I took my granddaughter in for a pixy. I thought she had that weird look on her face because she was happy. She didntbwant to hurt the womans feelings as she burst into tears outside. The hairdresser was about one fourth as friendly as the rest if the staff. Which were awesome. A pixy? I know. Thats why a picture speaks athousand words.

This was my 1st time at the Glam Room and I will be back. They offer so many services in a really cool space. Angelica did my facial and was very knowledgeable. My text to some friends when I left, if you are looking for a place to get amazing facials 12/10 would recommend the Glam Room!

Cierra did my haircuts last year and Chandra did my haircut this weekend just depending on my time availability. Both did a great job at listening to my needs and what I wanted for my hair. Cierra did a great job styling my curls for events and normally with my straight silky hair they don’t stay, but Cierra’s styling made my curls stay over 16 hours. Chandra did a great job with scalp care for me. She also listened to my particular needs with length and hair texture/ color and came up with a great game plan before we cut my hair. I ended up doing a glaze and the previous color on my hair came out great. She made the experience super fun and I found a lot in common with her! I recommend both stylists and would be happy with an appointment with either one again!

I loved my hair stylist Maggie, who did a wonderful job. Although I didn't quite get the color I wanted on my first visit, she offered to reschedule for another day to achieve my desired color with no charge . She's an amazing woman and highly recommended.

My stylist Nelly is one of the best! Her talent never ceases to amaze me! From my very first appointment, I was blown away by her professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to making sure I left completely happy. As someone with naturally curly hair, I’ve often been nervous about cuts, color and changing from curly to a silk press but Nelly’s expertise and care has completely changed that for me. I absolutely adore her, her work, and I’m so grateful for the beautiful, relaxing space she creates each time I visit. I’ve officially been Nellified and highly recommend her @TheGlamRoomKC!

We received a call an hour and a half prior to my daughter’s appointment stating her stylist was no longer there and we would have to call back to reschedule. When we called back they could get us in at a later that afternoon with a different stylist, which we had to re-reschedule due to the ice storm. We do appreciate understanding driving in freezing rain was not possible. So we go in 2 weeks later for low lights and a cut. My daughter is trying to get rid of her highlights, which the stylist tells her the only way to correct this is with overall color. I specifically state my daughter does NOT want black hair, but the stylist reassured her it would not be black. Let’s just say her hair did turn black and I have never seen such horribly cut bangs in my life. We will have to find a different salon to correct her bangs as 2 days after the cut she was crying over how horrible her bangs were. I do understand that there are different levels of experience, but I would hope that senior level stylists would help guide younger stylists. I assume this was a younger stylist…at least I hope it was. It is SO hard to find a good stylist in KC, but we are going to have to move on.

Alison Decuir and The Glam Room are AMAZING. Alison is simply one of the best in the industry, IMO. She is very professional and an incredible listener. She truly cares about meeting your wishes, desires and goals. She is VERY thorough and has incredible attention to detail. The salon has a boutique with beautiful clothes, jewelry and shoes. It's full of energy and positivity. I honestly feel a little bit like a celebrity when I go.

Ashley is the best ! I only got a haircut this time but we spent the time to plan out our next fantasy color in February! The new space is very elegant and is a whole experience ! The two previous colors were great looking forward to my next appointment

I came to the salon a bit ago to get a balayage. Riley was the woman that helped me with my service. She was really rude during the service and it felt like it was a chore for her to do her job. I’ve never had a balayage done so I asked her some questions about it before we started. She just rolled her eyes and sounded bored when explaining the procedure to me which made me feel like I was being a burden for asking normal questions. After the service was done I wanted to buy some products and mentioned the 20% off coupon they have on their page. She annoyingly applied it to my purchase and simply had terrible customer service throughout our entire appointment. When I was walking out of the salon I heard her call me a broke b… I’m assuming because I wanted to use the coupon they have on their page. Why have a coupon on the website if it’s seemingly not ok to use it? The salon overall was cute and tidy I just had an awful experience with Riley. My hair is also kinda damaged and I have some burns on my scalp and it’s been falling out a lot in the shower days later? Super disappointed, I was really excited for my new hairdo. Wouldn’t recommend Riley, please train your staff to not be rude, unprofessional, and un experienced!

I had an appointment with Riley Rowden at The Glam Room to get a haircut & some products for my postpartum journey. I love my haircut & the products are working great! The new location was beautiful & the service from everyone was so kind. I will definitely be going back!

