I was calling around from Riverside to downtown Los Angeles since 10 AM this morning looking for someone to blow out my hair for a photo shoot that I have scheduled today. My original hairstylist canceled me because I requested a later time since I’m squeezing in all my maintenance today. No one answered the phone except for this amazing establishment, whose kind and caring receptionist booked me an appointment in a short window of time and was enthusiastic for my blowout for my photo shoot today! I find that in this industry professionalism and punctuality is hard to find, but I know that I’m in good hands with this business because they were able to service me when no one else could. 5 stars before I even sit in their chair!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Incredible experience! The vibes are amazing. Stef is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to different types of hair and how to make them shine! I’d been searching for a good way to style my hair for so long, and left feeling super confident! Like clockwork, I’ve been back every two months ever since! Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

I have been coming to Stef for about two years and she has been the absolute best!! I'm a brunette and have struggled so much with finding someone good at highlights, but Stef effortlessly paints them on, leaving my hair looking blended, healthy, and beautiful!! I’m so happy I found Stef at The Hideout Salon! She’s quick, has reasonable prices, and always does an amazing job. Plus, her dog Carl “assists” her while she works, which makes the experience even better. The other stylists seem really talented too, judging by their clients’ results. The salon itself is spacious, super clean, and has such a cool vibe. SO happy i found this salon and Stef.

Love love love this salon! Truly a hidden gem in DTLA ❤️ the staff are always so welcoming & kind, the salon space is super spacious modern clean and a cute vibe, and the owners are some of the most down to earth and genuine people. They partner with local women owned businesses which I love. I’m usually leaving with a new product every time 😂 Angela always listens to what I want and will make sure I’m walking away loving my hair. I moved away from downtown and still will drive all the way to get my hair done here!!

Stef Cuesta is the Queen of Color! She is the only person I’ve ever let color my hair and she exceeds my hopes, dreams and expectations ever. single. time. No one does a better natural blonde balayage than Stef. Bonus points for the rad, historical salon space and shout out to Carl, the best salon dog in the world!

Hideout is great and Jacqueline is incredible for color. I used to go to one of the top salons in New York City before moving to the west coast. Jacqueline is better. Couldn’t recommend her enough for “natural” blonde.

Jacqueline is a magician - I have been seeing her for 5+ years and would never go to anyone else for my color - and I've never received so many compliments on my hair. Cherry on top - she has become a dear friend. Could not recommend her or Hideout more.

Absolutely LOVE the Hideout Salon and Stef Cuesta... really the only human on Earth I'll trust with my hair. Years ago I was losing a lot of hair from stress, but totally unaware of it because of my stress blinders. As my regular stylist, Stef recognized the problem and recommended some great supplements to help me get my hair back in shape... and let me tell you, it's never looked better! I get compliments all the time! From coloring to styling, Stef is the absolute best. And her salon is top notch! Easy booking, great staff, and a great little restaurant across the street to grab some spicy margaritas after, with your fresh cut. If you're looking for a new place to get your done, do yourself a favor and book The Hideout!
