Jenay was wonderful from making my emergency appointment to giving me the look I wanted. No cookie cutter crochet. She fit the cut to my face. She is awesome. The salon is 5 star from the deco vibe and shampo room aromatherapy and the steam conditioning process so relaxing. Great experience they got me all the way together ❤️

Ashley has been my stylist at the Mahogany Salon for 10 years. She does a wonderful job with my hair and as long as she is open I plan to be in her chair! Her salon is beautiful and relaxing and she always takes great care of her clients. If you need someone who knows natural black hair then the Mahogany Salon is your choice.

I have been in search and praying for a natural hair stylist for quite some time. When seeking, majority salons were already full or no available openings until later in the month. I then reached out to Mahogany Salon and spoke to Ashley briefly about the condition of my hair and shared how it needed some extra TLC. Ashley, was so kind, and squeezed me into her busy schedule the same day! Once I arrived, I knew that I was in for a treat. Whew, but God. 🙌🏾 The peaceful atmosphere, healthy snacks and praise & worship music was a vibe all by itself and my hair looks and feels amazing! Ashley was very knowledgeable when addressing the overall process with getting my hair back to healthy and I’m so grateful. I can now say, that I have a natural stylist…she’s the total package. Love Ashley! I went natural maybe 2 years ago. She’s taught me what to do and not to do with my hair. But she’s not just about your hair, she’s about your whole body which affects your hair. She’s all that!!!

Such an amazing experience, my very first time ever in a salon, and getting a trim. During the wash and conditioning my scalp had never felt that clean before, and as a tender headed person it felt like every strand was being delicately deep cleaned, then the steam treatment was something i wasn’t expecting but sure as hell needed, then my hair came out exactly how I wanted she(Ms. Ashley) let me know how any and everything would look before she cut or touched anything, she kept me involved in the process, and everything was handled in such a professional manner she called hours before sent texts days and weeks leading up to my appointment I definitely recommend her to you especially to those who don’t like to get their hair done by other people her welcoming energy allows you to relax and enjoy The Mahogany Salon experience.

No one answers the phone or returns voicemail

The morning of my appointment I received a voicemail asking me to arrive 30-minutes later than my scheduled time. When I arrived the stylist asked me what style I wanted, but did not do any analysis of my hair (consultation). She then washed my hair and placed me under a steamer for a 15-minute steam conditioning treatment and proceeded to have a 40 minute conversation with another person in the salon (presumably someone who works there). I paid for her time and products and then left. The service that I received was less than professional.

If you want a professional educated stylist to work with your hair whether it is relaxed or natural, mahogany hair salon is the place to go. From recommending products, to protective hairstyles, Ashley knows her stuff! The shop is located in a great location, it is clean and very comfortable.
