Fantastic first experience at an upscale barber shop. Great selection of drinks to have while you wait or get your haircut. Expect to pay at least 50-60 for a basic cut. Great selection of products that they will push for you to buy.

My normal barber is in Richardson & was fully booked so I decided to try this place out. Went in for a quick cut & to get my beard trimmed. I showed photos of what I normally get done and it doesn’t look anything like that. How do you see a picture of the individual & get told the length of the cut of the beard and told not to touch the top of the head & you mess that up? Let alone this is days before Christmas & having to take holiday photos. I haven’t shaven my face in 5 years & will be shaving because the beard cut was that bad. One of the worst cuts I’ve ever gotten. I would not recommend. I’d stay away.

This is the kind of place where a guy comes to not only get a hair cut, but to also relax and spend a little time on himself. I had a great hair cut with Ellie who did a meticulous job ensuring she cut it just right. Then I got up to head to the back for a shampoo, conditioner, scalp massage, and hot towels on the face with face refresher. After that, I was feeling like a whole new man! Then back to the chair for hand dip, and massage of the shoulders, hands, and neck. Guys.....you gotta take care of yourselves and take a time out every once and awhile. This is the place to do it. Book that appt and see for yourself. Then go back time and time again because you're gonna love it.

Adrienne is superb. I've had this general hairstyle (parted from the left) for 26 years and have had 5-6 regular barbers, with a smattering of 1 time visits, in that timeframe. Historically, the cut would be fine for the first week to maybe two weeks, and then by week 3 or 4, I'd start having this incredibly annoying curl that would go right over my eyes. I'd try various products that would have marginal success. After a few haircuts with my initial style, I asked Adrienne before the next appointment if there were some changes in approach that could be used to accommodate my thinning hair and not have this annoying problem. Well, it's about 4 months since she implemented her recommended changes and I have hair that cooperates now. I'm completely shocked, and that's even been when I've had to go longer than a month. I don't have to load up on a bunch of product or rework my hair as the afternoon goes. The environment is also nice and relaxing, with a lot of little touches I appreciate. I highly, highly recommend Adrienne in particular and the Gents Place more broadly. I also greatly appreciate their alignment with my values, as they're closed on Sundays.

I had an outstanding experience at The Gents Place Dallas Uptown! From the moment I walked in, Eva at the front desk made me feel welcome with her friendly and professional demeanor. The atmosphere was classy and comfortable, setting the tone for a top-notch visit. Gale did an amazing job with my haircut — it's easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Her attention to detail and skill really stood out, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I highly recommend The Gents Place for anyone looking for exceptional service and a perfect cut.

Probably the worst haircut I have ever gotten. Have gotten better cuts for $8 in a mall. What a shame and what a waste of money. Will have to find somebody to fix this travesty tomorrow.

Got a haircut with Mister, awesome guy and a great barber. First time with him and a phenomenal haircut. Lady bartending at the front desk was very nice as well.

There’s a good reason for this being my regular place to get my hair cut for several years. The services are excellent as well as the staff. It’s something I look forward to every time. I get the 7 course, which is very relaxing.

Exceptional experience all around! As soon as I checked in, I was offered a complimentary drink by the front desk attendant, didn't catch her name, super friendly. The aesthetic was a classic gentleman atmosphere. Huge points for that. Due to me waiting a bit longer than the scheduled time, they upgraded my service with no additional charge. Not only did Frederick give me a great haircut, but he greeted himself respectfully and was extremely friendly. I was then treated to the facial and shampoo/conditioner service by Danny. She killed it as well. I have no complaints and only the highest praises for this barbershop! Seriously a huge nod to the whole team. I'll certainly be returning!

My first visit, and it won't be my last. After being greeted, I was offered my choice of drink at the bar while I waited. Once seated, Adrienne gave me a consultation, and she exceeded my expectations with my hair and beard trim. Very happy to have found this shop. Updated: My second trip went just as well. Thanks, Mister for an amazing cut!!

REVISED REVIEW 05/21/2024: This review has been updated in no way relating to the the barber/stylist we've been seeing but due to the business. Unfortunately, there always seems to be issues with their online scheduling portal, alongside the front desk. At times it's a battle letting the front desk know the stylist has specifically requested 45 minutes to do his haircut - with them telling me to schedule online though the option for bald fade with 3 course is NOT available. I've experienced issues with them not wanting to make the appointment view phone. We've been coming here consistently and the online portal has not been fixed, and today to our dismay our appointment was cancelled with less than 24 hour notice. Their policy states they CHARGE YOU for less than 24 hour notice, yet they don't follow their own business practice and show the same courtesy to their customer base. Not good business practice, and definitely do not appreciate it considering this was needed before a an important out-of-state trip. Posting this review on behalf of my significant other: We've searched for sometime to replace our old barber since relocating to Dallas from Chicago and didn't find a location we were happy with till we met Gale at The Gents Place. Her attention to detail and professionalism is above and beyond. She's always timely about appointments set, and I swear the fade gets somehow better with each visit (lol). Once a hairstylist knows your hair, I notice the good ones really understand and get every colic to relax perfectly in place. We're happy we no longer have to go through the pains or stress of finding a new stylist or shop! Side note - the type of cut he gets is a fade, with the top half longer, trimmed with scissors. They also take care of your beard and shape it for you in a tasteful way. We have gone to a few other barbers, where one shaved his mustache pencil thin when asked if he wanted it cleaned-up (we asked for a clean-up, not complete reshaping), and we won't even talk about the fade because the top half that was longer and needed to be trimmed/shaped wasn't it. If you're considering this shop, I highly recommend Gale at The Gent's Place.

My experience was fair. The stylist was nice but I had the impression that she just wanted to cut as little as possible to finish me up. Felt rushed in that way. Haircut came out fine. The shampoo/conditioner in the dark experience was great though.

When I can't get ahold of my tech in the event I'm Suprising my bf. This is a problem. I don't need to speak to your scheduler. I needed to speak to the tech I chose.
