me and my boyfriend visited the Phoenician Spa Wednesday, November 6th. We had an 80 minutes couple massage. Drove over an hour drive, to leave with back pain still worse than before coming in and burns on my hand from the oil or spa /sauna room. After the the massage we did an hour at the hot tub sauna and Steam room. Wasn’t the experience we were hoping for. I have had many massages before and never had anything like this on the back of my hands when I left.

The front desk lady told us to wait for someone to come and get us for the massage. We waited for 15 minutes and I finally asked her how much longer do we have to wait and she was so confused who I was and I had to tell her we already checked in and you told us to wait. Then she finally took us to the locker room and the massage lady said since we are late she’s cutting our time to 20 minutes even though it’s the front desk lady that forgot about us and let us just stand there for 15 minutes. Really frustrating and I couldn’t relax for that mini massage. They didn’t want to rebook us because they had a busy day. Honestly for such a “nice and expensive place” they should treat their guest a little better.

I had Gary for my artisan massage. The guy had 24 years experience and it showed! Excellent massage and knowledge of muscle groups which maximized my experience and relaxation. Gary was an excellent representation of professionalism and class and exactly what you would hope to experience on a visit to the phonecian spa.

The Phoenician spa experience was not a luxury experience. The spa service was subpar at the front desk and at the rooftop pool. The facility was exquisite but the amenities were lacking. For the price, you should receive complimentary tea and champagne. You will only receive water and jars of trail mix and chocolate covered candy. There was no fruit, dried or fresh and nothing small to snack on. Every beverage is served in plastic cups you could get from Costco. There was not stemmed plasticware or other faux glassware. The food is below average and you will be charged if you switch out red salsa for green. Gary was an excellent service provider, the massage was superb! The women's locker attendant was also great! The rooftop pool was not impressive. The furniture was old and the table was damage causing my drink to spill. When I requested a new table, the attendant pushed a new one in front of the damage one. The other attendant provided water with the plastic cups on top of the ice. He did not pour the water. Again, not a luxury experience.

The property is beautiful and the spa is very clean and the amenities are great. The views of the mountains were stunning. I did the relief spa with a scalp massage add on and the massage was one of the best ones I have had. However, I feel like the concierge/ front desk people were not very friendly. The service at the rooftop pool could have been better, and some of the tables were broken near the lounge chairs. The pool area looks kind of tired and it could use some revamping. The servers did not have any attention to detail and took a while to bring drinks, they also did not pour the water. The food wasn’t great by the pool either. For this spa to be considered “luxury”, and for the prices that guests are paying, the service all around should have been top notch. Unfortunately, this was not a five star experience like it was advertised to be.

This was a truly outstanding spa, in every sense of the word. It was as if every moment was tailored to giving you the best experience possible, and the massage and facial I got were the best I ever had. The providers were professional and committed to your relaxation instead of making you make small talk, which I appreciate. It felt like a very upscale experience. Come early to enjoy the rooftop pool and the hot tub. Absolutely recommend.

I do not write reviews and felt I should. I tried to plan everything in advance to make my husbands birthday amazing with a two hour couples massage. We get there and it is very difficult to find with no directions given (plan ahead), they put a service fee on bill before treatment and ask for tip, the locker attendants do not speak english which made it difficult to ask for what we needed, and then we go to get our treatments and they don't have us as a couples massage. Everything I did to plan a special event they didn't listen to. Yes a manager came out and tried to accommodate the couples room, but by then i was so upset that relaxing was the last thing I would be able to do. They may be good for a quick massage but for a resort and the price they charge their staff friendliness, and lack of service follow through was horrible. Go to another resort...there are so many far better in Scottsdale! Think twice before booking. I will never be back!

I love Spa's and this one did not disappoint! My massage was fantastic with Gary. He was probably one of the best massage therapists I have ever had. The staff throughout the spa were amazing. The Spa amenities were well kept. Pool, saunas...an amazing experience.

Like others have said, it’s just ok. Yes it’s been refreshed but it’s missing the lux that you expect from a 5 star resort spa. Examples, the rooftop pool is just a pool and cabanas, zero landscaping or personality. The shower areas have nice fixtures but they’re loose and temperamental, and have mold around the handles and in the corners. The staff are very friendly but the massage is basic and unmemorable. I was hoping it would be more on par with Well and Being but unfortunately it’s just not there.