I rarely leave a review but if I pay for a hair cut and color, $256 might I add, I expect it to be what I asked for. I asked for barely any length cut off, an inch max, 3 or so inches was cut off. I got black dye all over, that’s already washing out 3 days after it was done, I have no layers except on one side of my head. I asked for curtain bangs… I’ve gotten curtain bangs plenty of times, no clue what she gave me but it looks awful. To top it off, $254 is outrageous for a cut and color to begin with, but to pay this amount with absolutely nothing done that I asked is even worse, I’d like to point out that online it says the est price was going to be $124…. Why over $100 more was added? No idea. She also didn’t style my hair after, when I got home, I tried all the things to make it look like the photos I showed, it isn’t possible, just a botched haircut. This is the second time that I’ve come here and spent 200-300 on a service and have been absolutely disappointed with the work that’s done. I will not be coming back and I will not recommend this place.

I would live here if I could! The space is beautiful and everyone is so friendly and kind. I normally just get an eyebrow wax from Skyler. This time I tried a dermaplane facial. She made me feel.so comfortable and told me everything as she was doing it. I am so glad i tried it. I feel lighter, brighter, and rejuvenated for the holiday season, and relaxed! If you are looking for the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one, Skyler at the Glam Room is IT. And check out the attached boutique while you are there. She is absolutely phenomenal with bringing to life any kind of fantasy colors, as well as making sure the hair style fits perfectly! I’ve gone to many hairstylists and salons in my life. Alison Decuir and The Glam Room are amazing. Alison is one of the best in the industry in my opinion. She is very professional but cares very much that she meets your needs and desires . She’s a very good listener. And is very detailed and thorough. The salon is absolutely beautiful. There’s also a boutique with beautiful clothes. The salon is vibrant and high energy. I highly recommend Alison and the salon.

[Update]: I received a phone call the very next day after posting my initial review in Oct and they said that I was incorrectly charged for my hair, snd offered to refund me the difference and a portion of the nails for instore credit within their salon services. I recently chose the Glam Room to do my nails and hair for a wedding that I was in. The space is huge, has a coffee bar that serves one complimentary drink with your visit, a large mani & pedicure space, large space for hair needs, a boutique, and even a spa. The staff are incredibly nice and the space looks and feels very upscale. You are even given access to the secure parking lot to park in for your appointment. I don't often get my nails done, but expected that for a higher price at a fancier place, that the quality would be really great. For $80 spent on a gel dip mani with paraffin wax soak, the end result was not what I had expected for the price. There are several air bubbles and bumps in the nail polish. I feel like I could have paid half as much for the same result, or even done them on my own for the same result. It was disappointing. My hair, while I mentioned that I wanted something simple, was just a curl. I could have had one of the other bridesmaids curl my hair if that's all I was going to do, and save another $80. They were very nice, but I definitely felt that I paid a luxe price for a standard result.

i went to the glam room a few weeks ago for my second time this year. both times i did not receive the cut i wanted at all, i will admit i should have mentioned something after she was finished but im a very shy and not confrontational person. the salon is extremely nice, the staff are very sweet which made me feel bad but i haven’t ever received a cut that i was asking for. i asked for layers and left the salon with my hair all at the same length. i would recommend if you are looking for a haircut with lots of layers and bangs (or an alternative hairstyle) like myself this is not the salon for you!

Beautiful new space! The the staff here is great! I was greeted by a lovely human and shown around the classy Boutique, spa and salon, had a meaningful conversation and a mocktail made for me by the lovely person working at the Cafe/bar area, and got to have a fun conversation really great haircut from my stylist Thomas! ( I apologize that I cannot remember the two lovely humans names, but they were truly lovely!) Thomas my stylist listened to what I wanted and we worked together to create something that makes me feel light and happy! He did a really great job! The boutique has some really pretty clothes and other items that are fairly priced as well! This spot is definitely worth stopping by and checking out and doing a little shopping for the holidays! Highly recommended !

I had an incredible experience during my facial! Angelica was so sweet and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. She was highly knowledgeable, explaining each step of the process and answering all my questions with patience and expertise. The service itself was absolutely amazing—my skin has never felt so refreshed and glowing.Her massage skills are outstanding, I felt so relaxed! I can’t recommend Angelica enough and will definitely be returning!

I’m giving 3 stars because the salon is very nice and the experience is great however, I have been to 3 stylist and each time my hair is left frizzy, communication overall is lacking and I don’t feel their consultations is up to par.

I’m so sorry.. I wish I had a good review.. the 1 star is for the free wine.. which now makes complete sense. I’m honestly shocked. I didn’t think much about her not showing me the back of my hair at the time (I know I should have said something) … Well. I just looked at the back of my hair. Basically if you don’t have anything good to say then don’t say it. I am past speechless. I’m too embarrassed to even post a photo or video. The “layers” aren’t layers. They are stairs. I do take accountability for trusting her. This is my karma for choosing availability over quality/consistency. Fooled me twice glam room. Embarrassing. If you want free wine and a terrible haircut.. this is exactly where you want to go. update: my childhood hairdresser fixed it. he was shocked and confused how bad it was bless his heart.
