Yvonne is the best. She is very personable and engaging. Very few have her experience and I've been seeing her off and on for almost 30 years now (she's moved away and returned several times) My hair is not easy to cut, as flaws are apparent readily if not cut just right. I have dead straight hair, and it is coarse. My hair has started to thin a bit and is recededing, too 😕 😆 Highly recommended for hair cuts I've not used other services. Ask for Yvonne, you won't be disappointed 😉

I would not recommend this place at all. I called for a quote. Told them exactly what I wanted and knew the price may change slightly once I got there, but I did not think it would change by $200 plus. The stylist Heather kept telling me the guy, Matthew That gave me the initial quote doesn’t know what he’s talking about which doesn’t make sense to me because I don’t understand why they would let somebody like that. Talk to clients if they don’t know what they’re talking about. This place is completely unprofessional and in my opinion con artist. I would give zero stars if that was an option

Customer service great at the front desk, that's the reason for the 2 stars. $150 for a child is insane. I was charged a detangling fee- her hair is curly not tangled! Upcharge again for a trim, please see the photo, her hair is still uneven! Appt started nearly an hour late and the stylist had to rush at the end because the store was closing.

First time going to the salon inside JCPenny. Went as walk in and Moira was appointed to me. She’s very communicative and experienced. I brought reference picture and Moira checked with me every step of the way. The haircut turn out better than I’d imagine and I would definitely go back to Moira in the future.

I will take the day off, just so Moira can do my hair. She is the best, adept with any type of hair to optimize your look and make you feel like $1000000. Moira is the only one who keeps this place afloat.

Moira is amazing! She is very experienced and communicates well during the process. I have had my share of poor experiences from this location but it really does matter who you ask for. The ladies at the front desk are also very helpful every time I go in. 🙂

Avoid this place at all costs. Made an appointment in advance for my daughter to get a cut and highlights. They called me 30 mins prior to her appointment to tell me they need to reschedule because the stylist called in. Was able to work something out then Heather tells her no she can't do it after the GM told me they found a solution. Complete unprofessionalism by Jesse, Tammy , Heather and the stylist that apparently called in. Will not ever be back.

LOVE this salon! The stylists are constantly trained on new techniques and always deliver excellent customer service. My stylist, Moira, was amazing. She took the time to educate me on the style I requested, and offered tips on hair care. Even though I have been getting chemical treatments for years, she had insights I had never considered. Furthermore,, Moira was a great conversationalist and amazing at color (including fantasy colors). Her skills are amazing and current - my ombré never looked so good (sooo many compliments)! JC Penney salon will always make sure I am happy with my results - they do not argue or give attitude. True professionals. I highly recommend!

My daughter and I were treated well during our visit. The stylists are upfront and to the point. We spent a big amount of time here. The vibe was great among the stylists. I highly recommend.

It is difficult to find a salon open on a Monday (untapped market if you ask me), so thought I would try out Rolling Oaks Mall at JCPenny since I live in the area. Arrived early and waited at cashier counter for over 5 minutes. Started walking towards back saying hello. Noticed a woman asleep in chair. Finally, a lady appears. She wakes up Veronica. Veronica is to wash my hair and blow dry it with a roller brush. I am willing to pay for this service when I have special events, as the salon can do it better than me. NOT in this case!!!! I find out Veronica has been doing this type of job 20 years!!! She is pleasant, but has limited English. This work is repetitive, so would think both her language proficiency and skill would be better. Perhaps she has potential in both with training. The wash was not good. Back of head and under neck not done hardly at all. Rinsing was not thorough. Water went down my ears and neck. She put some kind of product in my hair before drying. When she finished, my hair looked wet and greasy. I tried to communicate my disappointment, but she asked her colleague to translate. Veronica blowed dried my hair some more, thinking that would help. IT DIDN'T. I was going to go home and start over, but was under a time crunch. Am so glad I wasn't getting a cut or color. I couldn't tell if Veronica's hair was supposed to be purple blue in color, or was a mistake. Her colleague's hair was a disaster in style and color as well. These women are mature, and I would expect a hair dresser's hair to be well done and professional looking for this type of job, not an after thought, experiment, or "let go". There were certainly a lot of chairs in this salon, but almost no customers. A third lady, young, came to do the cash register. Her customer service was a bit lacking. Her style was so distracting and unbecoming that it was difficult not to stare. In my opinion, this salon needs a makeover in every sense.

If you're unsure about the look you want, not sure what you want done to your hair. It is definitely worth it to schedule a consultation with the stylist. They were accommodating, patient and knowledgeable. From cut to color Leticia nailed it. The result, one happy customer and loyal patron. Thanks again!

My sister took my nephew here to get his hair done back to school. This lady butchered his hair and for a child that is 10 kids are mean enough already to kids that have decent haircuts. Don't know her name but she was an old lady that couldn't speak English. Perhaps she's too old and needs to let someone younger and better take over.If anyone is looking to humiliate and punish their child take them here and ask for that lady
