I’ve been in the area now for 3 years and I’ve finally found someone I can keep coming back to. It’s so challenging to find consistency but that is what you get here. He takes pride in his work and his years of experience/expertise are evident in his technique. I have multiple cowlicks and a lot of barbers/stylists struggle with my hair. That hasn’t been an issue for Marcelo, and in fact, I’ve gotten compliments after every haircut. He’s also very friendly, which I appreciate. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The HAIResidence for men’s cuts!

After losing my stylist 2 and a half years ago and doing some Google research I found The HairResidence. I was so nervous as anyone would be. Upon arrival Marcelo was so Welcoming. He was professional yet gave me the feeling we had been old friends He does beautiful work He asks questions as to what your thoughts are and what you would like Being He is the professional I suggested he do what he thought best . What a GREAT experience today was and I can guarantee The HairResidence is NOW my hair STOP. Thank you Marcelo for the hi-lights and cut Seriously LOVE it ALL! YOU are truly APPRECIATED

I am downgrading my initial review from a five-star review to one star. Here is why. Initially he did a good job covering the grays. Unfortunately, when I returned a month later he gave me unflattering highlights in a color that did not match my complexion at all and he really fried my hair. It is several months later, and I am still dealing with damaged hair. He should have waited another month or so before he did highlights. I am sure like most people he will not take responsibility for his shoddy workmanship and will refute what I am saying. I have learned over time pay attention to the negative reviews not all the gushing glowy ones. Because it's the negative reviews that usually tell the truth that the person screwed up. Also, and all my years of getting my hair done I never had a person fill my ears with black dye that I was cleaning out several days later. A rookie mistake. Does he have a nice personality in the beginning? Yes. But he fried my hair and I would never go back to him.

I have been coming to Hairesidence for 5 years for color and cut. Marcelo always still asks me "what are you wanting to do today". And he always explains what and why he is doing something. I get the most wonderful compliments on my hair especially over the past 5 years. I always recommend Marcelo to others. And, to top it off, he's definitely sexy!

Marcelo is a gem here in the triangle. I have gone to so many hairdressers that cannot get it right whether it be the cut or the color. I'm very particular too bc my hair is super dense and wavy but, he is very genuine and meticulous. I would say he's probably the best hairdresser I've gone to. He was able to create the blonde color I've wanted since moving to NC and cut my hair like no one has before, which I'm in love with. Also his place has a great ambiance!

Marcelo has been my hair savior for about two years now. I don't trust anyone else to go near my hair! At this point, both my mom and sister are also loyal customers. I have naturally 3a-b curls and it has been really hard to find someone who knows how to cut them well. Any time I go to his shop, I come out feeling confident and proud of my hair. I'm not overly easy to please when it comes to a haircut; but, Marcelo has consistently given cuts and styles that work for me. His studio is pleasant and he puts his client at ease with an unhurried approach to client satisfaction. Marcelo is absolutely awesome! When my stylist moved away, it took me a while to find someone who got me and my hair. He nailed it on the first visit where it took other stylists months of trying! Marcelo was recommended to me afterI moved here last fall and had a bad experience with another stylist. Not only did Marcelo fix my hair he has consistently cut and colored it for a year. When his was shut down due to Covid you would not have known I needed a haircut. It grew out beautifully. He really knows what he is doing. Both me and my husband love going to him.
