Got knotless braids the first time I came here. Now it’s my second time coming to this salon for a different hairstyle. The ladies are super nice and patient and the price is good. I will definitely be coming back

I discovered this salon on Google while looking for other salons around where I live. I looked at services offered and saw that you can book appointments with them online, so I did. It’s been quite a while since I got my hair done here, as the last time I was there was my first time and I’m unsure I’d go back (especially about all the recent negative news about hair salons and customer service). I got a call the day of my appointment from one of the ladies who told me the price would be $175 and asked for a picture of the style I wanted. I shared what I wanted and when I went in for my appointment, there were a few ladies working on another woman’s hair. They all looked at me with looks that made me feel like I was unwelcome. They kept staring at me in such a way, even when I told them I was there for an appointment. They told me to sit down. Fast forwarding, one of the ladies is starting on my hair and starts raking at it harshly with a hair pick. I yanked my hair out of her hands and told her clearly to use a widetooth comb or some other actual comb and to treat my hair kindly. She seemed to misunderstand and thought that I was saying I was tender headed and I said “no, I’m asking you to treat my hair with respect”. They finished my hair and I cash apped the owner the amount I was told. She stopped me as I was leaving and said it was $200. I told her that’s not what I was told and asked why. The owner just looked at me seemingly smirking and appeared to act like she didn’t understand my question. I paid the extra $20 and she gave me a card to share with others about the business, thanking me. I remember sitting in my car for several minutes feeling crappy about my experience, like my hair looked good, but I didn’t feel good.

I sat n the chair and they told me 150. When she finished it was 180 and u have to use their atm which charges u $3.00. The braids have been falling out and have only been n for 2 weeks! RIP off, will never go back

Good quality work for an affordable price, ladies and owner are very nice, but not punctual. I’ve had 4 appointments here so far. In 3 out of the 4- I have been double booked and had to be sent to a sister salon to be seen, had the lady didn’t show for my appointment, and have waited over an hour after my scheduled time to be seen.

Great experience! I got smedium knotless braids mid back. I didn't have an appointment and they got me in at 4:30pm same day and I was done by 7:30. I have naturally long and thick hair and they were still so fast with great quality and fair pricing. I will definitely be back!

I don’t appreciate how my daughter hair came out !! She has knot less bohemian braids that look terrible they didn’t use the human hair for the curls that stands out so it looks mess and had the never to charge $250 and the length was not even to hip I will never be back for service nor would I recommend nobody to go there !!

I usually do braids but they recommended twist instead.....it came out better than any braids I've gotten.

In the beginning I asked for box braids “Skinny from root to tip, Light weight , & even parts all around “ had to wait a hour past scheduled time Had an individual do my head and she did not understand the assignment I had braids in my head that was big and some was small , parts uneven and poorly made , the only thing I could say is be careful this place likes to over book and rush through heads jus to get their money there is no consistency and perfection in my opinion I wish them the best but I’m not going back ✌🏻🖕🏻

I’ve only been to Light Hair Braiding once and would not recommend or go back. My braider seemed annoyed during the appointment and I have two of the thinnest, saddest looking cornrows I’ve ever professionally gotten. Just not enough hair used on the tails. They’ll still serve their weekend purpose so not worth hassling over but I wouldn’t recommend or go back. Pros: My appointment started on time, prices are very fair, great location.

My son had been begging me to get his hair braided for the past year. Today was the day I finally took him. I had stopped by their shop randomly a month prior to inquire about their services. I called them and they were very accommodating with my schedule. I was able to book an appointment the same week. I couldn't be happier with our experience. My son loves his braids and the lady who braided him was extremely caring being it was his first time getting braided. I would recommend anyone looking for braids to explore what Light Hair Braiding has to offer.

Some of the workers like to comment negatively and complain about your hairstyle choice. Like saying something is "too big" or "too long, next time get shorter" presumably because the style would take particularly long. I dont know if it is supposed to be a joke, but it does not come across as one. My braids were rushed through as well, and you could tell. I am guessing it was because i was one of the last of the day. Unexceptable. I have not gone back because of this, which was a hard decision, as that was my 7th month coming back. I just dont appreciate being complained about to my face when i am paying $200 for the service

I absolutely love my hair style. I showed Ms. Grace what I wanted and she had free range to use her own creativity. Style turned out fantastic. I wil post pictures later. I definitely appreciate how professional, pleasant, welcoming and I felt very comfortable like I had been there before. I sat in chair at 4 and was done by 8pm. Ms. Grace braids fast not in a rush fast either. Thank you again. I look forward to my next new style in November. I have gotten so many compliments. I also gave information to a potential new client.

I like this business for the vibe, styles, price, location, and comfort. But however I had to come back and update my review due to the way my hair was braided under my protective style. I had to cut some of my hair because the braids were interconnected in an unusual braid pattern.Now I’m dealing with hours of just trying to untangle these braids. Yes Grace offered to fix it but as I explained I do not have a cap to put on and come there. So very disappointed.

The ladies were so friendly and very nice. It took me a long time to be able to have my hair done in this particular style. The 2 ladies that did my hair did an absolutely AMAZING JOB!!! The ladies here are absolutely beautiful and professional I highly recommend this place. I was here on assignment with my job from out of town and wanted my hair braided if I ever come back to Omaha I will come back here for service.
