feel comfortable and confident in the process. The salons vibe was so relaxing and beautiful I didn't want to leave. Andres did an AMAZING job with my color! Feeling my hair after my application it felt healthy, soft, and strong. The Clean Beauty Lab just launched their own product line that they use on their clients. The shampoo is amazing, but the conditioner is the KEY! As a natural hair girl, it is hard to find authentic hair care products for ethnic hair. So I really want to commend them for keeping all hair textures in mind. So if you are looking for clean and authentic organic products, this is really the place.

A couple of years ago I decided to switch to a non-toxic hair salon, and I'm so glad I found the Clean Beauty Lab. The staff is incredibly warm and down-to-earth, and the services are exceptional. I am always in awe of Simone's ability to transform my hair, and Ariana is a keratin QUEEN! I have nothing but love for this place.

Came all the way from Westchester County. A total of 1.5 hour commute to get to the location and taking 20 minutes to find parking. As I made the appointment for 2pm, I was 30 minutes late due to the traffic I did not expect. As other salons I went to, they try to accommodate and at least still do what you would like to do to satisfy their clientele. They also called me twice to change my appointment to an earlier time (which I could not do as I tutor and work at the hospital in the morning), to accommodate their own schedule rather than to be professional and not call their potential clients about changing their appointments. Very unsatisfied with this salon. Do not recommend.

Clean and inviting beauty lab that uses high quality, organic products that is gentle for your hair. The entire staff is amazing. They take all the necessary precautions to ensure a safe space. Everything is immaculately clean. Social distancing protocols are strictly in place between yourself and other clients. Masks are worn at all times. They do provide disposable masks so you don’t have to worry about getting your own mask ruined by their organic dyes or other products. Clear eye shields are gently placed on your face when it’s time to lay back on the wash basin to protect your eyes. Overall a great experience. I left feeling like a beauty queen after going in resembling a castaway on a remote island.

I’ve been going to this salon for years and always feel very welcomed—everyone is warm and friendly. Each appointment is a relaxing experience in a light-filled studio without any chemical smells. I appreciate that stylists take the time to listen to what I am looking for and truly care about making me happy. I highly recommend this salon to others looking for non-toxic products.

Absolutely LOVE this place! It’s a little peaceful oasis and I felt totally taken care of while I was there. Love the time they spend with you to talk about the look you want and I love how they don’t make you feel rushed out like so many other salons. Really loved this place and will definitely be back

I was introduced to Mauricio Hair Salon by Simone as I follow her wherever she goes. It’s such a nice bright space and you don’t feel like you’re in salon. Their organic products are awesome, you don’t leave there with the chemical smell on your hair. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Mauricio Hair Studio is a little gem of a place overlooking Madison Square Park. It's bright and chic and, because it is an organic salon, it doesn't have that terrible chemical smell in the air. They use all-natural, organic products from shampoo to color to treatment, and the staff are knowledgeable about the ingresients and what they do to different hair types. My stylist, Simone, gave me an expert consultation and tailored my hair color (a full color job for spring) and cut processes to my hair type and history. She was very warm and friendly throughout my visit, even though my thick, dark hair took us longer to work with than originally estimated. The other stylists and staff gamely jumped in to help. It's a very team-oriented environment that takes professionalism to an elevated level. I came out of my appointment with my hair looking and feeling absolutely amazing. Definitely coming back for future appointments and I certainly do recommend it!

Mauricio transformed my hair; from lifeless to voluminous. My color is consistently beautiful, natural, and gorgeous. Unlike most salons, Mauricio’s is always an oasis of calm with a spa like atmosphere that really adds to the experience. I recommend him highly.

This was my very first time at Mauricio Hair Salon. From the moment I called to schedule my appointment with Lia for color, this experiment has been a dream. The location is beautiful and smells amazing because the products are truly organic (and the dyes don’t smell like chemicals). Andres was my stylist and he was super friendly and thorough. Their focus on the customer service is evident in all of the touches throughout the space. Today I came for a balayage and got so much more. The team was super friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed like they really love what they do, from Lia, to Adelin, to Andre they each took great care of each of me and all of the clients here today. My consultation, balayage process and amazing massage chair shampoo station experience made my time here so delicious. So worth it to come here, I will recommend this space to all of my friends, especially pregnant gals and come back again. The value you get for the price is soooo worth it. Love my hair soo much!
