Description
The Everett House welcomes you to come and unwind. Through the doors of two classic craftsman homes, you will find a community sanctuary. Guests that come for a spa session will be able to warm up in the large salt hot tub and sauna, take a cold plunge in one of our two clawfoot tubs, enjoy an outdoor shower, and cool down on the patio around the fire. For those looking for a little more self-care, book a massage with one of our incredible massage therapists!

Relaxing and wonderful staff 💕

The facility is nice enough, comparable to the price point. The outdoor area did seem a bit smaller than expected. The two star review is due to another patron completely ruining my experience. While they do advertise a fragrance free space, it is not enforced. I was barely able to enjoy the steam room for just a few minutes before someone came in that stunk so badly of cigarette smoke that I could barely stand to breath. Imagine sitting in a wet hot steamy room with someone who smells like an ashtray. Gross. It was impossible to escape and I had to leave.

Fantastic spot to relax and unwind. I always feel better after a 90 minute soak, steam, and sauna session here

60 mins felt like 15 mins. I'm definitely coming back whenever I'm in Portland.

I got a massage here back in September. Had a gift card I had been saving for the right time to treat myself. They asked what to target and avoid, and I asked them to target my back and please please avoid my sciatica. They didn’t really do either, and near the end, they started deep tissue massaging my sciatica, which was really painful, but I assumed they knew what they were doing and were trying to help. I was in immense pain after the appointment. I told the front desk, and they said that can happen and should be better in a few days. A month later, still in the same debilitating pain. I wrote to them asking if this was normal, and all I got back was ‘put some ice on it’. I write this three months later and am still in so much pain. I can’t sleep on my left side anymore and my doctor said hopefully only time will heal. I’ll admit I should have voiced my pain from the moment they began massaging it, but I’m bummed at the lack of compassion and professionalism on the issue; strange to me that they wouldn't at least offer even a small form of compensation for what I have to deal with now, but then again they probably realized I won’t be back anyways…

I love this place. It's a gem, not many places like this exist anywhere in this universe. As a fat person, I always feel safe and comfortable, it's a full body/every body inclusive space. The staff are kind, queer friendly and diverse. They seem to love their jobs and that speaks to the culture of the spa. I cycle through a few of the massage therapists depending on my body needs, as each therapist has their individual style and most are really good. I'm not going to tell you my fave therapist, do your own research by experience. Yes, the booking system is a nightmare, but once you learn to bend it to your will, you'll feel like part of the community.

If you need any ADA accommodations I would not recommend. Getting to your massage requires 2-3 flights of stairs. Navigating throughout the home and property was very difficult. It’s a couple stairs down to the locker/changing room and then a few up to the hot tub area. The ground gets slippery when it rains. Many of the spaces indoors are a tight fit so I recommend you pack light and plan accordingly. I did appreciate that staff gave me a couple extra minutes to get dressed due to my mobility needs. The restrooms are very small both upstairs and downstairs. Entering each building also requires stairs. I loved the cold plung but just be aware that there’s nothing but the tub to help you enter and exit. So if you can’t support yourself with getting in and out maybe consider another spot.

Lovely relaxing atmosphere and amazing, friendly, almost egregiously helpful staff (like they did everything so well it puts regular service to shame). The signage and info/waiver were super informative, and the atmosphere seemed to welcome clarifying questions, but newbies are likely to be intimidated if they arent escorted by a friend/someone who has previously been. I loved the cleanliness, the cuteness, the amenities and the “gift shop” style items available. What I’d want others to be aware of: Challenging layout/ terrain for anyone with limited mobility, and tbh while no one was obvious about it, some people definitely spent a lot of time glancing in my direction. Noteably, at the time of my attendance I was one of 2 non-white patrons out of a few dozen during our time. This is neutral and doesn’t lose the place any stars, but is the kind of thing I’d want other POC to know to expect. Recommend if healthy, mobility-baked, and okay with wayward eyes in interesting looking ppl. Not recommended for ppl with limited mobility, anxiety that requires touch of others (as it isn’t allowed), or who feel unsafe in mostly white spaces.

