Worst experience in my life! A friend of mine purchased a gift card for me to visit this place. I called to book an appointment and a day before my visit I got flu. The day of my appointment they said they were going to charge me $80 for the cancellation of the service if I don’t show up (for a service that was PAYED for!!). THE DUMBEST THING I’VE EVER HEARD!! I had to show up with fever and stuffy nose just so I don’t get charged

I just had one of the best massages of my life. The stress of the holidays, plus walking poorly trained dogs for my friend, left my body in shambles. After my massage therapist, Taurus, was done, I feel like I can face the new year and, I am pretty sure I am taller! I plan on returning every time I am back in Chicago! Thank you Taurus and NOW!

Excellent experience from the moment I walked in. The gentle aroma that is circulating in the welcome area immediately gives you the transported feeling like you're about to really relax. The woman working the front desk was so professional and kind, we had a great convo before my massage therapist came out while I sipped on some cucumber lemon water. Now I am so sad I do not remember the name of the masseuse I had because she was wonderful. I paid extra for cupping service and she did an expert job. I loved walking into the back room where the massages take place, I felt like I had traveled to another country. It was nice and dark and there were whooshing sounds of waves. My massage was great and I am considering the membership! I barely remember my walk home, I was in a trance. Glad this place is in my hood!

Got a massage from Robert today and it was a great experience. He was very attentive to my needs, checked that pressure was good a few times and the overall atmosphere was very relaxing. I will be back.

Great massage therapists, happy with my membership. Would definitely recommend. Spare yourself the "enhancements," though – they cost and additional $20+, eat into your massage time, and are underwhelming. I got the CBD Calm Balm and it was $20 for a dime's worth of cream that did absolutely nothing.

I highly recommend booking with Melisa! Especially if you want to try the enhancements. I’ve seen reviews from customers not satisfied with how other massage therapists barely use them and feel it’s not worth the extra $, But trust me, Melisa makes it absolutely worth it! She’s so skilled at integrating the enhancements into the massage with impeccable timing and technique. I’ve even combined 2-3 different kinds in one session, depending on how I’m feeling on a particular day and what she suggests would benefit me. It also helps break up the monotony of routine massages and makes it feel like a new experience each time. Two enhancement combos I recommend booking with Melisa are: gliding cupping + hemp calm balm for sore/achy muscles, and scalp renewal + fresh eyes for tension headaches

Went once had a great experience and became a member. Unfortunately, there is not consistency with the therapists. Paid extra for deep tissue (which in itself feels kind of scammy) and would just have massages with gentle rubbing. Nice if you just want to relax in a nice ambiance without therapeutic benefits.

My massage therapist Somang was wonderful. I had a deep tissue massage and it was just what I needed. The place is clean, quiet, and relaxing. Your therapist talks to you before to see if you have any areas that need attention or avoiding. I will definitely go again!

Melisa hands down (pun intended) worked wonders! I was shocked the session ended on time, I felt like I was floating and we were going beyond my 50 min, but nope! The soreness and tightness I walked in with are gone! Walked out on cloud nine and feeling like a brand new person! Would definitely add gua sha with the stretch with Melisa for every future session now!

I had a terrible pain in my right shoulder blade for weeks. After one session with Eduardo the shoulder pain completely went away. Great massage in a relaxing vacation-like environment with knowledgeable massage therapists who are there to ease your stress and pain.

Melisa D is the best therapist ANYWHERE. I’ve been a client of hers for over 8 years and I can honestly say that of the many, many, many therapists I’ve had - there’s absolutely no one as talented as her. With spinal stenosis, herniated disks, and sciatica issues, she’s customized a routine for me over the years that’s both indescribable as a spa treatment and indispensable for my wellbeing. She’s always pushing herself to progress. Her style is intuitive and her abilities are so very comprehensive. She reads the body better than anyone and stays in tune with evolving and emerging needs. I look forward to every session with her because I always leave better than I came in - as relaxed, rejuvenated, and revitalized as humanly possible.

Had the most amazing massage from Edwardo. The ambiance was amazing and I felt very comfortable the entire time. I was most Impressed by the vibe of the place and how much holistic things there were. Daniel (guy at the front desk) was so kind and had exceptional customer service. I would recommend this place over any other location!

My experience at The NOW was incredible. The staff was welcoming & kind. The ambience was a perfect setting for relaxation. My Massage Therapist Gabby was nothing short of perfect. She had a gentle spirit and made me feel so incredibly comfortable and very relaxed. I couldn’t praise her highly enough and definitely plan to come back to see her again!

My massage was awesome! The space is very clean and quiet. Everything was really good. I let my therapist know that i have some sensitivities on my legs and she made sure to use the correct amount of pressure and i actually fell asleep for the first time during a massage. I felt very safe and comfortable!

