Wow what an amazing experience! Roxy cut and styled my hair, and I have never gotten the curls that Roxy was able to style under all my frizz. Not only was the final output amazing, the whole process was very positive and I have recommended Curl Whisper to all my curl friends. Roxy took her time to teach me about my hair, from products, to styling, to how to maintain and make my hair styling last. I have been to plenty to curl experts before, but Roxy took the cake. The salon itself was also very nice and clean, which I appreciated, everyone was very friendly.

I was nervous going here because natural curly hair in the past was shunned when walking into a salon. But, I grew tired of maintaining my Lucious tendrils myself. Upon arrival, the setting is everything I’ve been searching for. It’s an Upscale designed salon with upscale service. An assortment of beverages from tea to coffee to a mimosa are offered. Sam listened to my regimen likes and dislikes. Educated me on really thoughtful tactics for my curl type. The end result was spectacular and shocking. All the trauma I’ve experienced with my African American curly hair to now experiencing such a warm nurturing educated place like this I am leaving happy and definitely returning. This is my new salon for curly hair. I recommend this place 1000% too all my mixed African American girls in miami this place knows what they’re doing.

I had an amazing experience in The Curl Whisperer today with Andrea. As a wavy woman who loves her hair, I’m normally a bit scared to cut it with someone new to me. Today I arrived a bit shy, but Andrea walked me through all the process with care, a huge smile, and all the patience in the world. I highly recommend her and the curl whispered. If you have natural curly hair and want to rock your natural hair this is the place to go. If you are transitioning to your natural hair, this is the place to go. This place is so much more than a hair salon. The ladies there are specialists styling, cutting and treating curly hair. They use great products and teach you about them. Not only will you get the exact haircut you need and want, but you will learn to style and treat your hair, and you will learn about the products that are good for your hair and you can also buy them there. It is a school of curls. Not to mention the enviroment is great and you will totally leave this place happy with the way you look and relaxed. My stylist is Roxany and she is amazing, gentle, caring and really understands what your hair needs. Most importantly she respects your wishes about length. This is the second time I cut my hair with her and I will not go anywhere else ever again. I have found my people!

No one has ever cut my hair as good as the boss ladies at Curl Whisperer. They really know their stuff and don’t use a generic haircut on guys like the cookie cutter barbers in town. If you’re a dude with curly hair, you best save your money and just get the best haircut of your life here, cos let’s be honest: no barber in town has a single clue on how to style curly hair. Always worth it and I always leave feeling like I just got the best haircut of my life.

I love the Curl Whisperer so much. All of the workers are so kind and the atmosphere within the salon was great. I got my hair cut by Steph and got highlights done by Pam. They were amazing and so educational. They made sure I knew everything there is to know about hair care. I will definitely come more consistently because of them. I love my hair and will 100% come back to those two stylists.

Front desk staff and management were very friendly and professional. My wife had an appointment with Samantha Suarez and wow she came out amazing! I traveled from north Florida to get my haircut done at the curl whisperer. What a beautiful salon! They offered me complimentary champagne, wine, coffee mimosas… like what!!!! I was so excited, then my stylist Samantha came over and started my consultation and carefully and patiently explained the whole process. She answered my questions through out the service and gave me the hair of my dreams! I love this salon and Samantha!

First time visiting the Curl Whisperer (South Miami). They are all amazing! I loved Roxany she was nice and gave me an amazing haircut. I loved that Roxany and Sharon were telling me how to properly take care of my curls and recommended products based on my hair needs. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I will soon come back!! :) I went again, but to the Coral Gables location to get a hair updo for my sister's wedding. I wholeheartedly recommend Emily. She is nice and thanks to her I look gorgeous.

I have been coming here for a few years now. I’ve always been happy with my stylist and today I came in for root touch up and she notified me that the root touch up (not even entire hair) was going to be $200, more than double than what it cost before. A few thoughts on this: 1. No one from management called to notify of this major change before my appointment, making me drive to the appointment (which is now far for me since they moved locations) 2. Management had my stylist notify me of this change while I am ready and seated on the chair. What an uncomfortable position to put the stylist in as this is not her responsibility! 3. I asked what can be done as this is a huge surprise last minute, and no one notified me in a timely fashion so that I can make a decision before showing up. The response was they could leave it at the original price if I committed to coming in every 3-4 weeks Instead of the every 6-8 weeks which has been my typical for years. They did not honor the price for the day considering the lack of timely communication, so I had to leave without service rendered. 4. Prices are quite hefty here to begin with, as the original price was already at the higher end. It’s understandable that sometimes prices have to go up, but an Increase of $105, hitting the $200 mark on a service that normally does not hit $100 is strange. I share as constructive criticism as there are a lot of good things about The Curl Whisperer, and I hope that this is considered so future clients don’t experience this. Customer service makes a huge difference.