My favorite place to go to just chill and relax. I go on Sunday mornings with myself or with friends, and Sundays are all women hours. I have my little routine now and love the dry heat sauna. Everyone is respectful and it’s very clean. I have not done the massages and don’t think I will based on reviews and I have my own massage therapist that I see regularly, but it seems like a good add on for a self care day. The online booking sucks sooooo bad…. But I also appreciate them making sure it is by appointment only and that people are fully aware of the rules so that their customers feel protected and safe.

Best Spa in Portland. Amazing staff and well maintained facilities. Love this place.

Bri took me for my birthday present. We had a great soak.

I liked the tilework of the steam room, the small not small door of the sauna with the bucket and ladle, the cool design of the showers, and the teahouse counter facade. Unique things like this keep Portland original. Definitely recommend the rest tea. Will probably go back once more at night. I bet it is lit up real cool.

What a fantastic Day. I am very relaxed. Started of with a fantastic massage from Shauna. Then spent an hour in the spa. Hot a cold plunge was exactly what I needed. An amazing spa. I wish there were more around the country like this place. Thank you for creating such a wonderful safe space.

Wonderful respite for the body and mind. Highly recommend spending a few hours soaking in the outdoor hot tub and, of course, cold plunging!

this place is good once you get inside but they need to do some SERIOUS work on their website and booking process. how many 1-star reviews about your booking being too difficult will it take for you to fix this? there are SO many pages to read through about appointments, scheduling and the different types of reservations and it’s very disorganized and hard to figure out what to do. not to mention the text is teeny tiny and light gray on a white background (not accessible). the website currently says something incomprehensible about the construction affecting services, so I tried calling to just get a clear answer on what’s available and of course no one answers and it’s a long automated message about their services. many reviews about appointments going missing and getting cancelled too. if you’re open, why not answer the phone? i just wanted to talk to someone to ask a simple question, not have to hear a whole recorded message that reiterates the pages of gobbledigook on the website. annoyed, i may be back once i figure out how to book a damn session or i may stick to the other spas in town.

Woke up today with zero energy and brain fog and this place set me up with the cure. Sauna, cold plunge, hot tub, cold plunge, sauna - and voila- I have a clear, blissed out mindset. Loved it!

Giving a 2 star for a lack of introduction beyond the waiver video online. As a first time guest i would have appreciated a run down of where stuff is etc, especially with an establishment like this where there’s predication on everyone feeling comfortable in this environment; i felt a bit lost and blind. So not a great initial experience but the establishment itself was clean, and the sauna was nice.

I enjoyed my first visit to the Everrett House today. This place is a gem, nestled in a neighborhood with a gorgeous garden! There are 2 indoor saunas, a hot tub, cold plunge tubs, indoor and outdoor showers and locker rooms. The vibe is chill and peaceful and the staff are friendly and helpful. Request: offer 2 hour sessions please 🙂

I was super nervous about going. I've never been in a nude co-ed space and I was just unsure. The video you have to watch before going made me really anxious - I'm neurodivergent and sometimes have a hard time regulating my volume and I was so concerned I would inadvertently break a rule. Fortunately, when I got there, though I had to keep my voice down, it wasn't like anyone gave you mean looks if you got a little boisterous or anything :) Very respectful, chill space. Will be returning.

Love it, magical! Homey and soothing. Making reservations is a chore but certainly worth it.

Love this place! Much too crowded in the hot tub, but the steam room is really amazing!

Relaxing and clean. The cold plunge is a perfect temperature and the salt hot tub is also very agreeable. Beautiful gardens. Friendly staff.

Classic Portland and one of the places i cherish. However, make sure you shower well with plenty of soap after the hot tub to avoid a sickly funkish odor... ie the water doesn't smell like salt sea, more like sour belly button stink. I've noticed this several times in the past, so decided to finally add it to my review. I would still highly recommend this place