This was a WONDERFUL massage but the add-on scalp treatment ($20) was not worth the money at all. The massage therapist spent around 2 minutes with the scalp scrub and barely got to my actual scalp — leaving a bunch of the scalp oil/scrub just in the front section of my hair. Highly recommend for a massage… just skip the extras!

My experience was just okay. Nothing wrong with the services or the location. There are personal cabana style service areas, there is calming music playing throughout, and the massage area is dimly light for relaxation. The restroom is clean. This is your go to for basic massage services with no extra frills you might find are spas.

UPDATE: This is a response to the owner’s response… You might not want to subtly imply that your client is lying on a Google review. The entire time was not utilized and I never asked for weaker pressure. That’s just not true and it’s quite disappointing that you would include that in your reply. And it doesn’t matter if the therapist had an emergency or not. A simple apology from the therapist or the front desk would have sufficed. I was a first time customer — just a “hey I have to move your appointment” is not sufficient. You all can do better than that. If you were a first time customer at my business, I would want to make a great first impression! And of course I didn’t mention anything at checkout. It felt awkward to bring up such a poor experience right away. The reply was unnecessary, and I really hope you treat your other clients better. I want you all to be successful as a new businesses in Lincoln Square. But words do matter and a passive aggressive apology is not helpful. It’s likely you were trying to protect yourself from other people seeing my review, but a little honesty goes a long way. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I was really looking forward to this, but had such a poor experience. For one, 1.5 hours before my appointment, I got a text message saying my massage therapist was running late and that my appointment needed to be pushed by an hour. I said sure and got absolutely no apology. Maybe just a fluke… same thing when I got there and checked in. No sorry at all. I arrive 15 minutes before my appointment as instructed which was a waste of time. Don’t do that unless you haven’t filled out the paper work. I sit there and my therapist is 7 minutes late to my already late appointment. I also laid on the table for about 10 minutes (I could see the clock) before the therapist came back to start the massage. The massage experience was poor. I purchased three upgrades but really only got one as far as I know, yet was charged for all three. At least I assume I got the hemp calm balm but I actually don’t know if I did because my therapist wasn’t really saying anything. It says online it has peppermint but I didn’t really feel anything so maybe it was just regular lotion or oil. The herbal heat packs were MIA as far as I could tell. I felt hot towels that were used to wipe the lotion off. And there was no deep tissue… equal time was spent on all areas. Pressure was weak and I’m not even sure why you get charged extra for deep tissue… isn’t that the whole point of a massage? I ordered the “Now 80”, but it was really the “Now 68” because my massage ended 12 minutes early for whatever reason. It sounds like laying there and waiting for the therapist starts the clock. And on top of it taking 10 minutes for the massage to start, the therapist randomly went away for a couple of minutes. Make that the “Now 66”. Not worth the $200+ it cost. Much better deals and service elsewhere. I would go as far to say that I got ripped off considering I paid for add ons that didn’t seem to exist and my massage got cut short.

I’ve been here a few times now and the 4+ massage therapists I’ve seen have been incredible. Love the atmosphere and the sound of waves while getting your massage. Would definitely recommend this place.

Nice membership options, and I appreciated their low lit beach decor; instead of music they had the sound of ocean waves, which was nice. I needed a massage fairly quickly and I was able to book the same day for an affordable price.

Wow. I just had my first visit here and I’m very impressed. I am a total sucker for guest experience, and this place seriously nailed it. I felt right at home with my therapist, she listened to my needs and I enjoyed her therapeutic style. Feeling “cared for” in a new place is like unheard of and that’s the best way I can describe my visit. There are lots of things that won me over here and the details are what makes the difference. I loved that the session consult takes place in a private room, so you aren’t feeling weird talking about your issues in the guest lobby, or in the quiet session space, which felt so intentional. I love how they chose to do the lighting in this space - you aren’t blinded by walking into a dark session room from the bright lobby. Instead, the lighting here allows your eyes to naturally adjust and it is soo relaxing. The therapy rooms are spacious and feel so private. When we walked back to begin the session, I felt myself instantly winding down, which is kinda hard for me to do on my own. I stg it was almost bizarre, like my senses were all put to ease. In the room, there was designated space for my personal items which was a nice touch. I noticed that there is even a little button on the wall in case you need assistance, very clever and assuring. I am also a sucker for utility. So they’ve thought of everything a person and I love it. I felt right at home and the whole experience was immersive and welcoming. I wish this place existed in Michigan! After my session, the manager took the time to connect with me for feedback on my first visit, and her care felt genuine and warm. I will absolutely be back.
