Cat is the best. I’ve sat in Cat’s chair for over 3 years and every visit is magical. 🦄 The cuts are perfect, the blonding is stunning… I cannot recommend Cat more. And on top of that, I can work while having my hair done in their chair, with zero judgment.

Cat is easily the best stylist I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing! They’ve taken my hair from purple to brown to red to blonde and always made sure to keep my hair feeling healthy and happy. I always appreciate how honest they are with me about what is doable as well as the time and funds it will take. I’ve never once felt pressured to change what I want but their wealth of knowledge has helped me make well informed choices to suit my taste and my hair. On top of all that, they are also a kind soul who works so hard to make sure you will have the best experience possible. I truly and honestly mean it when I say I can’t wait for my next appointment!!

Just had my first visit at The Nest. Their upstairs salon has an open and airy floorplan and has a great vibe. Tracy cut off about 3” of length and added some light layers; it feels great and looks so natural.

Everyone at the Nest is so kind and welcoming. I personally see Tracy and love her! She does an amazing job on my shag hair cut and loves seeing my crazy ideas for hair color inspiration. Tracy and some of the other stylists are specialized in vivid color, so if you're looking for a great place to get some vivid color or just a cut you'll love, try this place out!

I cannot stop raving about having Cat as my hairstylist. I honestly regret not seeing them sooner. I've only had two haircuts with them in the last year, but my god, when I tell you about the magic Cat works! I told Cat that I'm a low maintenance person, but I still love good hair, so asked what I could do. Each visit Cat's been so helpful to educate me in proper haircare with simple tips and was the first stylist to explain to me that my hair wasn't truly straight, hence I haven't been following a routine more attuned to my hair type. This explaination changed my hair game to a whole new level! I kid you not, the number of compliments I keep receiving about my hair has been nuts all bc of Cat's simple, educational hair tips! So anytime anyone asks about my hair, I'm always ready to rave about Cat and send them their way. 11 out of 10!

Looking for someone who can do full gray blending?! Melissa has been coloring and cutting my hair for 7 years. She’s an artist! When she moved to St, John’s I wasn’t sure I wanted to travel so far for my hair. Totally worth it! (The Nest is a beautiful, comfortable space.) Melissa has helped improve the texture of my previously frizzy, dry hair. She’s a wizard with curly hair! And now she’s helped me transition to gray! With less than 3 months grow out she matched my hair and dyed and bleached my hair into a lovely, soft silver. I’m super pleased with it!

Hairstylist Cat Good is a magician! Like seriously, best hair experience ever. I had a lot of questions about my hair which has had a lot of damage recently. Cat worked their magic to revitalize my hair and taught me so much along the way. Cat was able to bring out a natural wave texture in my hair that I had never seen before!

Cat is the BEST hairstylist I have ever been to. Not only do they have a great personality, but they're the only person I've worked with who actually knows how to cut curly/wavy/textured hair. Cat knows exactly what they're doing and I know I am always leaving happy. Plus, Cat has a great eye for color and always knows the right shade to dye my hair. I couldn't be happier and I am so lucky I found them :)

Elle is truly a master of her craft. First things first - YES - her price point is worth it. She transformed my hair from an orange mess to gorgeous balayage just in time for my wedding. We did a consult first, and she laid out a plan of action that included two sessions and home care. I felt so confident after leaving that consult, and she absolutely shattered my expectations with her work! I cannot recommend her enough. Also, the Nest is a lovely place to be in, and is especially comfy when you have a longer appointment. They have all the elevated touches!

I have very, VERY, thick and dense wavy hair (the curse/blessing of being Greek) and I have been searching for years to find someone who knows how to cut my hair properly. I found Cat at the Nest and I will literally swear by them until I die. Cat not only knows how to cut my hair the way I like, but also has taught me how to care for my hair and facilitates proper maintenance for super thick wavy hair. They work with me and with my hair type to produce the best results possible, AND they're fun to talk to which is *chefs kiss*. Cat also colored my hair and it's fading so beautifully, no comments or complaints only compliments from me forever :-)

Tracy was amazing! I had not had a professional hair cut in over 3+years. She was super friendly, gentle and knew what would fit for my style. I had a great first experience at the nest and I love my new look! I’ve gotten so many compliments and I have been recommending Tracy whenever I can. The space is so cute and I will be coming back in the future. I booked 2 days before, the booking process was super easy. Support your local small businesses, these people are great:)

After looking for a stylist specializing in curly locks, I was lucky to find a local stylist, Cat. My first appointment was for a curly cut. Cat really took the time to understand what my hair goals were and also did a color consultation. They taught me some tools to bring out the best shape and how to refresh my curls. The cut was amazing and exactly what I requested. I returned to them for an balayage a couple of weeks later. Cat executed my vision perfectly and gave my hair lovely dimension to complement my skin tone and grow with me/low maintenance. They essentially made my hair the best version of itself and are a great listener and hair collaborator. Thank you, Cat!

Attention all curly haired peoples! I recently moved to this area and was super nervous to find a new hair stylist. I took a chance and booked an appt with Cat Good and found out they're a curl specialist (!!). Bottom line, they're amazing. I got an AWESOME cut and color from a very sweet, hospitable person. I am a habitual salon/stylist hopper. The last stylist I stayed with for more than one haircut moved away over six years ago...but I just had the nicest experience with Lily at The Nest and I KNOW I’ll be sticking around for a long time! She was so friendly, took all my thoughts and concerns in to consideration, gave me an awesome cut that won’t look sad in two weeks, and made me feel completely at ease. The vibe here is great—no intimidation factor at all, beautiful space and light, great people. A+ Lily! A+ Nest!

I highly recommend this salon. Elyse has been taking excellent care of my hair for about 7 years and I have always been extremely satisfied. The salon is perched up above a local St John's bar and eatery which gives it a peaceful vive. On a sunny day when the window's are open and the perfectly chosen sound track is playing it's a pretty ideal place to have some good self care. The salon also carries some of the best products in the industry.

I've been to The Nest twice now, once before COVID and once today. It's a fantastic, relaxing space with amazing stylist. And the COVID-19 guidelines they have in place really help make it feel safe and still relaxing.

Tracy was amazing. She did my hair, my daughters and my best friends hair and did a fantastic job. My daughter did not like the way her hair was done (not dark enough) and when we talked with Tracy about it, she never hesitated and had us come back so she could redo it and it turned out fantastic. She has a great personality and an all around fun person. Will definetly be going back to see her again when it's time for touch ups. Thank you Tracy, you rock!

I’m always a little nervous getting my hair cut, but Denise has completely changed my outlook!! She is talented, listens to what I like and want, and gets the job done well! I have now gotten my hair cut from Denise about a dozen times and will continue to book her. She’s also hilarious to talk to in the chair and eases my fears and worries about getting my hair cut.
