I had one of my best cuts ever from Brad at the Iki movement, they were a phenomenal stylist! The coloring came out perfect and I enjoyed the entire hair painting experience provided at Iki. I will definitely be returning!

Unlike any other salon I’ve been to, in the best way. The shoulder/neck/head massage, aromatherapy, luxurious hair wash, eyebrow waxing—all included!—really made it an experience. They use the best products, Davines, which smell and feel so great. I’ve never left a salon feeling so pampered. Ashton executed my haircut perfectly, exactly as I had imagined. She’s the first hairstylist to work with my natural texture through the cut and styling. I normally dread having to get my hair cut, but for the first time, I can’t wait to go back!

First time here but zillionth+ time with Brad Love. I'll move anywhere Brad goes - including if they're cutting hair on a street corner. FORTUNATELY, I didn't have to test this theory because iki movement is spectacular. It has an amazing vibe of airy comfort and joy. I met another stylist there, Anna, who gave me a giant hug which made me feel incredibly welcome. I'm 50+ years old and have never had an overall sensory and pampering experience like this while having my hair styled/cut. Over the years, Brad has had to slowly convince me to get my hair cut more often. "You're too accomplished not to look your best all the time!" They are right of course, but these extra pampering perks at iki make me all the more excited to return SOONER rather than later. Thank you Brad, Ana, and everyone at IKI!

I had an excellent experience with Ashton. I certainly did feel pampered, and left with very satisfied with my hair! This whole place gives very peaceful and relaxing vibes, like chic zen. I've never seen anything like it. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

I was a little bit intimidated by going to a new place, but the [iki] movement is so welcoming and beautiful. The scent that hit me when I first walked in made me wonder how I could get my house to smell like that all the time. I booked with Brad Love, who has been a stylist I've known forever. They are an absolute goddess with color, and they're always helping me experiment. It helps me feel relevant, stylish and still vibrant, which is extremely essential for someone who is trying to age with grace like I am. Brad is also a bona fide comic book, nerd culture, and video game freak, so I love getting to talk about all my favorite genres and hobbies. We do the normal gabbing about social lives and house decor, but I really enjoy being able to be myself and chat about the stuff I really love. In addition, I love the products they carry. My skin is very sensitive and prone to getting upset about the smallest things. Some dyes make me break out and itch for weeks. I've had absolute no problems since my last appointment which was 2 days ago, and my hair is not streaking my pillowcase or my couch. Last but not least, [iki] movement is a tip-free environment. I can't even tell you how much of a stress relief this is for me. I love Brad. I want to tip him as much as they deserve, but they're also a high end stylist which means Brad is not cheap. (They ARE fairly priced.) Thus, every time I'm asked to tip, I panic about whether or not I'm showing enough appreciation or not. [iki] Movement removed this step by simply paying their stylists well enough that they can do away with tipping. Also, clients pay for the total amount of time spent on them. I get pampered and prettied up for however much time I want to book. (I ask in advance if I want specific things done.) Waxing and general grooming was included in my time, which I did not expect. What a wonderful surprise! It was also painless and expertly done. I had very little redness. I can't recommend [iki] Movement enough, and seriously, ask for Brad if you want color or anything else. If they can't do it or knows someone who is better at a service, they'll recommend that person instead. This place is top notch with S+ service!

It took me forever to write this review because I wanted to make sure it was love and not lust (and I forgot). The verdict is in, I LOVE the [iki] movement! These ladies are amazing to say the least. I have had so many haircuts I hated or loved in the moment but was never able to replicate the style once I left and was so defeated as a new momma (hello postpartum baby horns). They embraced my natural wave and taught me how to style it! It's not just a look you leave with but one you can actually replicate day after day after day! They're sweet, funny, and REAL. And all of their products smell like absolute heaven; I'm not sure how it's possible but it's true. This innovative approach to hair is second to none. They even cut my hair so I could middle part to keep up with gen z or side part when my millennial heart needs it. 10/10. Visit [iki] or forever have sad hair.

Love this inclusive and environmentally conscious salon - everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The decor is super cool and comfortable and the pampering is top notch - they even have lay down shampoo stations. Now that my favorite stylist Brad Love has joined the team, I’ll be a regular at the [iki] movement. I wouldn’t trust my hair to anyone else.

The vibe is EVERYTHING! Super relaxing and I was pampered like a princess. Brad absolutely slayed my color. The rich brown and mahogany color he did is by far my favorite I’ve ever had on my hair. I left feeling refreshed and beautiful. 10 outta 10!

