I've been coming to The Kismet Co for a couple years now and am always leaving absolutely loving my hair and loving the experience. The staff is so friendly and welcoming Lisa does a fantastic job everytime and she's just so nice i always know im in good hands with her! The environment is clean and happy and I just can't say enough good things about this place! 100% I recommend The Kismet Co!

I've been so impressed with The Kismet Co. I was thrilled to find a covid-safe salon, but even happier to find one that's such a delight to visit. Apart from the covid safety practices, beautiful space and convenient location, the owner and stylists are extremely professional and friendly. Because I use mobility aids, I called ahead to ask a few questions about accessibility before making my first appointment. They were very kind on the phone and able to answer all of my question (and in case anyone is wondering, yes, it's stairs free access and the entry doorway and bathroom doorway are wide enough to accommodate a rollator or walker). From my first appointment onward, I've found the team at Kismet Co to be warm and welcoming. And of course my hair looks and feels amazing every time I leave their salon :) 10/10 would recommend!

Lisa is a fantastic stylist and amazing business owner. She truly customizes her haircuts for me giving thoughtful feedback on what she thinks will look good with my hair type and face shape and the reassurance that we are choosing something modern! As a business owner, I love that she is always putting her customers and employees first, making it a safe and comfortable space. Cannot recommend this place more highly! I left feeling like I could fly! I got the most incredible, stylish, flattering cut and color (including dream bangs) in a comfortable, tranquil outdoor environment. You can tell that so much thoughtfulness and care has gone into every detail of The Kismet Co., not just the physical space and cutting-edge tools, but also each step of the process. Every step is with the client in mind (especially clients with health needs). I also just had the most joyful time chatting with the team (Lisa and her team truly deserve co-producer credits on my next podcast episode because their input was so invaluable)!!! It was so uplifting to be around the stylists who work there, you can tell that they respect one another and appreciate each other (and have fun)! Lisa is a true innovator and accessibility queen for making vital self-care available to people who need the safety of an outdoor environment. She’s leading the way. Her entire team is so awesome and the vibes are just off the charts. Like I said, out I flew, shimmering on the outside, but on the inside, too.

John provided some of the best hair cutting services I have ever received. The attention to detail, the care and attentiveness, and his great personality, a 10/10 experience. Personally, I get uneasy getting my hair cut but John not only made it an enjoyable experience, but his knowledge and guidance left me with one of, if not the best hair cut I have ever received. He really took the time to listen to what I wanted, my hair routine and provided me with a cut that not only met, but exceeded those expectations. If you are someone who is unsure / not confident about the next direction to take your hair, look no where further then John, he is great! As for the salon itself, it was kept in extraordinary condition and was very clean and well kept and all staff was friendly.

Kismet is such a safe and beautiful salon with talented stylists and quality products. Alexis gave me exactly what I was hoping for, explained products as she used them on my hair, and answered all my questions. For the first time since I moved to Seattle 3 years ago, I've finally found a stylist I want to (and will) return to!

Love this place so much! This salon is so unique and has incredible talent on the inside with Lisa and Alexis. I’ve had my hair colored and cut by Alexis a few times now and she is a fantastic hairstylist who knows what she’s doing. I am always SOO happy about the end results of any color job she does for me. This is one of the best hair salons in Seattle!!!

Got lucky looking for a salon in the neighborhood and scheduling an appointment with John. While I’ve had pixie cuts for the past six years in fancy NYC salons, this cut is definitely more stylish and modern….just what I was hoping for!

Lisa has created a safe, beautiful, incredible salon in Ballard worthy of traveling hours to be pampered by her and Alexis ! I had not had my hair done since before lock down and given the nature of my health it was hard to find a space that was filled with talent that I comfortable enough to spend hours in. There is no detail in the salon that has not been attended to. From the second you walk in the door you are cared for and your hair … your hair will walk out in any array of stunning shades/ textures / or glosses you could imagine. Truly the talent here is un touchable, and I don’t say this lightly , I’ve had my hair done from NYC to LA in some of the most “prestigious” salons and celebrity stylist and Kismet Salon - Lisa and Alexis in my opinion a step above them all! OH and they have an OUTDOOR SALON space , come on!

Went into The Kismet Co. and John took great care of my hair, giving me a fantastic cut. I’m particular about my thick Asian hair, but John taught me some techniques to help me style it and I left with a nice looking Gentleman’s Haircut. The space was clean and cozy and everyone was welcoming. I was worried about parking but there was plenty of street parking.

We had such an incredibly wonderful and memorable experience today with Lisa. She was kind, patient, passionate, and professional. It was a family hair cut event. The main one being my son's first hair cut at age 6.5 (he had long locks), my husband's uncut hair (6.5 years)/unruly beard, and my not-so-kept up hair. We had no idea what any of us wanted either. She had her work cut out for her! She was lovely with my little one. He thinks she is amazing and absolutely adores his hair cut. In fact he he literally did a happy dance. I cried what felt like 20 times because is was such a big moment, but I was so happy to have shared that moment with her. You can tell she loves what she does. My husband came out looking fresh, clean, and feeling more confident. Then it was my turn and I essentially left it up to her, and I'm so glad I did. I was thrilled with how it came out. All in all, she is lovely and what she is doing for people is pretty darn special and unquie. We deeply appreciated her skills and services, and will certainly have her cut all of our hair again!

Went to Lisa at the end of the pandemic bc I needed to do something with my hair immediately. Lisa offered the option to visit the salon since I live on a small apartment. She listen to what I want, explained me the process (since I’ve never dye my hair before). I also felt the care, professionalism and noticed that she loves and enjoys what she does. 3 months after I’m still loving the cut and the color! 1000/10 😋😋

I found Lisa at Kismet thanks to the pandemic. She gave me my first outdoor haircut, which was fantastic, despite unusual conditions. She's exceptionally skilled and brought an innovative mindset to serving others when options were limited. Both her skill and that mindset brought me back for in-person appointments. Her color expertise is second to none, and she keeps my specific needs and desire top of mind while creating a fresh look (and she's great at assuaging my nervousness at doing something different). She uses a good selection of products, which is also important to me. While a bit more than I've paid for hair services before, she's totally worth it and I'm happy to support her business. I've had countless compliments--also a nice benefit. Her Instagram photos highlight even greater creativity than what I'm able to do because of work, and while more conservative color, my 'new look' is still fun and a little different. The new salon is beautiful, too, and fully compliant with Covid restrictions.

Lisa is literally what I have prayed for in a hair stylist! That sounds dramatic, but it's true. I had a lot of anxiety sitting down in the chair about my own hair journey, never mind the curve balls and restrictions thrown in by COVID. Lisa made me feel calm and safe about all of the above. She is truly an artist and her creative vision lead her to create the most fabulous, covid safe, chic and fun space for hair outdoors. Her cleanliness and professionalism allowed me to worry a little less than I've been accustomed to when leaving my home these past many months. That all speaks to how lovely Lisa is and the revolutionary space she has created at The Kismet Co. But can we talk about what really matters, MY HAIR! It is beyond my wildest dreams! In our first session she lifted my home colored purple/dark blonde hair all the way to a perfect silver blonde. At our next session she took my dream board a la Pinterest and ran with it! My color is gorgeous, unique, and everything I ever described to Lisa that I wanted. My hair feels healthier than it did before my first visit, by virtue of the level of skill and of quality product. Lisa's outdoor salon is super cute and clean! Not only did I get a beautiful all-over color, but I felt very safe with all the precautions she put into place. If you're looking for an out-of-the-box, fun hair experience I highly recommend the Kismet Co!
