Chloe killed my cut! Here's a before and after, went a little longer than usual without a cut and really wanted some bangs and shaping layers and of course Chloe always delivers. I love coming to The Lab because it's such a fun experience. The atmosphere is calming and inspiring. Love seeing all the other talented stylists at work when I'm also getting my service. Would recommend !!!

I got my bangs cut here and they did exactly what i asked for. I had kelle do my hair and it was perfect. I came in with a picture on my phone and i left looking like that picture. The salon is cute and clean. I have trust issues with my hair and she did tiny trims until i was happy. Definitely would recommend.

This is my second time to see Gabby and it’s always alwayssss a great and fun experience. She was able to squeeze me in last minute. She’s very knowledgeable about hair and explained everything to me. Talking to her about hair and random things are so easy. She always makes me feel comfortable about my choices and didn’t feel any pressure. I will definitely come back again and see her again. She went above and beyond with everything. Love my hair and color. Aaaagh she’s the best! ❤️❤️

I’ve been seeing Shahd for a year now and I’ve never been more in love with my hair! I feel like she listens to me and what I want and just creates magic behind the chair. Love the salon too! So cool & comfy!

I love my hairdresser, Kelle! I found her on TikTok a few years ago and followed her to the salon. She has so much experience in what she does, it’s such a pleasure to watch her work. I have a shaggy almost mullety type of style, she always gets me looking my best. Yesterday she had a student with her, and it was so interesting to hear the process of how she lets my hair guide what she does. The salon is cute, but I stan Kelle! Totally recommend if you are looking for someone who gives a really stylish cut!

I came early to check in and Chloe was able to take me right away. She was very welcoming, kind, and easy to talk to. I showed her reference photos oh what I was looking for, and she would always ask follow up questions to clarify she knew exactly what I wanted. She also would check in mid cut to make any adjustments as needed. Lovely experience, would recommend and will be back! Thank you Chloe!

Hello, my stylist Sandra was in a rush from start to finish. I didn’t feel heard, I got to my appointment on time but her appointment before me ran long, which happens but it ended up feeling like that was my problem, I was really only looking to even out the layers I already had. Instead i got about 3-4 months of hair growth cut off and on top of that it’s uneven everywhere. During the shampooing I kept feeling water on my face (pass my forehead) and one of my gauges ended up falling out due to her rushing. I’m honestly devastated.

I always have a great experience booking with Shahd! She is very helpful and talks through your hair wants to make sure she understands your vision. I usually get my bangs trimmed and layers. My hair always looks great!! Shahd has also recommended a few products that have been so helpful styling my hair.

I found noelani when searching for stylists that would be comfortable with more alternative styles. I was looking to go shorter than I already was so I knew there wasn't much room to work with. But she was great! Listened to all my wishes and concerns and gave me something flattering that I barely have to mess with. Definitely recommend and will be going back myself <3

The Lab Salon is very warm and welcoming . My first point of contact is always attentive and professional . Carrine was my hairdresser and I was so impressed with her knowledge and skills on keeping my hair healthy and a look that complemented my style . She is someone who always looks her best so I immediately trusted her suggestions. I can not recommend enough the salon and Carrine!!!

This is probably the only place I would trust to cut, style or hair color 🖤 whenever someone is in need of a place to get the job done for hair I recommend this salon. I can't say enough good things about Gabby! From the moment I sat down in her chair, I could tell she truly cares about her clients' hair goals. During our consultation, she took the time to ask thoughtful questions about both my short and long-term hair goals. It was clear that she wanted to fully understand what I was aiming for as I grow my hair out, which immediately put me at ease. Gabby walked me through her plan for achieving the style I was looking for, taking into account my specific hair type and texture. She was super knowledgeable and confident, explaining exactly how she'd approach the cut and style to make sure it would work for me long-term. The result was absolutely fabulous! Catalina did an amazing job with my hair and makeup trial for my wedding! she can do any event type, any style you like! I just showed her some photos and she got to work and was done in about 2 hours. she is also so sweet and easy to talk to.

I got my haircut by Shahd and it is the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. We talked through what I wanted to do with my hair, and it exceeded my expectations. Shahd also took the time to go over how to take care of my hair since it’s damaged from previous color and gave me styling clips for my bangs, amazing! I highly recommend this salon, thank you so much Shahd!

I recently got my hair cut by Kelle and OH MY GOD - I might have to fly back out to San Diego just to get my hair cut by her again. I have had a pixie for the last 6 months and needed to get it cleaned up after 6 weeks of growth and Kelle absolutely knocked it out of the park. Not only did she listen attentively to what I liked and disliked about the prior cut I got at a different place but applied all that to my head shape to absolutely perfect my pixie. It is my favorite hair cut so far and also grows out beautifully. I couldn’t be more happy nor could I recommend Kelle more.

I unfortunately have to take away a few stars because the Lab A Salon has now lost me as a customer. I will keep my original review, however my main issue is with the hair stylist Alex, who was the one who cancelled on me the day of an appointment last time, and once again, did it to me yesterday. I wanted to have Alex give me a hair cut because she has great reviews. Yet I never even had the chance to meet her because twice, she would cancel on me a few hours before claiming she was “very sick.” This time I wanted a new hair cut before New Year’s Eve and she once again screwed me over. The front desk conveniently said they had no other hair cuts available that day but would try to schedule me later in the week. I shouldn’t have had this happen to me twice. I find Alex to be very unprofessional, and she and the lab have now lost me as a customer. If you want someone reliable, I do not recommend Alex. I will not be returning to this hair salon. If they wanted to retain a customer they should seriously have considered offering me a large discount considering Alex did this to me twice. Original review is below. # It was my first time at A Lab Salon. My original hair stylist cancelled just a few hours before which made it seem like something came up vs her just being sick, but they fortunately matched me with another friendly stylist named Kelle. She listened to what I wanted and styled my hair well. I just came in to get a hair cut, nothing fancy, no dying. With tip I paid $150, which is the most I’ve ever paid for a haircut and is why I docked a star. I also told her I was unemployed and recently got a job again, so obviously the $125 without tip seemed a pit astronomical to me when the website says $95+. I was thinking AT MOST I’d pay $110. And because I believe people deserve to be tipped for a job well done, I tipped her 20%. I’m bummed because I liked the experience, but $150 for just a haircut on medium (not long) hair with no dye and some layers is just ridiculous in my opinion. I’ll debate coming back in the future, but would like them to consider their pricing model.

My time here was amazing. I got a cut with Chloe, and she was extremely receptive and supportive of my vision while still surprising me with creative direction, which I appreciated greatly! She was kind the entire time. Cannot recommend enough!