If you’re looking for a salon that understands the assignment-this is your place. Brad and Anna were a dream. I walked in with a terrible haircut and a worse color correction from another salon. Brad and Anna knew from viewing my skin tone and eye color the perfect chocolate brown! A facial assessment was done for the perfect haircut to accentuate facial structure. I’m hooked. This place is amazing! From the moment you take a seat you are experiencing total pampering. The head massage is fabulous; the weighted blanked while having your hair washed is a bonus I wasn’t expecting. The waxing included with your service was a surprise. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants the best experience, the best color and the best haircut!!!

This place is amazing. The “staff” are kind, funny humans who enjoy each other and enjoy helping folks feel confident and valued. The environment is beautiful and relaxing. There is nothing stuffy or uptight about this place and that’s one of my favorite things about it. If you’re looking for a truly comfortable, relaxing, treat-yo’self, tailor-made salon experience, this is the place to find it. I can’t recommend them enough, and I can’t see myself going anywhere else.

If I could give this place ten stars I would! Every single expectation of mine was met (and beyond). I was fortunate to have Anna, the owner, take care of me for the first visit. I was scheduled for just a trim but the way their services are set up I also received a neck, shoulder, and scalp massage. I got a deep conditioner treatment. My eyebrows were waxed and shaped. I could go on and on about how wonderful this experience was. I highly recommend this salon, I’ll never go anywhere else in the area!!

The Iki Movement was one of the best hair shop/ salon experiences I have had. The haircut was executed perfectly, and the stylist, Ashton, truly listened and asked important questions. This shop's ethics and inclusive philosophy are a refreshing example of a modern business, let alone a salon. Ashton took her time to walk me through essential styling techniques and products. Honestly the most wonderful place with so many talented, super nice people. From the plant room to the massage services to the sustainable supplies area, I felt like everything was beautifully and thoughtfully considered to be relaxing, lovely, and community-driven. Honestly, I want to go back immediately, it was that nice. Everyone was so friendly and charming, and my stylist Megan was especially amazing! I left feeling totally refreshed, happier, having had a great conversation, and feeling truly pretty with my new haircut and eyebrow wax. It feels like a place that offers big city talent and inclusiveness, with small city kindness and charm.

I’m blown away by my experience here!! First of all, the space is gorgeous, open & airy so it felt peaceful & calming. Anna was so kind and really listened to me and understood me and my hair. It can be nerve-racking going to a new stylist but she really took the time to figure out what would work best with my hair AND showed me a new way to style it. I left feeling completely pampered. I like how they charge based on time, rather than charge for a bunch of add-ons. I got a wonderful cut, style, and color, but I also got an eyebrow trim & wax, and an amazing neck massage! I can’t wait to go back.

Newly transplanted to Lexington and I'm happy to have found my new salon "home"! I've visited the [ iki ] movement three times now: twice for haircuts and recently for an eyebrow tint. Each team member I've interacted with has been warm, kind, and personable. There's a welcoming, friendly feeling every time I'm there! Tomme jumped right in today and given me a hand/forearm massage while I was getting my eyebrows touched up; they are so sweet! I've been really pleased with my haircuts (Megan's super easy to work with and talented) so I'll definitely be returning. Would recommend this place if you want that human connection fuzzy feeling :)

I visited Iki for the first time a few days ago and had a wonderful experience. Megan took the time to listen and also asked questions so they could provide the best haircut possible. And it is indeed THE BEST haircut I've ever received. I typically ask for my fine, curly hair to be styled straight, but I wanted to see how Megan would style it curly. They took such care with styling it, and I absolutely loved the result. They gave recommendations on home styling for my curls as well. Also get ready to enter another plane of existence between the insanely comfortable shampoo chairs and the scalp/neck massage. The whole vibe of the salon is positive, inclusive, relaxing, and just super fun. I had a great time chatting with both Megan and Anna. If you have trouble finding it, just call and they will guide you where you need to go.

Positives If you haven't been, at least check out their website. Unlike other salons, they have a clearer price system. I can see that some people would prefer that the tips are not charged separately. They also offer complimentary eyebrow waxing (it's a free service, so don't expect too much). The owner, Anna knows Asian hair. If you're an Asian looking for a decent haircut, I would recommend Anna. The shop also uses Davines products. Negatives Had a positive experience during my first visit (hair cut with Anna) a few months back, so went back for hair color (Megan). Using a box color at home would have turned out better. Megan couldn't even make decent bangs. It showed that she didn't have experience with black hair. Even after finding out that the heater stopped working after 3 minutes (out of 30 minute processing time), she didn't bother to take any additional action (my hair needed a lot of lightening/color lifting). I can say this was the WORST haircut/color I have had in my life.

There's no hair salon quite like these guys. It wasn't just a haircut, it was an EXPERIENCE, and every part of it was wonderful. They're so welcoming and inclusive, completely judgement free. I got my hair done by Ashton, she was able to color match my hair perfectly, and the cut is exactly what I wanted, plus she's so sweet and attentive. On top of all that, the pricing is great for everything they include! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try ❤
