Cassie was so nice and gentle with my son. First time there and I will definitely be back. I loved that they have a small play space for the kids to play in while we waited for Cassie to be finished with the other client.

Great service by incredibly nice hair stylists. Even with my son not being the easiest to work with the stylists had infinite patience with us and cut just as we wanted.

Pretty lazy/ amateur excuse for a children’s barber/hair stylist. I took my 4 year old son, who has long wavy hair down to his shoulders. I asked them to bun it up and do a low fade and they responded with, that’s probably a job for a real barber lol. Stay away unless you like a company with lazy, second rate barbers who it seems, attained their cosmetology licensure from a cereal box.

We went a few months ago and the haircut was fine. Awkward but little kid awkward after a haircut feels like the norm. We got a cut yesterday, and although the stylist was lovely and sweet to my child- we had to wait an additional 30 mins and left with the weirdest haircut I’ve ever seen on a little boy. It’s layered high in the FRONT. The shortest layers being 2” long at the crown of head. Our son has straight hair. I get texturing it. But he looks like a 90’s alternative artist with straight edgy layers. When she was doing it I knew it was going to be weird but I didn’t want to intervene and be rude (she was trying really hard). They cut so many kids hair in there. Im not the professional, so when you ask for them to “clean it up” you’re hoping they know exactly what to do when they see the child’s hair. It’s aesthetically sweet in there but we won’t be back due to actual ✂️ cut.

Amazing place and experience. This is the place for us. After seeing my sons curls butchered at another place during his first cut, I am now settled on Samantha as the only one I trust from now on. She did a phenomenal job of not taking off too little or too much. It was perfect, and she was kind and sweet with my son.

Josie did a wonderful job with my shy daughter's first haircut. It was a relaxing calm environment, very clean. She was comfortable cutting curly hair. She also added fun jewels to her hair which she absolutely loved 💕

My daughter had her first real hair cut here today. We just wanted a trim and our stylist Samantha did a great job making sure she trimmed the right amount off. My daughter's hair looks so much healthier! Samantha offered to do an 'Elsa braid' and my daughter was so excited about that. She even added little gems to make it extra special. We will definitely be coming back for all of our daughter's future haircuts!

This place is super cute and everyone was really nice. The lady who cut my daughter's hair was kind and gentle, but she did not do a good job. My daughter has long wavy hair and the lady just brushed all the wet hair back and cut a straight line across her hair. The front ended up longer than the back and now that it's dry and wavy it looks completely uneven and awful. I could have done a better job at home myself, and now i’m going to have to pay someone else to fix it.

Josie was awesome and helped put my daughter's nerves at ease, and made it so it was easy to have my daughter hold hands with me, and the cut was great! She's still talking about the butterfly clip!

Went to this cute little shop for baby’s first haircut, they did a great job! The stylists were so friendly and patient with the kids. They even gave us a keepsake certificate and let us keep a little lock of hair. Highly recommended for a baby’s first haircut.

They always do a wonderful job on my son’s cut. He is a serious wiggle worm and they are patient and kind. It’s not particularly affordable but the shop is darling and their kindness is worth the splurge for us for now.

Oh my goodness what a great place! I drove 30 min to get here and it's just something else! So zen and original in its chair designs. The play area is great, the hairdresser was lovely and it was such a fun add-on that she got to pick a hairstyle and hair clips - and THEN got a lollipop. All for less than $30! My daughter had a great time. This was more than a haircut - it was an immersive experience for her. :)

We love Samantha. She’s so patient and sweet with our son. We’re also very impressed that she has all of her fingers— as our child is a tiny tornado and constantly moving. She’s been cutting his hair since he was about 18 mo and he’s almost 4 now. The first time she cut his hair— he lost it and she recommended we go outside and she cut it there— it worked! She’s a magical unicorn! We couldn’t imagine anyone else cutting his hair. 💕

We took our 21month old here for his first hair cut. We saw Samantha, who was wonderful and gave our little one exactly what we wanted. Everyone in the shop was so warm and welcoming and the overall ambiance is so cute and calm. We will definitely be back!

We went to Little Blue Jay for our (almost) two year old son’s first real haircut and had the *best* experience. Laura cut his hair and made him feel comfortable immediately with her warm energy and incredibly kind demeanor. It was the sweetest ambience and setup — and we left with an adorable new haircut. My only regret is not going sooner! It was just a beautiful experience all the way around. Highly HIGHLY recommend this sweet children’s salon and Laura. She is amazing!

I took my 10 year old daughter for a haircut and was so pleased with the results. She felt like a big girl on the chair. The appointment was made online, and we had no wait when we got there, although there were other kids there getting their haircut. Carleigh was very good and sweet, and I felt I could tell her how I wanted the haircut, and she gave me her input and advice. Thank you so much for a wonderful time for my girl.

Lauren was very patient with my son - and me. If you like supporting local, family-owned businesses, give them a try. We got my son's first haircut here, and after bouncing around a few options closer to Brookhaven...we are going back. The staff is also friendly as well.
