Yeah. No. Paid for a "stretch" massage which consisted of pushing my knees to my chest and while lying face down holding each of my arms above my head. That's it. That may sound like an embellishment but I kid you not. Also the masseus sat down in a little rolling stool (its fine if they're not but they met me in the lobby prior to the massage and were clearly able bodied) which had two negative consequences. 1. It's very difficult to generate pressure while sitting on a stool so even after asking them to apply more pressure, it just felt like they were pushing my skin around and 2. I could feel their breath on my face and head and neck each time they exhaled because again, they were sitting down on a little rolling stool so their face was basically parallel with mine. Bizarre technique. The entire place is, a well decorated front lobby with one big room in the back. They stuffed about 10 massage tables back there, separated only by a bed sheet which has the effect of making it sound like people are constantly entering and exiting your "room" which feels great and not creepy. There's gotta be a better place than this, especially at these price points. Thanks for the reply. Aaliyah emailed me and I reinforced to her exactly what I wrote in my review above. Great atmosphere (love the ocean wave sounds rolling through the room). I became a member so I can go back every month and save $30. Summer update - I’ve had two massages with Shamekia and she is great too. Love her energy and talent! 2025 update - I saw Matt for the first time this January and really enjoyed my 80 minute massage (“The Now”) with the hemp calm balm extra (like Icy Hot). He has a unique style that was really good.

Would not recommend! I had a very uncomfortable massage experience here recently. My therapist scoffed at my requests and left me feeling anxious all 80 minutes of my time there. I also have had back pain since going.. I left a note with the front desk so I could talk to them over the phone about my experience - the person I spoke with showed zero compassion for what I explained and did nothing to make the situation right. Overall, the lack of care, ability to have the massage I was seeking and poor response by management was a huge bummer.

Jonathan is highly skilled and very in tune with what’s going on in your body. 10 out of 10 would recommend. I think it was actually the best massage I’ve ever had. Not all therapists are equal.

This was my first time at The Now here in Austin (had gone previously in Chicago) and I absolutely loved it. Tracy did an excellent job at bringing my achy muscles back to life after a hectic time in my life since I last had a massage. Ended up signing up for the membership - I can’t wait to go back!
