Really bad service. I made an appointment and even arrived early. They made me come back after 30 minutes which I did. They had taken two new people and asked me to wait 15 minutes which I did and they still weren't ready.

Nothing fancy but gets the job done. Juni was great and so sweet. She really took her time and had great attention to detail. Got a powder dip manicure and it was $60 before tip and tax.

The staff is wonderful and they seem to take pride in their work. They are meticulous, fast, and efficient. My nails always look perfect, unique, and classy. I’ve been getting a mani/pedi there since 2021. They are located in a great vibrant neighborhood:Downtown Brooklyn.

I booked for a extension removal and a gel manicure and walked out with two cuts that are bleeding on my hands (after asking her to be careful multiple times nicely with the pinky finger) and no polish no anything because i realized they were rushing and I hate poor quality of work due to people rushing. My nails weren’t even evened out…It’s insulting especially when I still had to pay $50 for basically nothing. I feel robbed and disrespected. This is how I left smh NEVER STEPPING FOOT IN THERE EVER AGAIN I WAS THEN CHARGED AGAIN after being told to just come in & the owner had NO COURTESY AT ALL FOR HARMING MY FINGERS NEVER AGAIN

Poor Service and Lack of Accountability at The Nail Story - I wish I had listened to the numerous negative reviews for The Nail Story before my own awful experience. With so many reputable nail salons in downtown Brooklyn, I strongly urge others to explore alternative options. I am sure they will respond to my Google review in a way that is far more respectful than the way they communicated with me via phone. During what should have been a routine pedicure, the nail technician scraped off at least a half inch of skin from my foot, clearly unable to distinguish between callused and regular skin. She then sprayed rubbing alcohol (or something of that like) directly onto the open wound, causing stinging and pain. Due to being rushed to catch a flight after the service and not having my glasses that day, I did not realize the full extent of the damage until after I had paid and left the salon. I had to bandage my foot myself—not sure why the nail tech proceeded as if everything was normal. As soon as I landed and was able to obtain a SIM card for my phone, I contacted The Nail Story to request a full refund. However, the owner trivialized the incident at every turn, shifting blame to me (?????) and refusing to take responsibility. She gave these reasons for why she refused to give even a partial refund: 1) She claimed I should have asked for the refund before leaving, despite my explaining that I was in a rush for my flight and did not have my glasses on to view the injury properly. 2) She said calling a day later was too long to wait, even though I clarified that I had been unable to call sooner due to lack of cellular service. 3) She stated the technician claimed I seemed satisfied with the service - which is irrelevant given my account of being actively injured. 4) Rather than a refund and a call back, I was offered via text message 20% off my "next service" as long as it happened before 5/31/24. Why on earth would I subject myself to further mistreatment at an establishment that so blatantly disregards client safety and satisfaction? Beyond the injury, other issues included a poorly done pedicure and improper waxing technique that broke hairs rather than removing them fully. Waxing was also performed slowly, unnecessarily prolonging pain and discomfort. For negligent service resulting in injury and a complete lack of responsibility from ownership, I cannot recommend The Nail Story. They have proven unwilling to correct their mistakes or provide any reasonable recourse for customers. My advice is to take your business elsewhere.

They’ve changing staff like crazy and always in a rush to serve. They’ve change ownership and it just don’t worth your money. More than three times I’ve tried they just tell you they’re too busy to attend you. And it is a lie! They just in a rush to go home They never want to do massage even when it is listed on the menu and they have the space to do it, this is a location with a HUGE potential but new ownership is always absent there’s not love or care for the business … note to the owner: sell me your business, I’ll take care of it. I care, this is my community your management is just not good enough for this area

I made an appointment for 2 pedicures through their website 3 weeks prior to the appointment date. I arrived and not only did they have no record of the appointment, they made me leave as they were “unable to accommodate” me. They wouldn’t even let me wait until after the current people were done. What a waste of time.

Came here to get a nail fixed, the ask was just glue. They tried to make me wait for a long time even though it literally takes 2 seconds to glue a nail back and customers offered to wait since my ask was quick. Terrible customer service.

I got a simple manicure with regular polish. She did a phenomenal job. My nails looked great and the polish stayed far longer than usual when I get regular polish. It was ridiculously affordable too!!

I just love Nail Story! I get my nails done with Michelle every second week and have pedicures every now and again! The staff and owner are extremely friendly, kind and they are very good at their jobs!

they overcharge like crazy and then both staff caught a nasty attitude when i said i didn’t have cash to give them a tip but she still proceeded no rudely say “ how much are you tipping from your card “ when she clearly stated they only take cash tips???? my short french too nails ( that weren’t even that great and lasted a week) cost basically 100$ …. why am i tipping you for that ? with that being said i will never be going back there again because the staff are nasty and rude !!!

I never write reviews but I had such a bad experience here I felt like I have to. I came in to have acrylics and pedicure. Asked prices for acrylic set the employee said $60. And then asked for SNS they said $50. First i decided to get pedicures which was horrible i did not know for gel pedicure is $60 lol and regular pedicures is $40. I would expect extra $5 for gel pedicure not extra $20!! Then after 20 mins asked the price again for acrylic now the prices for acrylic is $75 for regular and $85 for gel. How prices changed again. Then for sns is now $65 lol. I get the SNS NAILS done by my house is $40. And acrylic is $65 gel one. I do not mind paying but keep the price consistent. WORST WORST EXPERIENCE….. even $45 pedicure is mot worth it

I went back since my nail broke. It broke within one week. I called them and they said they could fix it. When I went back to fix it. The lady immediately said that I didn't do my nails there. I was really shocked because of that. I'm quite sure if a white woman walked in they would have 100% believed her.
