I had the most disappointing haircut experience with Iris. She was on a very fast pace and when I showed up she was still finishing with her previous client. She then took me straight to wash my hair and when I tried to consult with her about what I wanted, she could only give me about 15 seconds of her time. I told her I wanted to keep the length and add long layers. However, I got a very choppy uneven haircut. It’s impacted my confidence negatively. The haircut quality does not reflect ‘18 years experience.’ I would NOT recommend.

Once again Iris at The Ivy has exceeded my expectations. I admire her patience and tenacity. Her passion, artistry, active listening, and drive allows her to provide the best customer service I have experienced. Went and saw Lorena for a hair cut and she gave me pricing for color but I told her I wasn’t ready to book yet. I had asked her to blend the bottom a little bit more before a left and she seemed happy to do it. My cut seemed fine. I didn’t like that she cut my hair dry but oh well. A couple weeks later I text and asked her if she had openings in the next 2 weeks for the color I requested. She said she did and asked me for photos. Once I sent the photos she didn’t respond to me. I texted again that night because I figured maybe she was working and busy that day. Still no response. I messaged her on instagram because I saw she posted on her story. She blocked me after I messaged her. This rating is honestly because it’s rude and seems entitled to just block me for no reason. She could have easily just refused service instead of leading me on to think I would get an appointment within the 2 weeks I requested. I could have found a different stylist in the time I wasted waiting to hear from her. Found a different stylist and they showed me how my cut from Lorena was not even and there was a 2” difference in the length of my hair from her “blending” or whatever. She also didn’t give me the layers she swore she had. My hair had been feeling heavy on one side when I would part it, and now I understand why. Wouldn’t recommend.

First time at the Ivy Salon, but I always go with my stylist, Melissa. She let me know that she works there. Always does an amazing job on my hair. The place is beautiful, clean and sanitized. I highly recommend. I always leave happy after she works her magic.

I have never enjoyed going to a hairstylist more than going to Ivy. I feel completely comfortable with how they are taking precautions to insure everyone’s safety, but I also enjoy the conversations and laughter. During the shut down you can not imagine how gray I was, but she worked me in as soon as she was able to and took care of me and my daughter. Thank you Ivy for the many years of great hair, great color, cuts and most of all you kind demeanor. I am so thrilled to have found you and “The Ivy”You are a true pleasure and an absolutely Gem.

Its a nice place but they dont respect the appointment time . We waited for more than 30 minutes and no one had the courtesy to explain the delay. It's sad because we heard so many good thing about that place

I’m sure everyones opinion of the salon will depend on their experience with their hair stylist. Arelyn Chavez is fabulous with color. Arelyn is the first hair stylist I’ve been to that I can show a picture to and she matches it perfectly. The salon has a great atmosphere with nice decoration. Love the hair products the salon carries and the color last forever when taken care of properly.

Absolutely love this place! Not only is the salon so chic and cozy, but very clean! Plus all the staff are very friendly. I get my nails done with Lin and from day one she’s been professional and does such a good job. She provides good advice for healthy nail growth and I can’t stress enough how good my nails finally look! I’m always getting compliments on my nails :) would highly recommend!

First time getting a haircut here. I scheduled an appointment with Brenda. She was waiting at the front counter and greeted me. Throughout the whole process she was very courteous, polite and easy to talk to. She guided me through the whole process of what she planned on doing. I got a shampoo, cut and style package. All I wanted was a trim and bangs. She did an awesome job. Will definitely be back!

I love this salon! It’s chic and modern while still feeling warm and inviting. Everyone there is always friendly and courteous. I follow my hair stylist wherever she goes, and she seems happier here than anywhere she’s ever been. To a client, that speaks volumes.

Iris is amazing!! She has done my hair for several years and I even travel from San Antonio where I live to get my hair done by her. I recommend her for balayage and highlights and especially haircuts! She is patient and knows how to deliver what you want. People constantly compliment on my hair color.

Love love this place, everyone us always so happy and wonderful, our talks are always the best and make you feel at home. I get my hair done with Jesse and hes just amazing, all the girls are really, they all have their own styles. I also get my nails done with Lin and shes such a brights and wonderful person. I just love them all!!! Highly recommend.

My experience was a roller coaster. I attended the salon about 5 times. The first time I visited, the nail tech “Lin” was working on a client, therefore I waited almost 25-30 minutes. The following times, she took 10+ minutes to open the gate. As a first time client, $15 was a great deal. The rest of my visits were not so pleasant. The gel only lasts about 2 weeks (if that). I asked for a few designs and that took longer than usual, in addition she didn’t have a variety of supply. I’ve had a few cracks and lifts, I had to contact her more than twice. The first time I let her know about the lift, she fixed right away. Afterwards, I had to contact her more than twice. My final visit was when I had enough. The whole process took close to 2 hours. Within 2 days, the gel was lifting. As before, I asked for them to be fixed twice. I understood she was busy and had to manage her schedule, but I have a job as well. Which she was aware of, yet still asking me if I could go in within the hours I was at work. Lastly, I asked for a refund.

This Salon is Super chic! My hairstylist Iris does exactly what I ask for, from going platinum to going dark in the winter! She is well experienced and followers up with new techniques from hair shows she attends! Definitely worth making my trip from Las Cruces to see her! Book Your appointment with her you’ll be very Happy with the Final Product!