I came here with my girlfriend after being sold on everything we saw online; we both opted for the Fire & Ice massage and it was truly such an amazing experience. My masseur was Anthony and he was one of the best I’ve had in this lifetime, he was very respectful, well-mannered, and gave a 10/10 massage. If you plan on coming here, definitely do it, there’s truly no experience quite like the Phoenician Spa & definitely look out for Anthony! Definitely plan on revisiting if I’m back in town!

I love that this was my first spa experience! Taryn was delightfully helpful and I am amazed with the customer service! During my massage I was relaxed, comfortable and treated with respect. I cried during my massage as my experience was spiritual and divine. I loved every moment at Phoenician!

I had the pleasure of having my first ever spa experience here. Debbie was my masseuse and she did amazing! She made me feel very comfortable and walked me through everything. I walked out of my massage feeling like a new woman, physically and mentally. The amenities are lovely, especially the quiet room that’s stocked with yummy snacks and tea. I’m already trying to plan out when I can return!

Just had two services during my recent stay. Since it's mid June, the spa was minimally busy. Check in went smooth, and an attendant came to tour me the locker room. Plusses: Gender specific sauna/steam/jacuzzi; rooftop pool lovely; food & drink available; relaxation room was quiet, and through another door more private seating; my therapists were amazing, body & soul massage with (i probably won't get spelling quite right) Inora & a Phoenix Rising scrub with Michael. The rooms were also nice, low lighting, felt warm and inviting. Our benchmark for spas is L'Eau Palm Beach & Resort, where after check in you are greeted immediately by an attendant assigned to your party, and offered a glass of champagne while you tour the facility. I can also see how in high season this spa could be crazy busy, pool filled with folks as others have commented. Bottom line, I'd book services again here when I'm in town but stay off property.

I had a truly blissful experience at the Spa at the Phoenician. I highly recommend Tess! Book her for your next massage and you won’t be disappointed. I would give her 10 stars if I could. She was attentive, and provided the perfect 80-minute massage. I have had a lot of massages, and I can sincerely say she was one of the best. I wish I lived in the area so I could make it a regular part of my self-care. In addition, the spa is well equipped and beautiful. The rooftop pool is a must either before or after treatments, so be sure to enjoy all the amenities. The staff is so kind and helpful. We will be back for a repeat. Thank you so much!

I must say this has to be HAS down the best spa place in Arizona . If you are in Arizona want to come with your partner or family or even solo this is the place . It’s relaxing and the staff pleases your needs . You pay for the experience and self care of harmony and peace ! I love traveling and enjoy a good spa . Definitely put it on the bucket list when visiting Arizona 😊.

I wanted to book a couple of spa services for me and my mom and The Phoenician had some of the best reviews. This place gets booked really fast but I was able to find something that worked for us. Upon arrival, we navigated to a free parking garage and made a short walk to the spa. We were the first to arrive but before we were called for our 1st service, the waiting area was full! We both had the Fire and Ice Massage and a Facial. My massage was fine but it wasn’t special considering the price that I paid. My mom really enjoyed hers. For the facials, I really enjoyed mine but my mom not so much. Overall it was an okay experience but I think there’s better bang for my buck elsewhere.

Booked this appointment 2 months in advance. Their website to book the massages is not user-friendly at all. Took me several attempts to try to book services for 2 people. Booked the appt first thing in the morning. Upon arrival, shocked to see 15 people standing outside for the doors to even open. Once the doors opened, they ushered everyone to the front desk. The wait was up to 10 minutes to check in. The herding continued into the locker room to get undressed. Too many people at once caused an overlap and everyone on top of each other. It is very uncomfortable trying to get undressed with 3 stranges within 6 inches of you. I had to keep moving to the side to give others personal space. For a spa of this level and pricing, that is unfortunate. The waiting area was tranquil and nice. My masseuse came to greet me and whisked me away to our suite. The massage was fantastic. It was the best part of the experience. The final part of our stay was to go to the pool area for the day. The place was packed. People had claimed chairs when they weren't even there. They had left their towels and gone to get services. There were 2 servers to the entire area and long wait times. Overall: the pricing and reputation was an overall disappointment to my experience. Maybe I would comeback on a slower day to give it a second chance.

Tried to book with Julie she seemed a bit impatient. Called back 10+ times to book for a small group and she never picked the phone back up. We decided to book elsewhere.