Genuinely so sad and disappointed in my haircut. Consultation lasted 10 seconds and my hair is so much shorter than it was before. I barely asked for anything off. Asked for a diamond shaped haircut... got a round one.. 🙁 Genuinely feel so ugly it barely fits into a ponytail now and my ponytails were so voluminous before. Have cried a little too much already...

Severe lack of customer service. The lady at the front desk was unprofessional and rude. I provided feedback regarding a lack of clarity on their late policy and suggested that it be included on their booking site. The responses I received were defensive and evasive. The lady said “listen, English is my second language” and did not acknowledge my concerns or assume responsibility. Other stylists heard the conversation and simply started to do other things. These services costs a lot of money to not be treated with respect and professionalism. The staff and atmosphere a year ago were much better. There are plenty of other salons to go to in Miami. This kind of treatment does not need to be tolerated.

I was very disappointed with the service. I had my appointment at 12:30 pm with Samantha Suarez and was not seen until close to 1 pm because another customer was being helped checking out. The final product was horrible. I went in for finger curls and the end product was not it. I received an explanation that it’s due to my heat damage but my hair looks uneven. The front had hair sticking out. I paid as fast as I could because I was about to cry on how bad it looked. I’m very disappointed and would never go back, I wish I can get my money back for this horrible product. Please note the pictures were taken immediately after.

I had an appointment for 2:30. They said the stylist was running late with the current client. I waited for 30 minutes. Looked over and she was nowhere near done. Very unprofessional and disrespectful of people’s time. What’s the point of making an appointment if I have to wait more than 30 minutes to even get acknowledged? If a client was this late they would surely reject them, so I don’t understand why it’s okay the other way around. I’ve been here many times but now it feels like it’s not worth it. If I’m paying $150+ for a cut, being punctual is the bare minimum.

My Favourite curly hair salon in Miami! I hava been three times they were who I went to for my first big chop, my first hair cut after growing my hair out, and I recently got a consulation for colour and a balayage with them! Everyone working here is so professional and kind and are always making sure you are comfortable! I got my first hair cut after growing my hair out with Ariadna I came in with a few photos from pinterest of girls with a similar hair type to me with the hair cut I wanted to go for, Ariadna ensure I received that every step of the way and explained how we would reach it . I also love that when they style your hair they tell you the products they use + how to use then to get the effect they give you! which is a plus for me! In my most recent visit with them I was taken care of by Neyda in which she is truly a Master with dyeing my curls . For my consulation and visit I had pictures of the effect/ balayage that I wanted and how I wanted it to look and she did just that! Truly a wonderful experience every time I am here !

I love curl whisperer but I’ll just drive to sunset location from plantation instead of midtown. I’m going to reschedule with one of the stylists that is still there since I began going to curl whisper many years ago before midtown location existed. (Ariadna) I paid 180$ to go in and come out looking the same. It was my first time with Katherine in midtown, last time it was Liam (she’s not there anymore unfortunately, she was great). I asked for length with volume if possible but if not I want to go short. I told her I don’t like flat hair and I like a lot of volume. She agreed to clean up and trim, I assumed she would trim all my layers. She literally only cut a couple of curls off then proceeded to brush my hair while dry. I asked her after she was done brushing if that’s all the hair that she was going to cut and I shared with her my concern that My hair is in a triangle shape. By the look of her face she didn’t agree or see my triangle shape or didn’t know what I was talking about. She then said she would cut my hair more after it was styled & proceeded to have my hair washed. After wash she styled my hair, she trimmed off a couple more curls at the end of the service and that’s it. She asked me if I wanted to change I did want change but was running short on time and had to go to work and didn’t want her fixing my hair ( I had been there for 2 hours) I just told her it’s fine and left I didn’t want to argue it was my birthday on 12/28. She is a nice woman but Honestly I can gel, twist and diffuse my own hair. I come to Curl whisper mainly for hair cut and I see it as amazing to have your hair styled that’s offered along with your hair cut and included in the price. Update: as the days go on I hate my haircut more and more. It’s terribly cut and I posted pictures to show. I’ve tried styling it. I don’t understand why the back of my head is looking like that. I looked better before I went in. Never going with Katherine again.

I’ve been a loyal customer at this salon for over seven years, but recent changes have left me disheartened. The shift from caring for customers to prioritizing profits is evident. The suggestion that a good haircut requires a higher payment for an experienced stylist, while offering rookies at a lower cost, is disappointing. There are other salons that prioritize your needs at a far more reasonable cost while providing a great experience. It’s unfortunate to witness this departure from the salon’s initial commitment to customer care and fair pricing.

This place was expensive and a let down. I have fine, low density hair and the only tips that helped me were the products they recommended. The cut was awful and so was the styling.
