Absolutely five stars for Nikki! I started seeing her in March for hair extensions after losing a lot of hair postpartum. I cut my hair short to even it out, but I just didn’t feel like myself anymore. Nikki worked her magic and transformed my hair back to the luscious locks I once had, giving me the confidence boost I desperately needed. Her professionalism and integrity shine through in every appointment. I return every 8-10 weeks for my extensions to be moved up, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Nikki and Fiona make an amazing team; my hair, which was once thin and brittle, is now healthy and thick. Plus, my natural hair is slowly coming back beautifully. I get compliments constantly, and I've happily referred several friends to Nikki. If you’re looking for an incredible hair transformation, Nikki is the one to see!

Nikki did my hair for my sister’s wedding and it was amazing! Not only was she able to schedule me last minute, but she was patient and understanding of what I wanted, and made great suggestions on what I should do. While the hair turned out perfect and lasted over 13 hours for the event, the curls actually held up three days later. Can’t wait to come back, highly recommend!!!

Nikki SAVED my hair!!! 6 years ago I by chance walked into her salon with a hair emergency. My hair was very damaged, bleach blonde which I destroyed myself, and really thin! She managed to get me on her schedule that same day! She fully explained the procedure she was going to do (keratin bond extensions) and how they are fused to your hair but do not cause damage. Obviously the removal would entail working out FUSED BONDS, but she has always been so gentle during application AND removal! THEY WERE GORGEOUS AND SAVED MY HAIR. I’ve since been with her for all my hair needs and have been able to transform and regrow my natural thin red hair!! She has always worked with me to achieve exactly what I’m looking for, understands that I’m on a budget and always has my best interest in mind! Shes the real deal if you’re looking for a stylist in Frederick that will listen to allll of your hair concerns, has the most versatile methods of haircut/styling available and is truly an expert in it!! She’s also such a caring and compassionate hair stylist that is always putting her clients needs and wants first. I’m so happy I ever found her and I already can’t wait for my next appointment! I always leave her (absolutely adorable) salon feeling BEAUTIFUL -and she sees to that!! Thank you Nikki for being THE BEST IN FREDERICK!!

Nikki always brings the WOW when giving my hair new life! The color, cut and style are perfect! I've been coming to her for 3+ years now (my husband surprised me with a Spa Day and had Nikki already lined up, paid for and I was just told the address to go to, and I'm so glad he found her!!) She ruined my hair. I asked OVER and OVER questions about the procedure, at consultation. I have fine blonde hair. I asked would the Fusion/Keratin extension damage my hair. No. no just use the brush every day and no damage. She was referred to me. I only could keep extensions in for exactly 15 days. I could not take the pain on my neck and back of head, because of weight. TOTALLY not her fault that I was so much in pain...headaches and neck pain. She could have cared less, cold and rude. Now half of my hair is gone. Nikki got the glue out and it took alot of my hair out with the glue. And the whole time , telling me oh there is no damage, RIGHT! I was so in shocked......I was slient. I have a huge conscious and could never do this to anyone. But already getting help to restore my hair. I am having to put my hair in a low bun, until I grow some hair back. Nikki should have told/ been honest..that my fragile hair cound not take this......my first time! My finally decision, of course. I also have a business and I ALWAYS tell my clients the truth. I don't care about my pocket book .I care about my clients and my integrity. Nikki only cares about her money. She will get Karma one day, I leave that to the higher power, of course. Nikki, You should be ashamed of yourself. And she even tried to cover up the hair on the floor that was mine. And she charged me for taking the extensions out even though she messed me up.... what person does that? You are lying. I had hair all over my car seat on the way home. I went straight to my regular hair salon that I receive cut, color etc. They put a protein mask in my hair then a moisturizing mask. She showed me with a mirror the damage that was done. She did my cut 3 days, before I had service by you. She would DEFINITELY now the difference. And your response!! People please read her response, unreal. I didn't want to be mean...... don't have a mean bone in my body, by doing this review. I have almost hundred reviews and there are 4-5 stars. I am honest! But, after talking with the ladies at the salon. I took their advice and posted this review. I am just trying to help others ladies. That is ALL. If I could I would give a 0 I would. Great sympathy response, Nikki Be careful 🧐

Nikki is the first hair stylist in 30 years who actually gave me EXACTLY what I wanted for my cut and color. I don’t know how she nailed it with my weak description but she did and she’s the only stylist I’ve used since!

I wish I could give 20 stars. I came in with a haircut that I gotten somewhere else the day before. The haircut I came in with was choppy and uneven and I was so upset. Nikki came to my rescue. She was honest about what she thought would look good on my hair and what my options were for fixing my previous haircut. She is knowledgeable, kind, honest, keeps a clean space, and her prices are great. Nikki was a blessing in my time of panic. I told her that I had long hair before my haircut from the day before and she made sure to keep as much length for me as she could and helped me choose a hair style that would grow out nicely. I noticed her hair color work on her portfolio and in her studio. I would love to get color done with her next.

Nikki is an absolute joy to work with/be around! I texted her yesterday last minute to see if she had any available appointments for a haircut, she was fully booked that day but was able to get me in the next day! I went to cosmetology school so her and I were able to talk “hairdresser” so we both understood the exact goal we were going for. Definitely will be coming back for a color service next time!

I have been going to Nikki for years, ever since my disaster run in with a stylist who cut off all of my hair instead of just giving me long layers. I have followed her from Gaithersburg, to Olney, to Frederick and I won't let anyone else touch my hair to cut it. I love how she can interpret my (sometimes ridiculously vague) description of how I think I want my hair to look, and she turns my hair into something awesome. I always feel like a Rockstar after getting my hair cut and styled by Nikki. I highly recommend The Fringe. It is conveniently located, great parking, and the online booking feature rocks!

Nikki is a hidden gem of hair stylists in the state of Maryland! She took my hair from a very bad place to a style that makes me feel confident and fabulous! I get comments on my hair all the time. She is a true hair extension specialist. I wear tape extensions for a few months then I have them removed for a few months. Nikki knows exactly what to do, has helped my real hair grow and has preserved the life of my extensions. The vibe of her studio is intimate, fun and it she completely focuses on YOU! She is a sweet soul to talk to and is very accommodating she works very hard. I can be very high maintenance regarding my hair. She is a quiet force that needs to come out and receive the accolades she deserves. Just go to Nikki - she knows what she is doing. I would call her the hair extension specialist OF Frederick!

Nikki is an absolute gem!! From the start of the experience......she is inside Sola Salons - which allows for you to see your stylist in a private decked out space- it’s a great concept. But Nikki’s ability to fully execute what I’ve described or from a picture I’ve shown, has been the best part of finding her. Her pricing is so reasonable and she is just that good- my mom and sister in law now drive an hour each way to see her as well!

Nikki is extremely talented and super sweet. I have thin limp hair and it is amazing how extensions change your whole look. Nikki is patient , kind and very reasonably priced . Couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend! You won’t regret it.
