Dee was absolutely amazing. She transformed my hair from dry and flat to very hydrated, bouncy curls. She was very easy to talk to and provided good clarification about how to maintain the style on my own. I was very pleased with service Dee provided and would highly recommend her.

I had a great new client appointment with Doretta. She was wonderful she helped shape my hair exactly how I was imagining. I’ve had curly cuts before but it wasn’t what I wanted but this exceeded my expectations. She had me style a section of my hair so I could really understand how to do it. She helped me feel so much more confident in the curls than I have in a long time!

I recieved a custom curly cut from Dee and it's the BEST curly haircut I've received since being loose natural for 20 years. I was also curly hair ( wash n go ) educated. Dee is so kind and was very understanding of my hair and haircut needs. This was an AWESOME experience. I will be back.

I found this business via a Google search, and after reading the reviews, made an appointment with Dee. My hair has been a mess for the last two years, transitioning from a short cut to longer hair. Healthy, but very unruly with sections that are flat, barely wavy, and others often frizzy and knotted. Reading about natural hair, products and processes for care routines and styling, and watching countless videos left me overwhelmed and hopeless. Arriving for the new client curl session, I was filled with anticipation and curiosity, not knowing what to expected for my specific locks. From beginning to end, I learned, watched, and absorbed as much as I could and enjoyed every second of my time with Dee. After a chat, she cut my hair (dry, not wet, which was shocking and a first for me), detoxed, shampooed, conditioned, applied styling product, dried, and then styled my hair. Dee explained what she was doing, the products and tools being used, and showed me how much product to use while talking me through the application technique. The hands on demonstration and presentation was easy to understand and remember. At the end of our session, I purchased the needed products, and Dee walked me through my refresh steps, including recommendations for how to maximize hair health and curl while sleeping. I could not be more thrilled! This was by far the best hair session I’ve ever experienced, and Dee is phenomenal! She is knowledgeable, gentle, informative, and talented. Have no doubts or worries - this salon and team are top notch! A very happy client, feeling sassy and beautiful! Ladies, go and experience the transformation - you’ll be amazed and so happy you did it!!!

I booked a curly session in December and enjoyed the experience getting my hair trimmed, shampooed and deep conditioned. I also like that Dee showed me how to define my natural curls without having to two-strand twist my hair. I look forward to going again.

My daughter and I had the best experience last Friday. My daughter wanted a curly cut and a bit of Education on how to best style and maintain her hair. The ladies in this salon were a God send. They did a steam treatment on her hair to reset the chaos she caused with the million products she’s been using (🫣), spoke to her with kindness and care when addressing her concerns, and walked her through every step of how to properly care for her curls. I think I left with a full page of notes. Thank you again for taking the time to meet with us, offering a true consultation, and being good humans. We can’t wait to come back for her maintenance trim in three months.

I just got my hair cut there by Doretta. This was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with getting my haircut. As a curly head, it’s hard to feel like you can trust people with your hair. I felt so comfortable, cared for and PUMPED with how my hair turned out. I highly recommend this salon.

My stylist help me out with learning about my hair and how to style it. I've been natural for more than 10 years and I could never seem to get my hair feeling soft, condition, or even healthy. One appointment with Doreeta and I can see a major change and how my hair looks and feels. I've been using so many different products on my hair to style it. You know you always have to go through your process. One appointment and I only needed really one product and my hair is never looked better! This place is well worth any amount of money that you pay. I live in Raleigh and I come all the way back home to Greensboro just to get my hair done.

10/5! Doretta is AMAZING! I have struggled with finding someone who truly knows how to work with curly hair as long as I can remember and Doretta is a game changer! Not only does she truly know curls (all types) and how to work with them, but she took the time to share her product knowledge with me and to teach me how to properly style my curls. I have also recently been struggling with my red hair color no longer being vibrant and she corrected that too. I could go on and on - highly recommend!

I have EXtremely thick wavy hair with areas that are straight, and terrible cowlicks with resultant unruly bangs. Doretta is amazing! She was able to tame this mane - I think this is the first time that I have had a stylist who really understood my hair, and worked with it rather than trying to cut it the same way as every other head of hair. I’ve literally had stylists say “I don’t know what to do with them referring to my hair/bangs. What a fabulous experience to have someone with her knowledge and skill. I can’t recommend her enough. Doretta is my hairstylist. I really enjoy the relaxing, minimalistic, and professional vibe of this salon both Doretta and Dee are awesome hairstylists with a wealth of knowledge and they are not afraid to share that with their clientele. I had a curly cut and color done. My prior experience at a lot of other natural hair salons is that there is a lack of experienced colorist let alone stylist that know how to cut curly hair especially tightly coiled hair like mine. It's refreshing that I could go to one place and find that level of experience and expertise.

I don’t believe I can convey in words how PLEASED I am with the service I received during my 1st visit at Curl Company GSO, but I’ll give it my best shot, they deserve the shoutout! From arriving to the time my service was concluded it was personalized. Doretta greeted me and promptly began my service shortly after arrival, I wasn’t stranded left sitting waiting to be serviced. THE SERVICE was nothing less than PHENOMENAL. Doretta took the time to educate me as she detoxed and nourished my curls and coils which needed some TLC. After that she took time to define my curl pattern and shape my hair to perfection! HONEY I’m in love with my curls I have a whole new attitude! Thanks so much Doretta & Curl Company GSO💕

I had a decent experience here getting my first "Curly Cut" in an effort to tame my wild hair. The staff was pretty friendly and very knowledgeable. The biggest draw back for me is their pricing. Simple hair cuts are on the high side for me. While I get that I am paying for their expertise with curly hair, it makes it difficult to afford the curly upkeep when each hair cut runs me over $100.

If you have curly hair and you style it to be curly you need it to be cut properly! Go here! I went years with "weird" long curly hair with no shape. Doretta at the curl company will fix you right up! Worth every penny!
