Writing this review as we leave before our session time has ended, a YMCA membership is more worth your time and money. These tubs are refilled every three weeks and HEAVILY chlorinated. Our skin was itching after 20 minutes. The private tub had chunks of skin and lots of body hair in it. The desk person said they “inspect it for cleanliness” but they do not have high standards in my opinion as a person who has worked in spas for three years. This feels the same as a ymca hot tub at the pool. So so so much chlorine. *edited 30 min after leaving our skin is dry, tight, flakey, and my partner is breaking out. They have an allergy to chlorine. There is no mention of these pools being chlorinated in the website. Kindly, they have a non-binary locker room option equipped with no shower or lockers. It is the handicap bathroom and your stuff just goes behind the desk for the staff to pick through. It was humiliating to be offered this as the option. Would prefer to be forced to use the binary gendered facilities. DO NOT GO HERE. IT IS NOT GOOD FOR YOUR SKIN.

I have been going to The Remedy for a few years now, but I wanted to leave a review to shout out Tess and Chris. They both went the extra mile to make sure I got a satisfactory resolution after an issue with a product purchase. They both made sure everything was handled quickly and professionally, and I am happy with how everything turned out! As for the spa, it is a real gem tucked into the University neighborhood. The spa membership is a great deal, the staff are so sweet and always make me feel special! I love getting facials and lash lifts from Emily, massages from Elaina, and relaxing in the hot tubs! I can only speak for myself, but as a queer person I have always felt very welcomed, affirmed, and supported by all the staff I have come into contact with. Highly recommend :)

This place is lovely. Chris’ customer service was stellar and made it a wonderful experience. The vibe of the hot tubs was amazing as well. Def gonna be back!

I decided to book a last-minute and I’m so glad I did. The staff was amazing—especially the gentleman at the front desk, who was so friendly. The private soak was fantastic, and we both had a great time. My boyfriend isn’t usually into these types of experiences, but he said he’d definitely come back! We both really enjoyed it, and I’m already planning to book a couples massage next. Can’t wait! Perfect place to relax!

This is my favorite day spa in town. Serene atmosphere, not pretentious, it’s in the middle of a neighborhood and has a beautiful small outdoor oasis you can utilize after treatment to soak in their lovely hot tub. Today I lucked out and got to soak with snow lightly falling around me, which was so peaceful. You can rent private tubs which are lovely, and they also have a small above ground pool in this space, which is honestly my favorite thing — not aesthetic but an effective cold plunge which is so fabulous to be able to take advantage of. Today the pool was iced over! I plunged anyway! 🥶 Sydnee is an amazing massage therapist — she’s very skilled, makes me feel comfortable, and always caters the treatment to exactly what my body needs based on my feedback. I’ve requested her multiple times and will continue to do so because her treatments leave me feeling so great. Highly recommend Sydnee and this day spa in general 💖

From making my reservation, to the initial walkthrough until the end of our stay the service was top notch. The private tubs are awesome and the cold plunge is actually pretty darn cold. Thanks for having us!

Locally owned, good service, relaxing ambience. Very well maintained, I've had a few massages here, and used hot/cold tubs, and this is a nice getaway from everyday life in a convenient location.

This place pulled off a miracle for my friend! It was the day before her wedding and another place had accidentally canceled her spa day. They made a massage available last minute (during Balloon Fiesta!), and I was able to pay over the phone so she wouldn't have to lift a finger when she arrived. The bride's first comment after returning from the Remedy Day Spa was "I was so relaxed I was drooling off the table." It was exactly was she needed and ensured she had a great wedding day. Thanks again for the excellent service!

So I loved the private jacuzzi. When it came to the cold plunge it was not covered and clean. Tons of floating leaves stuff at bottom of small bath. That feels dirty to me. I tried cleaning it but the thought why they don’t I care I dont!

Update: I have been contacted and they offered to “remedy” a few of my concerns. I appreciate the effort and will give them another shot. I have been going to Remedy Day Spa for over five years, but this was my last time. 1. Back when I started going here, the amenities were available to everyone who had a massage booked (sauna, hot tub, cold plunge) but they have slowly been taking those away and making you pay extra. This time was the last straw when the sauna said it was no longer in order, but you could book a session in the IR sauna for an extra charge 👎🏼 This was not mentioned on their website. I then tried using the hot tub which was lukewarm at best. The jets wouldn’t work and it wouldn’t heat up. 2. Disappointed, I rinse off and go wait for my massage therapist only to have her be five minutes late. That alone didn’t bother me, except she didn’t extend my massage time accordingly. If I am paying for a 60 minutes massage and you are late, I still expect a 60 minute massage. 3. The main reason I went was to have a specific part of my back worked on that had been bothering me. I asked the massage therapist to work on that area for most of the time. They spent maybe an additional 2-3 minutes on the area, but it hardly noticeable. When it was over, I felt about the same as I had before, as if it wasn’t worked on at all. Overall, I walked away feeling very frustrated which is the last thing you want when you leave a spa. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I left a review through an email survey I was sent as well as a text survey I was sent first, but no one has contacted me about it so I felt I needed to post here to warn people of the lowering quality of this place.

Wonderful treat while visiting Albuquerque - highly recommend. Massage with trainee Abby better than many masseuses who are fully graduated. Peaceful garden and hot tub.

I used the infrared sauna and when I got in it wasn't even 100°. I ended up spending 30 minutes in there before it got warm. I cant believe I wasted money on this.

I have had a membership at Remedy for two years now and recommend it to friends constantly. I love my monthly massages with Eugenie and occasional facials with Adriana - and my reminder calls from Chris! It's a lovely and relaxing spa with consistently excellent service.

This is my all time favorite spa, I come here with my mom whenever we can make it happen. From facials to massages to the more luxury spa treatments (I love the desert quench-a unique full body experience with warm water sprays, massage, and Shea butter wrap,) every service I have had done here has been amazing. The front desk staff are so nice and welcoming and have the most friendly energy. I’m sitting here after a treatment waiting for my mom to finish as I write this, drinking the complementary herbal tea and enjoying the peace this spa has to offer. If you want to treat yourself, definitely come here!
