Knotty Kids is top notch! Lily was great, our kid is not the best with clippers but she made him feel comfortable and his hair cut looks fantastic! So glad we found this place, we’ll definitely be back.

I’ve taken my daughter here 2 times before this last appointment for peek-a-boo highlights and a cut. I’ve never had any issues with the way her hair was cut, the color, or the staff. Our most recent appointment was disappointing. We went in for a color deposit on her hair and a cut. When we got there it was determined that she would need more than just color depositing and we wouldn’t have enough time for that, so we said okay and went with the hair wash and cut instead and would come back a different day to do the color. We were taken back right at the time my daughter’s appointment was supposed to start. My daughter’s hair was washed and she was taken to her chair when the owner comes up to me and the stylist and says “hi, we have a child who has special needs… would you mind waiting while we cut his hair it’ll be about 20 minutes. That wouldn’t have been a problem if the owner didn’t try to lie and make me feel bad. The excuse she gave me for her asking if it was okay for us to wait was because we were supposed to get color and during the time the color was supposed to be sitting the stylist would’ve been cutting this other child’s hair. Im not a mathematician but I can add and do simple math. The time it took for her to wash my daughters hair and get her in the chair from the start of her appointment was 12 minutes. The owner approached us as soon as my daughter sat in her chair. Even if we were able to do the color, it would’ve taken longer than the 12 minutes for the stylist to put it in my daughters thick curly hair. We ended up having to wait as the owner made us feel bad about this other child with special needs and how he really needed his hair cut. To make matters worse when we got home her hair looked okay, but it was slanting to the side in the back and since it’s curly, I couldn’t see how crooked her hair was until I straightened it. Her hair is now two inches longer on the left side and slants up going to the right side. We have an appointment to get it “fixed” but we are scheduled with the same person who cut my daughter’s hair the first time. I will not be recommending this place to anyone again. Being lied to by the owner for what seems like someone’s scheduling error and having to wait for 20 minutes during our appointment time and only to get home and see how crooked and chopped my daughters hair is. Absolutely not again.

Katie was extremely nice, made my boy comfortable, & my baby boy look handsome after the cut. She did a good haircut, but unfortunately it was not the cut I was going for. I said I would only like the sides and back cut short & to not touch the top as I wanted that to stay the length it was. I didn't tell her I'm hoping to eventually grow out a lil man bun, but I guess I should have because she gave my boy a fade instead of just cutting the sides and back. Next time I'm just going to make sure I'm super precise on what I'm hoping for. It'll eventually grow into the style I'm hoping for, but for now he looks handsome either way.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the outstanding service my family and I received today. I am the mother of a wonderful autistic toddler who struggles with anyone touching his hair. Thank you, Ms. Katie and the kind woman at the front desk. If you are reading this review I would encourage you to support The Knotty Kids Salon. I am super impressed. This was no average haircut. The women in this salon went above and beyond.

I LOVE this place. And if we lived in Denver or anywhere in the state of CO, we would be devoted customers. In town for a wedding and my young daughters are flower girls and I'm terrible at hair. Betty was so thoughtful and thorough in styling their hair. And the owner puts so much love and care info every corner of the salon. From the room for neuro diverse customers to all the awesome hair products, Knotty Kids is a place that cares about their customers.

I came here about a year ago and saw Deanna J. Deanna did an amazing job on my son's hair. She took her time, and she actually took out the Clippers and the comb and tapered the edges and bottom of his hair so that the hair was fairly short at the bottom and gradually got longer to meet up with the longer hair on the top of his head. The cut took around 20 mintutes, and it was FABULOUS. A few days ago, I had the displeasure of working with Jenny. Not only did she NOT taper the edges and the back of my son's hair (so now we're looking at another cut in about 6 or 8 weeks thank you Jenny) but also, I didn't find her to be very kind. I tried being friendly with her, and she was not friendly. Then after our literal 8 minute haircut she asked me how it looked, and I went up to look at it a bit closer and asked if she could trim the bottom up a little more cuz it gets really fluffy at the end of the day and sticks out away from his head. She took the scissors and did a couple of snips, next she throws the scissors down as if to say -that's all I'm going to do. She did not ask me again if that was better or if that was more like what I was looking for she just threw the scissors down and turned away from me. So, that pretty much ended our time there. It wasn't until I was able to get home and look at it a little further and style his hair myself that I was able to see it's still really was not clipped on the sides or the bottom. And I heard from the scheduler this lady has 20 yrs experience?? experience at what? Less than thorough haircuts, I guess. Not worth the money I spent. I wish knotty salon wouldn't have lost Deanna. She at least cared about providing a decent haircut for clients and was also kind and much more pleasurable to be around than that miserable Jenny.

My daughter had her very first appiontment there today, everyone was super friendly her stylist was betty, and she took such good care of her! And there was another lady with straight brown hair and glasses(sorry dont remember her name because my 6 mo old son was haveing a complete meltdown) sat down with ny kiddo to read to her/ play around with her in the salon so i could try and figure out some stuff with my bank and try to settle the baby. I would give them a 10 out of 10 stars but there is only 5 to give. Will highly recomend to anyone who asks and definatly going back again!

My kiddo was not excited for a hair cut but Jenny broke him out of his shell. She was super sweet and kind which made the experience better. Highly recommend and will be back!

Our girls love Knotty Kids!!! She walks out of the salon w some swagger! (On her way to play in the awesome park right outside). And for us parents… we’ll, there is a wine bar (Trellis) right across from the salon. Just sayin.

Wow this spot exceeded my expectations! The decor and vibe are amazing! The gals who work there are so incredibly sweet and great with a kiddo. This was like a deluxe experience, my daughter is stoked on her hair cut and style. Thank you so much! We will be back!

The stylists at this salon all are AMAZING, reliable, talented and LOVE KIDS!!!! I am always impressed every time I come. Jordyn and Betty are dolls and my kids just love Jordyn. The owner is a dream and always greets me with a smile and the entire place is a vibe. The kiddos love coming here and the prices you cant beat! Thank you Knotty Kids!! We love you!

Went here and got hair cut for my daughter and it came out bad very uneven. I could have done better . My stylist did not have patience for a autistic kid

We loved our first experience at Knotty Kids! Our 21 month old does not normally sit still or let us do his hair and Ms. Katy was amazing. The whole venue is very kid friendly and Katy was quick and efficient and totally won our son over. We will back for sure!

We just took our son for his first haircut. The level of professionalism and patience is amazing. They did an amazing job. They take their picture and save the first lock of hair they cut and give you an adorable “My First Haircut Postcard” along with a toy for the child. I honestly won’t go anywhere else for my kiddo

I took my son here today for his very first haircut and we saw Jordan. I was so anxious about getting his first haircut and I cannot express how thankful I am for Jordan and the experience she provided for us. She was so fantastic and sweet with my son and did an amazing and quick job. I absolutely recommend The Knotty Kids Salon!

Love this place. I take my 2 girls (12 and 8) here to get their hair cut and the stylists there are amazing and great with kids! They have iPads and cool chairs for the littles. Such a fantastic place to bring your kiddos for a hair cut! 10/10

Mo was so kind and warm with my daughter. The atmosphere is wonderful and they are patient with the little ones. They have iPads available and the decor and ambiance was so festive for Christmas. Will definitely be coming back!

We took our daughter here for her first haircut and it was an awesome experience. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and made us all feel comfortable. The salon was well-decorated and fit for children, with toys, books and cute chairs. Katie L did a fantastic job cutting our daughter's hair and we love the cutting they gave us to keep along with the photo they took of her! We will definitely be back for any future hair appointments!
