I would recommend Devon. I have very long hair and get stressed when hair stylist cut it shorter then I tell them, but Devon did exactly what I asked for. He even said “I think you only need an inch and a half off” which is less then I suggested. Literally amazing!!

Ashley, Devon, Betty and team at the salon are very knowledgeable and experienced, and they were able to accommodate me as a new client on short notice, and turn my damaged, dry hair into shiny, beautiful and healthy in 2 short hours. I am no newbie to Brazilian blowouts but was my first time getting the Brazilian express - love it! Highly recommend. Will be returning for all future hair needs!

This place is a really great experience and business. I’ve been a client of Betty, Devon and Ashley! What a great team. I just feel so confident about my hair. I’m treated so nicely, I’m made to feel welcomed and I am heard about my wants and needs concerning the “plan” for my hair. The shop is super clean, comfortable and relaxing. Devon is amazing, talented and attentive. Ashley is the same-top tier. And Betty leads the group-just tremendous. I really don’t often write reviews. This salon is by far my favorite place!! Ashley always does a wonderful job with my color and is always honest and caring when it comes to discussing options for what services would be good for my hair. The location is super convenient. Ask them about their split end treatment! It’s a life saver for those of us with longer colored hair. Can’t say enough good things, if you haven’t already, try them out!!

After having an amazing stylist in Austin, it was important to me to find a salon fit when I moved home to Dallas in 2016. The Do Cut & Color has been my place for seven years, and I can’t imagine going anywhere else for A+ hair therapy.

As a model and now mother I have been to many different hair colorists over the years. Betty is by far the best I have ever had. Shes very knowledgeable of hair and understands the perfect shade of blonde without any damage. I’m naturally dark brown now for many years flaunting a golden blonde mane. Thank you Betty

I normally don't write reviews but I had to for this one. This place is amazing everyone is really friendly. The salon is nicely organized, decorative and clean. I 100% recommend Devon. I've been to many hairstylist but couldn't find one who seem to actually care about my hair. Devon was very attentive and knew exactly what I was looking for. He gave me much guidance and tips on hair care and style. I love my hair now, and will continue to go to him for future appointments.

I wish I could rate the salon and the personnel separately! I've had my hair cut by JoJo twice, she is a lovely person and a great hairstylist. I've had interactions with a male stylist there (sorry I didn't catch his name) and the assistant stylist and they are also lovely people. The website, at least for mobile devices, is not great. Their online booking has been broken/"coming soon" for several months now if it ever worked. I found it challenging to make an appointment with them; it seems they are catering to the Highland Park crowd, or at least people who either work off hours or have the freedom to take time off work in the middle of the day to accommodate their schedule. The person I made my appointments with (I believe it was Betty) was hesitant to even make a 4:00 PM haircut appointment with me, even though they are supposed to close at 6:00 PM. I felt she didn't care that I work normal business hours and pretty much expected me to accommodate to her salon's schedule. It's great for their business that they consider themselves so busy, but I was also the only client they had for both visits (full disclosure: there was a client who they were finishing up with the first time I visited). They do push product here; I bought a curl cream the first visit and went online to the manufacturer's website to learn more, only to find out that the salon charges $5 more for the same product. I could have ordered online from the manufacturer (they had free shipping when I checked) for less than buying from the salon in person. This I found really distasteful. After my second visit I left feeling so uncomfortable that even JoJo's bright personality couldn't overcome. I really wanted to like this salon, especially with all the great reviews, but I can't recommend this place.

Devon and Jordan are fantastic. I really only get my hair cut/colored when I'm home in Dallas or Nashville, (#trustissues) and I'm never disappointed by The Do. I brought in a picture of Kate Middleton's gorgeous hair, and Jordan went to work finding his own inspirations to work my finer, slightly shorter hair into exactly what I wanted. Not to mention Devon always finds a way to make my naturally blonde hair look even more naturally blonde. 😉 Love it!

I cannot begin to say enough amazing things about this salon. From the first step into this salon I was greeted by the staff that are so welcoming. I drove 4 hrs from out of town for my appointment with Betty. She did an outstanding balayage on my hair followed by a cut and style by Jordan. Everyone I came into contact with were so knowledgeable and honest when I asked for their opinions. I have probably been to hundreds of salons that have not met my expectations regarding my hair. This is hands down the best salon I have ever been to and is definitely worth the 4hr drive to have my hair cared for correctly! I am so happy with my hair!!!!

Moved to Texas a year ago from the northeast and needed to find a new hair salon. After some extensive research, I made an appointment at The Do Cut and Color with Devon and wasn't disappointed. The entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the latest hair trends and products. The salon is bright, trendy, and always clean. Highly recommend this salon.

OK. Do yourself a favor and go here for fabulous hair. Devon and Jordan are the dream team. I had dark brown curly hair and now I have gorgeous blonde highlighted, blow-out goodness. This place is amazing because everyone is so attentive and really takes into consideration what you want, and what your hair needs. Also, I called the day before at about 4PM and they let me come in at 7:30AM the next day because of my schedule! Amazing. Wonderful. BEST HAIR DAY EVER.

DEVIN IS THE BEST! I started going to The Do around October last year and I haven't looked back! Seriously guys, this place will go above and beyond for you! When I couldn't get booked for 4 weeks (yeah, it's popular - for good reason), they worked with me and allowed me to come in before open! Devin has cut my hair twice now and this time he did my color, which I LOVE! See photo! Literally just had a co-worker tell me how natural it looks! BINGO! Just what I had wanted! Go see Devin or at the very least make an appt here! You won't regret it! Nicest people ever!

I got my hair cut, full foil highlights and my eyebrows waxed! I love that I could get it all done in one place! everyone and I mean everyone is so nice. Jordan was even able to fix my butchered hair cut without chopping it off. I am so very pleased! Although I am a low hair maintenance type of person but still wanted color (most colorist, look at me like that’s never possible), the colorist listened and made it possible! Awesome hair and I don’t have to stay on a strict color schedule. That’s a win win in my book. I’ll definitely return! Thank you all!

My husband and I both received great haircuts, his from Jojo and mine from Jordy. Both stylists made us feel welcomed and listened to, and offered suggestions, and cut our hair beautifully with care and attention. It’s always nerve wracking to try new hair stylists, but I’m so glad we did.

This place is amazing. I looked long and far for someone who could handle my red color appropriately. Enter Betty, the owner and rock star of the salon. She absolutely nailed it, making my hair feel and look beautiful. Devon gave me a much needed trim masterfully, with a perfect blow out. I then went back a week later to see Jojo for a Brazilian Blow Out. I'll say this: it's pricey, but if you can splurge, absolutely do it. My hair is the smoothest, softest and most manageable it has EVER been in my life. She is a total pro. For the first time, I feel like I can let my hair air dry, then leave it down to leave the house! And it takes me 5 minutes to blow-dry and I can forget about my straightener. Thank you to the team at The Do for taking care of me and my hair. I'll be coming back as long as you'll have me!
