Best haircut ever. And reasonably priced.

Very bad experience, disastrous hair color and cut. (didn't listen to what I wanted, or really consider options... died my hair black , not what I asked for!!! cut terrible, asked for layers, got bad chunks. I'm really disappointed that after two calls and 2 emails they just didn't want to make it right. they had the chance...

Great service, warm people. They've saved my hair twice from other salons in town. I've decided to abandon my usual guy to see them regularly from now on. LGBTQ+ safe space.

The owner Puey ( hope I spelled right) is always amazing. She fixed my hair today right before a huge event. Even though I have moved to a different town, she is worth making the drive. I will alway get my color and bangs done from her only. True fashionista and amazing stylist. Thank you ❤️

I wanted to brighten my hair and showed the picture with special remarks- I want to be bright blonde not grey or platinum. I spent there 4(!) hours . They tried 4 different colors. At first 3 times the result was horrible- dull grey/silver color! I showed up with light hair but they made it much darker grey. I was in tears. It were 3 women trying to do correction. Only the 4-th time made my hair look like blonde. I don’t like the attitude of these women- they were annoying with me and tried to prove that grey hair which they made look like like bright blonde! And one of them just trimmed the back of my hair didn’t touch front or sides. Anyway the price for their horrible job was $270! My hair is fine and 4 chemicals treatments made a lot of damage. I don’t recommend this hair salon !

Leah helped transform my hair! I have naturally light hair and she gave me beautiful highlights with a sick cut. I have been salon hopping trying to find someone who knows how to deal with my hair and Leah is my new go-to!

I am new to the area and starting over with a new stylist can be quite scary. I feel so grateful to have worked with Leah to create a fresh & healthy hairstyle & beautiful & balanced color as I begin my new career in Santa Barbara. Leah took the time to listen, to ask questions and work with me. I left the salon with a big smile and have continued for several days now to be very satisfied. Both the cut and coloring are perfect. Thank you Leah. See you again.

I asked for a complete bleach with my natural color as a shadow root. It took two sessions to get to the light blonde i desired but it still looks lovely even grown out almost 2 years later! Evelyn did a wonderful job blending my natural color into the blonde that other stylists from different salons have commented on the quality of my bleaching & balayage. I am looking forward to seeing her soon for something slightly different.

I didn’t even get a wash or styling and it took her probably 15 minutes to cut my hair and it was 65$, feels kind of unreasonable.

In early January I took my older daughter in to have her hair cut and colored and she got severe chemical burns on her face and ears from the bleach the stylist used which will likely leave her with permanent scarring. The stylist applied the bleach haphazardly so the bleach was a good inch+ on my daughter's face and caked on her ears. When my daughter almost immediately complained that her ear was burning, the stylist tried to wipe it off her one ear and then walked away, telling her she'd be back in 20/25 minutes once the bleach had done its job. About 5 minutes later my daughter texted me and asked me to come back to her chair. When I did, she said the bleach was burning her face and ears, and upon looking for the stylist and not being able to find her, I got paper towels from the bathroom and wiped the heavy bleach off the skin along her hairline, and tried to wipe it off her ears but it was difficult with the foil. The skin on her hairline was already quite red after only about 7-8 minutes on her skin. In typical teen form, she said her ears were “fine” and she’d wait until the stylist got back. When the stylist returned nearly half an hour later, she saw my daughter’s skin and told her “that doesn’t normally happen” and advised her to use aloe vera on it when she got home. The rest of the appointment was fine, my daughter loves her hair, but as we were driving home from the appointment nearly 2 hours later (the appt took almost four hours), I noticed that my daughter had developed large blisters on her ears and that the red burns on her face were blistering and scabbing over. We got her home, applied aloe vera and balm, and will continue to do so. I considered going to urgent care, but read up on burn treatment and it doesn’t seem there is anything different or more they can do, so I instead sent a message to the dermatologist. I called the salon manager Mischa when we got home and when we connected the next day I told her about my daughter’s burns and suggested some safety protocols to ensure this didn’t happen in the future. She was polite, but essentially blamed us for the burns occurring. She said because my daughter is on a topical acne cream, that her dermatologist should have advised us of the risks of using bleach. Her dermatologist did not advise us of that risk, but also, there shouldn’t have been a full inch of excess thick bleach ON my daughter’s skin and ears. Had the stylist kept the bleach to the hair, we would not be in this horrible situation with my daughter likely being permanently scarred. Furthermore, my daughter does not use the cream on her ears and her ears are a total mess, heavily blistered and discolored, so the burns happened there with no cream involved. My suggestions, which again the manager did not feel were necessary, were that: 1. They inform clients up front when the color they desire is going to first require bleach so they can pause and consider whether they want to bleach their hair. We were not advised of this need. 2. They ask clients if there is anything that could possibly cause a reaction with the bleach before they start. Perhaps had they asked us we would have thought to share that my daughter uses a cream for acne prevention even though we had no idea this was an issue and perhaps the stylist would have been more careful with the application of the bleach. 3. That they apply vaseline or some other balm on the hairline and ears for clients when they are getting bleach, the same way they SHOULD do when clients are getting color to provide a protective layer. 4. That they have aloe vera, balm and other remedies for these sorts of burns should they occur in the future so that clients can be treated immediately. And that they check for a reaction BEFORE leaving a client alone in the chair for an extended period. I’m really upset this happened to my daughter and that her gorgeous skin will likely be permanently scarred as a result, which just sucks and was totally avoidable. (Site is currently not letting me upload photos, I will as soon as I can.)

