As a woman with coarse curly hair, finding a stylist who does a good job, that I trust and is affordable is tough. So, I am so glad I went to this salon!!! I had an appointment with Kiko and she did an AMAZING job on my hair. She listened to my vision and completely transformed my hair!!!! Kiko is the best!

Gabbi is incredible! She completely delivered on what I was asking for, could not be happier with my outcome. The cut took an hour, was a reasonable price and she styled it beautifully.

Kat, gave me one of the most relaxing and easy going appointment I could ask for! I’m super low maintenance, even from a person coming from the beauty industry myself. Sometimes it’s hard to make decisions for yourself. She took the time to sit and discuss my wants/needs for my hair and completely understood that although I LOVE to get my hair done, I’m not the best at making time for it. I didn’t feel one bit of judgement from her if anything I got sincere feedback and what that might look like for me as my hair grows. She pulled up inspo pictures so we could both be on the same page of what the end results could look like. 10/10 recommend. There were moments where I grew silent because I was on my phone editing content or just doom scrolling and not once did I feel awkward or the need to “entertain”. My final result was just *chef’s kiss*, I just know this will grow out exactly how my lifestyle is, low maintenance and lived in. Not to mention, the haircut! She took what I wanted just from my words and made a miracle! I’m playing around with my natural texture and she gave me the best razor cut I could imagine. Thank you Kat! 🙌

I can’t express how grateful I am to have found Gabbi! I’ve been neglecting my hair for far too long, which really took a toll on my confidence. By some miracle, I discovered Gabbi on Instagram, and she has completely transformed the way I feel about myself. In the past, other stylists have either talked me out of the cuts I wanted or delivered something I didnt ask for. But Gabbi was different—she listened, understood, and absolutely nailed it. She gave me exactly what I wanted, and my confidence has soared as a result. I can’t tell you how many compliments I get on my hair now—it’s constant! Beyond her talent, Gabbi is so much fun to talk to. She makes the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. Thank you, Gabbi, for your amazing work! You’ve gained a lifelong client.

Love the vibe here. It’s a very welcoming place with amazing ambiance. I highly recommend Hannah Faulkner. She did an amazing job with my hair. She is very attentive, highly skilled and fun to talk to. I would definitely see her again.

Scalp facial with Cathy: she was professional, knowledgeable, and an all around delight. I’m 3 months postpartum experiencing hair loss and have always had scalp issues before pregnancy. I appreciated the education in the beginning when she went through my scalp with the scope and explained what we were seeing and recommendations to fix it going forward. The spa treatment was relaxing but my neck did get sore near the end. All in all, I had a great experience and loved how my scalp felt afterwards. Only recommendation I have is if there was a way to get notes on the hair and scalp care she recommended I do. There’s a lot that gets talked about and I can’t remember all the recommendations. Maybe a final write up or something to be able to look back on.

I had the best experience here! The whole atmosphere was so calming and welcoming. I specifically had Al do my hair for a scalp facial. She was absolutely amazing. I am a really shy person, and she went out of her way to make me comfortable and to talk me through all of the steps so I felt better. The service was AMAZING, she was so kind and it was the absolute best experience!! I will definitely be back to see her, and I highly recommend her!!

Scalp facial - Mixed review. Months ago I booked this $150 scalp facial based on the expectation from the treatment description/video that the experience would be an hour and a half of relaxation. However, the first 30+ minutes were spent talking about my scalp and general scalp treatment education, followed by scalp exfoliation and then an approximately 25 min “hair facial” . This “facial” consisted of a hair wash with a very light touch massage (this prob varies based on stylist) and the water shower/sprayer (also with very light pressure) which was not really anything to write home about and basically sprinkled all over my face (no biggie, I knew I would be around water but wasn’t exactly the definition of relaxing). Finally, we went back to the chair and more education around products was discussed. While the information gathered will be useful, and hopefully helpful, I didn’t expect to pay that price and only receive a 25 minute massage. Personally, I would much rather spend that kind of money and head to the Umstead or any other luxury massage parlor. Regardless, if you’re looking for full relaxation-do not recommend. IF you need help with scalp issues - do it.

