The Common Room is an alternative, queer woman owned beauty salon where self expression meets expert care. Our studio specializes in a range of services from holistic facials and body waxing, to brow and lash treatments, to specialty haircuts, colors, and extension services. We are dedicated to ensuring every client leaves feeling empowered and confident. Patricia is an amazing esthetician. She healed all of my skincare concerns within a year of using her services, and she always has helpful skincare tips and advice to offer. She’s incredibly sweet and easy to talk to, and she provides a very relaxing facial experience. Would highly recommend her facials, waxing, and lash lift services! Alexa is an incredibly talented stylist, and she’s super personable and kind. I’ve only had good experiences with her! She’s great with my curly hair too, which can be challenging to find in Indy. This salon is also SUPER vibey, love the decor.

Alexa has been coloring my hair for years. She is so incredibly talented and just a super cool chick. If your looking for a color expert Alexa is it! Highly recommend this salon.

Love this place- hair stylist, color, and waxing services are the best I’ve ever had. The folks are lovely, the pricing is very fair, the vibe is super comfortable and welcoming, and the parking is easy. I highly recommend this salon and love it!

The owner is the absolute sweetest and most thoughtful person. She has a refreshment bar right as you enter with snacks and tea options. The aesthetic is funky and groovy with a goth edge with artwork done by a local artist (@kayjwill) above the wash sinks. The esthetician is super welcoming and very thorough in explaining the different steps or stages of the session. I can't wait to see what other services they offer! So excited for the next step into a store front (been going to them for 3 years)
