My experience with Dr. Emily McLaughlin and her staff has been amazing. I met them when my dear friend Kelly recommended I attend a meet and greet event. I was able to speak with all of the staff and enjoyed learning about Dr Emily’s surgical/procedures available along with her line of gorgeous skin care products. I immediately felt like I would be in good hands. I'm still greeted each visit with a lovely piece of chocolate & a hello from the staff. West Magnolia plastic surgery and “The Retreat” Med Spa is my favorite place to go for some “me” time. The nurses/medical assistants and technicians are just as pleasant and compassionate as Dr. McLaughlin. Her staff is well educated and quite talented in each of their specialties. Dr. McLaughlin has a great staff and that combination works! Dr. Emily is an extraordinary Plastic surgeon and speaks to you with honest clarity, backed up with the many years of her experience, you can rest assured your questions have been answered and you will learn to have realistic expectations. She will guide you and advise surgical procedure that would work best for each individual client. She takes the time to pay attention & listen patiently to all my concerns. She is my number one Plastic Surgeon. Huge shout out to Melissa! She is a true artist and helped me feel and look a touch younger. The combination of Dysport and fillers she recommended was a tiny bit of magic because I immediately felt younger, more confident and refreshed. Kelsey is an amazing aesthetician and I have received several different facials and laser treatments from her. I feel wonderfully pampered and well taken care of. I have had 2 surgical procedures with Dr Emily and I’m lucky and grateful to my friend Kelly for recommending West Magnolia Plastic Surgery and Med Spa. Dr. McLaughlin has chosen a lovely caring and attendant staff and I really appreciate the fact that I receive appropriate time with every visit. I always say I’m not trying to look younger, I just DON’T want to look older! Can’t wait for my next visit….

My skin has never felt or looked better! The Moxi treatment I received at The Retreat Medical Spa was everything I hoped for and more. Kelsey was very gentle, explained every nuance of the treatment , checked on me the very next day, and basically made this the BEST spa treatment experience I have ever had. I drove from Dallas where there are loads of medical spas, and I will continue to make that 50 mile drive to see Kelsey because it was absolutely worth it! My skin is smoother, my dark areas are completely lighter, and there was no down time at all ( like in the past when I had acid peels or HALO). Best medical spa ever!

Dr. McLaughlin is a very special doctor. In your lifetime you will meet doctors who just want your money. Who only look for what they can change and get out of you and Dr. McLaughlin is the exact opposite. I went to her especially because of the picture she had on a website I was doing research on it is called realself.com. Every single doctor on that website had a picture with a suit on that seemed very impersonal to me and if someone is going to be dealing with my face I can not have that. Therefore, when I saw Dr. McLaughlin's profile I immediately got in contact with her office. Turns out she worked with an old doctor of mine from when I was a little squirt. She is an insane talent in her field and I think she is still very under appreciated for all she currently does and has done. For anyone, considering Dr. McLaughlin, I strongly advise you to do research on her as it will cement your choice to pick her as your doctor. Her story is a story of strength and perseverance. Doctor's like her come once in a lifetime, so really look no further. Dr. McLaughlin has a customer in me for the rest of my life. What she has done for me goes beyond. If you are considering her, at least have a consultation, I am sure you will find what you are looking for. P.S. These are my personal thoughts and I am just sharing my experience with Dr. McLaughlin. I pay for every procedure with my own hard earned money, so I wouldn't say this if I didn't truly think it. I had put off writing a review because I wanted to do it in an informed manner and make sure I was not speaking out of term. I am not endorsing plastic surgery nor encouraging it, but if you are considering it, it is of utmost importance you have an honest and caring doctor. Love my year-and-a-half of facials here, a once-a-month insurance plan for looking my best. Kersten and Amber have been here all along, even through COVID--so other people must think so, too. They've been careful and conscientious throughout--so call ahead, wear a mask inside to start, and expect to relax and feel better than you did when you arrived.

First time at The Retreat On West Magnolia, and it was amazing! The staff was friendly and welcoming! Amber talked me through all the steps of my facial (dermaplaning), and made sure I was comfortable throughout my experience. I mentioned my skin concerns and was given tips and advice on skin treatments for the future. She was great from start to finish. I definitely will be returning!