This place is literally taking advantage of clients. They do the small service and charge you for something much more. Recently I got a gloss with someone called Misha, and she decided to charge for all over color which is about 200 where a gloss is less than 100. I don't not recommend this salon, especially the stylist, Misha and her team. Unless you want to waste your money and leave with something that other salons do for so much less don't bother going there.

Best salon in SB hands down. The quality and value is stunning.

Completely disappointed in the scheduling. Very unprofessional. Booked weeks in advance to be canceled on twice. I manage a business so my hours are limited. I made it a point to schedule in advance to avoid dealing around with my tight schedule. Went to the consultation weeks in advance. Jumped through all their hoops and I was still canceled on not once but two days in a row. The remaining alternatives were extremely limited and not accommodating. I had plans to go on my ten year anniversary trip with a fun new hair style. I get things happen but they seemed to hardly care and only made an attempt to make things work after I basically groveled and begged them.. huge let down.

Had an emergency meeting and desperately needed grooming. I’m not sure if the receptionist was intoxicated but they Mis scheduled me again! Completely unprofessional.

Great location, always have good results but there is a caveat. Be very clear with your stylist about costs. They all work as independent contractors and will offer services without identifying the price. I had to switch stylists after my favorite one left, and I assumed the prices would be the same (my ignorance and I didn't check) but at checkout the service was $50 more. Grrrr. My $120 bill went to $170. When I returned to the same stylist she asked if I wanted a hair cut. I explained no, I would come back for that as I am on a budget and her price point was different than my previous stylist. All good. She colored my hair and did low lights. She asked if I wanted my hair blow dried and I confirmed - I thought she was asking as she was 20 minutes late for my 11:30 appointment and I had a 1:30 work meeting. I got to the check out and my bill was - again, $170! I was shocked and the kind receptionist showed me I had been charged $50 for styling, the same price as a haircut. I have never been charged for blowdrying my hair after a coloring process. This seemed out of integrity for me. Prices are posted no where and she was aware I was on a budget. I am perfectly happy paying for good services and tipping well. My plan had been a $25 tip on top of a $120 bill. There was a line and I had a meeting I had to log onto immediately so I couldn't address it at the time but I have contacted the owner.

I wanted to cover grey roots. I was rather surprised that the colorist immediately started mixing color without asking about what color and tone I wanted. I managed to ask her what color she was mixing, and found out that she was mixing two shades lighter than my natural color. Turns out she was mixing to match my ends and not my natural color. She made it darker, but not by a whole lot. Long story short, this is a good place for people who know nothing about hair color and don’t know what to ask for, because that’s how the stylists tend to treat you. If you are familiar with “levels”, tone, undertone, you should assert yourself as full Karen as you can manage since that’s what it may take to get the hair color you want. I ended up regretting not being more assertive. Won’t be going back.

I was looking for a haircut within the week and they were the only place available and I’m so glad I came here for the first time! Isabel did my hair and I loved it and she was so nice. She understood what I wanted and gave me what I asked for. The place is spacious and definitely felt safe getting a haircut here. I will definitely come again in the future!

My hair is a disaster, after diy colouring in locked-down Ontario, Canada, i’m finally spending a few days in Santa Barbara and decided to call around for a last- minute appointment at a local salon. The color-room fitted me in, and I’m SO pleased! She (sorry! Didn’t catch your name!!) matched my colour, trimmed my hair and gave me great advice. The place is easy to find, plenty of parking, and it’s clean and airy. Thank you so much!!!

Getting a haircut with a new hairstylist can be a bit daunting especially if you have had disastrous results in the past - either with cuts, colors or perms or any of these in different combinations. From my first appointment I was made to feel welcomed and comfortable, offered a beverage and enjoyed a consultation were I felt that the stylist was listening to my preferences and my concerns. I try to have my hair cut/trimmed & colored every 4 to 6 weeks. And I try to keep this up even when we have a heavy work/travel schedule. Sean has been my stylist for the better part of the past 3 years. So glad I was able to find him! Keeping up on my hair routine has never been so stress free. Wonderful salon, great staff.

Worst experience today. Asked for Carmel in my hair and I left 3.5 hours later with fried hair after three attempts to correct. Left with no Carmel and hair I could have done myself with a box from cvs. Never going back. Disappointed is an understatement.