Inviting atmosphere, great values! If you're looking for a home salon with courteous and knowledgable artists, this salon is a perfect choice! Katherine cut my hair (A big chop!). She really made me feel comfortable and I knew I was in great hands. I haven't walked out of a salon feeling so excited and confident in such a long time. 10/10

The salon vibes get a 5!!!! Only two stars because I came here after about 2 years of not cutting my hair, showed up to my appointment and did not get what I asked for. The person cutting my hair was sweet and fun to talk to and initially seemed confident in cutting my hair but towards the end didn’t seem so. I have very long hair past my butt, I asked this person for a 6 inch trim (which they did fine) and a bunch of layers long and short; I even brought a couple of inspiration photos. They ended by styling my hair to somewhat look like a photo I brought. The next day when I washed my hair I looked in the mirror and noticed there was very little layers about 3 inches from the bottom of my hair. It just looked like I paid $150 for a trim and I was immediately disappointed.

Caroline McCoy is THE best. Before I met Caroline I was never comfortable wearing my hair in its natural curly texture. Caroline gave me the most incredible haircut (and continues to do so) and now I LOVE my natural curls and feel confidence that I’ve never felt before. Not only is she an insanely talented stylist, she’s a wonderful human! Thank you Caroline.

I had scalp spa at Drft salon. Alexandra was so good. The scalp massage paired with hand massage and various other procedures felt so nice and relaxing that after coming out of the massage room, I wasn’t sure if I’ll be able to walk :) huge shoutout to her for being so diligent and hardworking. I also enjoyed our conversations. It was such a delight to be with her.

I admit, I’m easily influenced! When I saw the viral IG reel advertising DRFT Salons scalp facials, I knew immediately that I had to book one. Luckily for me, a spot became available relatively quickly after joining the waitlist. Al preformed my service. She’s a gem! So kind and nurturing - she kept me informed every step of the process and provided such a relaxing environment at the shampoo bowl that it really felt like I was at a spa rather than a salon. I left feeling totally rejuvenated. This service is worth every penny and the results are immediate. Can’t wait for my next one!

I had a scalp facial with Maggie. The salon is gorgeous, modern and tranquil. Maggie was so knowledgeable and easy to talk too. I bought all of the products she recommended for my hair and have seen a difference. Scalp facials are amazing and I recommend Maggie if you are tired of oily looking, non manageable hair!! 5 stars!

Al Hitchon is literally the best person I could’ve seen. I got a scalp facial and my head has never felt so clean. The whole time she was so sweet and gave me the coziest blanket while I was at the shampoo bowl. She’s got a true talent for hair and you can tell. I highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a new stylist 🩷

I had such an amazing experience with Katherine at High Tide Salon. First of all, the ambience and atmosphere in the salon itself is so welcoming and luxurious. Katherine herself was fun to talk to and get to know. She really took her time listening to what I wanted and making sure we were on the same page with the style of the cut I was asking for. My hair turned out amazing and it felt so healthy I loved all the products she used and the shampoo and conditioner she recommended to me have been working perfectly for me I love them so much. I can’t wait for my next appointment!

I had the most amazing time ever at this salon! My stylist, Fern, made me feel incredibly welcome and above all, so very comfortable to be myself. The entirety of the salon is so vibey and has such a wonderful ambiance. It has been so long since I was able to treat myself to something like this and Fern did not disappoint. They were absolutely wonderful and I will be coming back!

I love this place. It's so convenient to be able to do everything online. I've been to places that require an in-person consultation and it seems like such a waste of time. My stylist was able to consult over some pictures and her online survey/form. I'm extremely happy with my hair, the highlights are blended in with the rest of my hair so well. I will only go here from now on. Highly recommend this place, specifically Kat.

I really wanted to like this salon because of their accepting culture and high rating- unfortunately every time I would arrive for an appointment my stylist forgot we had an appt and was not at the salon or took a half hour to realize I was in the waiting area (despite checking in on the self service kiosk). Additionally the last time I came in my stylist charged me almost double for the same service I normally get without any warning. When I showed hesitation they said “it helps me pay my rent”. Not sure what that was about but I didn’t argue and paid the increased amount? Finally my stylist also cancelled my most recent appointment last minute. When I reached out to reschedule they never replied. In summary I accidentally spent $550 for inconsistent service with a stylist who won’t text me back :/

rowan is actually the best ever!!! they are super sweet and she styles my hair exactly how i ask for it. my hair has truly never looked so good :D high tide is also super pretty, clean, and overall the environment is just a wonderful place. i would recommend high tide salon to anyone and book with rowan!!
