This salon is a GAME CHANGER. I have never experienced hospitality and care outside of an upscale spa in this fashion. I have seen Nina several times. Sometimes people tend to be amazing on the front end to win you over. My services with her have been consistently wonderful. There is thought put into everything: From the time you enter, in the offering of a drink to something as simple as a warm towel on the neck rest as your hair gets washed, to providing a checklist of recommendations for future appointments/purchases. Nina is very knowledgeable as well as budget conscious. While she shares each time what product she’s using, and its purpose, she is never salesy; it's never a pitch, only information to do with as you’d like. From the first time in, she listened to my goal of growing my hair, and has used every tool in her belt to help me accomplish that, rather than talk me into a style or something that I didn’t want. I also enjoy that she allows me to rest while receiving the service without the pressure to chit-chat. When I’m getting a service, it’s a time for me to shut off my mind for a time and rest. I never feel like I have to entertain her in conversation or an obligation to talk, nor does she ask a bunch of questions for the sake of asking. The atmosphere itself is worthwhile. Michelle, the owner, did an impeccable job designing the place. Again, every detail accounted for. It's modern with a mixture of texture, while keeping the original charm. I want to get my friends gift cards just so they can experience this for themselves. You will not be disappointed!

I finally found a salon home! Taylor is amazing and my curls have never looked better! As a curly girl, it is hard to find someone who truly knows how to handle them and make them happy. The scalp facial was an experience and a treatment I didn’t know I needed and I certainly did. Nina’s treatment was a fantastic sensory calming experience. My favorite part was everything. My hair and my curls were equally appreciative and look and feel so happy.

When I moved to the KC area I knew I wanted to find a new salon that ticked all my boxes - a place that was eco friendly, had clear policies for their clients and wasn’t overstimulating. The Organic Salon delivered!! I was so excited to visit them and had a wonderful, relaxing appointment with Nina. My haircut was wonderful, she gave me delightful layers that created movement and definition that I love. I really appreciate the thorough new client intake process, and how clear the salon website is for considerations like parking, etc. The whole vibe is cozy and eclectic, and I’m already super eager for my next appointment!

i'm so happy i finally found a salon that reflects my values of low waste and sustainability. i came here originally when i had dyed my hair at home (because covid) and needed help getting back to my natural color. michelle understood what i was looking for and helped me achieve my goals while being cognizant of my budget. i love that they use organic products and low tox color and they are always so welcoming and helpful. i would recommend this salon to anyone and everyone!

I love everything about this clean, tranquil and unconventional salon! I especially love how Michelle cuts my hair. I am endlessly thankful for her showing me how to use velcro rollers to style my hair. My hair has never looked better!

Kayla cut and colored my hair, and was able to teach me how to wear my hair naturally curly! I have never been able to figure out the right product or method, and she taught me an easy method that is low effort and works! The color was also amazing. It was different than I originally thought, but she noticed my natural tones in my hair and created a color that is even better than I could have imagined and brought out my natural highlights and color! She is great, and I love this salon!

Y’all! This place has ALL THE BEST VIBES! The salon itself is really cute with exposed brick and chic, flawless touches. It was my first time in the salon … in any salon since I’ve moved to KC … and Taylor was bursting with love and great energy. She made me feel right at home, making my hot mess hair (long overdue for a cut) look big Texas fabulous. I was so nervous about finding a new stylist but here she is! Thank you so much for not pushing me to color my grays - it’s a point of anxiety for me as I turn 40. 🤍 I also heard that they are big on supporting other small businesses as well. Way to go, ladies! I’ll be back and telling all my new friends.

In January my hair was incredibly matted and I was very concerned that it would have to be shaved off. I checked with various salons in the Kansas City area to see if they could help me. I was told by one salon that it would take 11 appointments to unmat my hair, and started getting very concerned. I finally found Organic Salon, Michelle, who provided a consultation, and then stylist Nina. Nina has been such a blessing for me! She was able to unmat and detangle my hair during the first appointment, and has since brought my hair and scalp, which were in such bad shape, back to really good health..and shine! Nina detangles my hair gently, provides a scalp detox, hair massage, along with gentle washing and conditioning. My appointments with Nina are really a joy. After our session I feel like a million bucks. Thank you Nina‼️.. and Michelle!!

This salon is so fresh! The stylists were all so friendly; I talked to all four of them throughout my appointment time. And the biggest cherry on top was that all 4 stylists (mine included) were doing colors, and there was NO NOXIOUS SMELL!!! I love getting my hair done here because I can trust the quality of products, quality of service, and SAFETY!! Clean colors, sign me up!!

Beware. I’ve been going here for a few months. I suffered a concussion two days before my appointment. As soon as I was able, I called to reschedule. It was the day before my appointment but less than 24 hours in advance. They have a strict “24-hour Advance Notice” for cancellations. I received a text response to my request to reschedule that stated, only, that I would be charged $25 for violating the policy. I asked if I would receive credit toward my next visit and the answer was “no.” I do not see the wisdom in valuing $25 over a long term customer’s business.

If you have curly hair- Taylor’s your girl! She did an amazing job on my cut and style. I had been searching for years to find a salon that could cut my hair properly and make me feel confident afterwards, and now I’ve found it! They also have a little area in the salon where they set up a small booth of products from a local small business, I think that is awesome!

Michelle has created such a sweet lil sanctuary in Kansas City! I was thrilled to see some of my favorite hair care brands here, including innersense and under Luna, my favorite natural hair care shampoo 🥲 everyone in the salon was sweet, the music was lovely & I love how my hair turned out with this little frencg bob situation 😍

Recently moved to KC and really wanted a fresh look. Had a consultation with Michelle (who is so awesome by the way), and she helped me find a style that would suit me. Came back in today for my actual appointment and WOW! I love my new hairstyle and I can tell that Michelle has a passion for this! She was very informative and exact with my hair. I felt well taken care of and highly recommended checking The Organic Salon out! Price came out to $265 for a cut and color (tip included in that price). Way worth the money and time. Definitely will be coming back!

This place is amazing! I have somewhat curly straight finicky hair and both Michelle and Taylor have worked wonders on it! They both take time to understand your hair concerns, goals, lifestyle, and preferred styling habits before creating a plan for cutting/coloring. I have always left happy and a little more educated on how to take care of my hair better!
