Krystal is an artist. Love having her for my hair stylist. The feel of the salon is so relaxing Her haircuts and color technique is amazing. Not only does she do hair but the relaxation from the sound baths is on a whole other level.

I desperately needed a change, my hair stylist moved away, and I was digitally searching for a new salon. The stars aligned and I completely lucked out by getting an appointment after last minute cancelation. Krystal and the Key Salon are a breath of fresh air. I received a huge chop - that looked great - in a beautifully curated salon. It feels like a posh, warm hug. I'm so lucky to have found this place and I look forward to each new cut <3

I have seen Krystal for the Pure Lux straightening treatment and have loved it! 4 months in and its still on point! I also have been using her hair products and have noticed a huge difference in my hair! (Texture, Shine, Growth, and honestly hardly any shedding at all anymore). I would highly recommend her for any hair service because she is Top Notch in my book! Keep it up Girl! You are on 🔥

This was my first visit with Krystal at her salon. I used to go to her when she was at AOC. Her salon atmosphere is a breath of fresh air compared to loud and busy salons. It was so fun to catch up with an old friend and get a beautiful haircut. Already have the next visit scheduled and can't wait to see the new salon that is well deserved to a beautiful and hardworking person.

Cannot say enough good things about Krystal and her work. She has a wonderful warm personality coupled with an amazing talent for hair and customer service. Not only did I feel like I could trust her, her place puts you at ease and you feel like you are in a spa at times. She’s so thoughtful and detail oriented along with being knowledgeable as she’s a master her art and the science. I’ve referred many people to her and all had great experiences too. I had the best time at the key salon!❤️ I’m so glad I found Krystal because she is seriously a gem! 💎 she was very welcoming & kind, and not to mention SUPER easy to talk to!!! I'm new to the area and I have been looking for a hair salon for a while. I chose to try the Key Salon because there are SO many great reviews, and it did not disappoint!! Krystal is so warm and welcoming, it was truly a pleasure to meet her! I needed my hair trimmed because it's honestly been too long and she really made it an entire experience while giving me tips and suggestions along the way. It is so obvious she loves what she does and she is amazing at it! Very excited to go back!

Krystal at The Key Salon is top notch!! Not only do I love my new cut and color but the new product line is fantastic! I purchased the colour cleanse and conditioner and the smell of my hair after using these products has me hooked!! The fact they make my hair feel good and I don't have to wash it as often is a bonus:) On my last visit I picked up the 3D Root Lift and Illuminating Volume Foam and I am equally satisfied with the scent, quality and performance of these products! Krystal, you nailed it!! Looking forward to my next visit:)

I absolutely cannot say enough lovely things about Krystal! She is so talented and knowledgeable at her job. I was able to send her pictures beforehand of the cut I wanted so she was already familiar with the"vision". I have long, thick hair that I wanted to take several inches off of and she just worked her magic! I am so happy with my new haircut! Her salon is clean and quiet, so refreshing from the usual crowded, loud salons I've gone to in the past. Krystal has a way of making you feel like you're old friends just catching up. She has her own line of products that I'm excited to try (vegan and cruelty free). I also appreciate that she wasn't pushy trying to sell products JUST to sell products, she really listened to what I wanted to achieve with my hair and recommend what she thought would be a good fit. I don't trust a lot of people to do my hair but I 100% trust Krystal. Book an appointment, you will not regret it!

I have been going to Krystal for about 3 years and followed her to The Key Salon from her previous salon. I've never gotten better cuts or color than I do from her. She is great with curly hair. I just moved to Virginia and was so nervous to find a new salon. The Key Salon was AMAZING! Krystal is the sweetest human alive! She made me feel sooo comfortable from our first message. She listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly that! Her salon is adorable; It’s so cute, so cozy and so clean! Krystal met me outside, walked me in, made me a delicious latte and pampered me for hours (including turning the lights off so i could relax while she waited for my color to lift!) . I am obsessed with her and my hair and can’t wait to go back! 🥰

Not only is Krystal is incredibly talented, she’s kind, a true professional, and pays attention to every detail of the experience. And it is an experience! OMG I loved my first haircut with Krystal so much! I usually go into haircuts so nervous and not knowing what I want done with my hair, but she made the environment so relaxing and made you feel so important! I have curly hair so finding someone who understands the struggle is seriously so difficult but I am thankful I finally found Krystal. She started out by making me a latte, YES A LATTE.... what kind of hair salon would pamper you like this, the answer is the Key Salon! So so good. Going over all the products and goals for my hair was helpful and is definitely going to make me want to buy absolutely everything she uses. The HEAD MASSAGE when she was washing my hair..... stoopppppp it was amazing. With the spa music in the background and the lights turned off, I could've easily fallen asleep. 10/10 experience right there! This haircut was the best one I could've ever recieved and was much needed, I already booked my next one. :) I left there feeling so good and confident. The blowout and loose curls she gave me held for 3 full days, even with rainy weather! I definitely recommend everyone to book an appointment with her ❤

The Key Salon just opened yesterday and I got my first haircut today since February when Covid started. Incredibly impressed with the quarantine protocols taken here. This is a boutique shop with one on one service resulting in a much more relaxed atmosphere, u can pick your own music, and so nice to see personal attention to detail given to small comforts that make the visit a pleasure. I’m a client of Krystal’s from her last location, and she’s a seasoned veteran stylist that does spectacular work and gets it right every single time.

The relaxing environment set the tone for the rest of my haircut experience! The one on one personal setting is unique. There are not enough superlatives to describe the experience you will receive at The Key Salon. Hampton Roads does not have another stylist of this caliber anywhere. Krystal is an artist in every meaning of the word, and she is absolutely committed to her clients and providing them with everything they wanted and more. I have never had anyone as talented cut and style my hair and having recently moved out of state, I made a special trip to have her cut my hair -- I missed her so much! I highly suggest you become a client now while you can still book an appointment with her. She is second to none.

There is no secret to all the 5-start reviews. She isn't offering discounts or bribing anyone to review her. This is seriously a 5-star salon! Every moment is blissful from the time you arrive to the time you leave. She is extremely talented, sweet, kind, and beautiful. This was my first time going to this salon (I am new to the area) and after "stalking" the Instagram page of the salon I knew it was for me. This was my first time in a salon during Covid. Krystal is up on all the CDC guidelines and will make sure you feel safe during your visit and your experience. The Key Salon is so beautiful, and very relaxing. Plus it is one on one. You will be pampered from the moment you meet Krystal. You get to pick your music, enjoy a latte/coffee/tea or water. Listening to the water fountain and the lights dimmed during your experience is very peaceful especially with all that is going on in the world. Krystal is very detailed and will listen to what you want, but will also make recommendations to you for what is good for your face shape and hair. I love that I can go in and tell Krystal to do what you want to do. This is where the magic begins. If your looking for a master stylist, color and cut expert, and so much more this is the place to go. The customer service is top notch. You walk out feeling relaxed and beautiful. I fly all the way from Florida to have my hair done. This is how talented Krystal is.
