Alex is a super skillful and detail-oriented hair stylist that keeps the integrity and health of your hair as the first priority, which brings the best results! He listens to my needs and makes suggestions based on what I want. I always leave the salon super happy and satisfied. The products they use smell and make my hair feel amazing, and just being in this salon feels like being at a spa/ it’s a therapeutic experience.

Alex is the BEST colorist I know. I was apprehensive about trying someone new when I moved to Miami 2 years ago (having lived in DC for 10 years and being dedicated to my colorist there), but I took a risk and tried Alex. It’s the best color I’ve ever had! He is truly talented and far succeeded my prior hair colorist. I also love how he incorporates wellness into your experience- he is very client oriented and it shows. Services received: partial coloring/balayage + hair cut. Products are clean too and I swear by the glossy nectar hair oil by O Way. Thank you Alex for all you do to make me look fabulous every visit and for your artistic talent when it comes to hair coloring!

Alex has been an AMAZING hairstylist since I started going to this salon in December of 2022. He brought life back to my bleached blonde hair with the holistic and natural products they use in the salon. My blonde now stays shiny and healthy looking right up to my next appointment. Alex is hands down the best hairstylist I’ve ever met! I always leave feeling good and fresh!! His technique & holistic approach is one I will never forget!! I have been going to see Alex for about two years. I had never dyed my hair before when I went to see him, but grey coverage was becoming necessary. Alex uses his expertise to give me low maintenance highlights and grey coverage that only needs minimal care and touch up. This in combination with the organic products they use keeps my hair healthy with very low exposure to chemicals. I even went to see him once while I was pregnant. I highly recommend this salon for anyone who is conscientious about their health and looking for the most natural treatments possible.

My hair suddenly became really heavy and dull , I tried a bunch of different shampoos but nothing was really working. I came to Alex and we did a detox scalp treatment plus another treatment he suggested. Its like my hair came back to life! He explained what was causing the problem, gave me some great organic products to keep using and my hair is finally back! I cant recommend him enough. Plus the energy of the place is beautiful and so is his! ✨✨✨

Very zen place owner giver personal attention to all :) honestly maybe it’s me but the prices are just going up and up for everything it feels hair services are getting more luxury then necessity:) overall great experience I didn’t do anything drastic very basic blow dry but overall the place is nice

I've been going to this salon for a few years now. It has such a great vibe and team. Their new location in mimo is awesome! Super cool spot! Danielle always does an amazing job with my haircuts, at this point I don't even tell her what I like, I let her do whatever feels will work best. I have also had my haircut by Alex, and he's also awesome. I HIGHY recommend this salon. Best of the Best!

Thank you so much Danielle. I was looking into hair salons that would allow a walk-in when I first found Danielle. I called a lot of places but ultimately Danielle’s customer service right from the beginning immediately drew me in. Unlike all other hair stylists I’ve been with, she instantly gave me reassurance and made feel comfortable, from just a phone call! When I went to Root and Bark, I fell in love with the wholesome, organic, clean and beautiful vibe. Danielle was welcoming and wonderful. She took the time to see what I wanted, which in my first appointment were curtain bangs. She took into consideration the way my hair naturally falls, and really showed attention to detail. I loved the cut and the way my hair blended perfectly with the bangs. I received compliments from Day 1. Meeting her and seeing how much time and effort she gave me and my hair, I finally felt like I found my lifetime hair stylist! I had been wanting to lighten my hair for many years, but was very afraid due to negative experiences in the past. I booked my second appointment for a consult with Danielle and was super excited! She took a look at all the pictures I showed her, and she gave me her honest feedback. My hair is naturally black (in the sun, it casts shades of blue with how dark it is) and I wanted to go for a rich, brown with red tones. I really try to prioritize hair health, so when Danielle told me that we could reach the color without bleach, I was very pleased. It was such an amazing experience - all from the beginning with aromatherapy, to the coloring, and cutting, all to the end. My hair came out to a beautiful color and my cut is exactly what I wanted. The entire time, I felt comfortable and at peace, which is very different than the times I have sat anxiously in other salons. I felt like family/friend rather than just a customer. Words really can’t express how thankful I am for Danielle. Danielle, thank you so much for who you are as a hair stylist and as a person! I appreciate and am grateful with how special this experience felt. I’m so excited for all my future hair colorings and haircuts in the future.
