I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Stella for an all-over head platinum highlight, root tap, volume curled blow dry, and layered cut—and let me just say, I have never felt this good about myself in a really long time. From the moment I sat down in her chair, Stella made me feel completely at ease. She took the time to really listen to what I wanted and executed it perfectly. The highlights are just gorgeous—bright but natural, and the root tap gives it such a seamless, dimensional look. The layered cut is so flattering and gives my hair so much movement. And don’t even get me started on the blow dry—my hair has never looked so full and voluminous! Stella’s attention to detail and expert technique completely transformed my hair, and I truly feel like a new person. It’s so refreshing to leave a salon feeling not only pampered but completely confident. If you’re looking for a stylist who knows exactly what they’re doing, is super talented, and genuinely cares about making you feel amazing, I cannot recommend Stella enough. You MUST go see her, she’s an absolute gem!

I wanted a new style for the New Year so I came in the last Saturday of 2024. My hair stylist Riley Reagan was awesome! She was full of knowledge and enlightenment me. I love how she did my hair cut and styled it! I would definitely recommend her. This is place is clean and professional.

Absolutely the most unprofessional place! Worst experience! Groups of moody 20 something’s standing around unable to take a client. I scheduled a simple deep condition treatment with hair cut and was sent away twice because they didn’t have someone available. While I saw groups of woman dressed in all black were standing around talking to each other, leaning on counters and scrolling on cell phones. Clearly they’d rather work on manikins and each other than actually perform public service. I recommend the administration give front desk service performance evaluations and proper training. I won’t be back and I I recommend that anyone who values their time choose another option. Some things are worth paying extra for!

I came in for a color service and ended up going with highlights. I have short hair so I didn't think it would take too long. I agree with someone else that said one of the instructors is rude and makes the environment uncomfortable. Instead of taking in what the client wants it's more of her opinion and what she thinks it's best. Understandable that this is a school and the students are learning so providing these services are not a guarantee of what I might want. However, communication was poor from the student to the instructor. I was not told the full breakdown of coloring to toning and to other things the student did to my hair and the cost of it. I have short hair and on the website starting prices say $85. Well, had I not asked a price breakdown from the receptionist at the end of the service ! would have not known why I was paying an outrageous amount at a school. At the end of the service, I did not get any product recommendations on maintaining my hair color or care. I originally just wanted highlights and I ended up paying more than what I had expected which was $215. I was clearly blinded and felt robbed coming here and will not be returning. Be aware of coming to this place because you will be charged extra for things you expect to be already included in the service.

If you want to book a facial, book one with Dominique! I had a facial, red light and high frequency done by Dominique. It was so relaxing, and it was nice how she would tell me what she was doing next and explain the benefits of each service I had. I will be booking again.

It was my first time visiting the Salon Professional and I had a facial with Dani. My experience was lovely and relaxing. Dani spent time discussing my sensitive skin and psoriasis before beginning the ultra calming facial. I really enjoyed exploring the facility and it seems like a great place for estheticians to learn. I will be trying waxing later this week!

Haley made me so comfortable and relaxed while she worked on my hair. I almost fell asleep when she was rinsing the dye out lol. She's so bright and cheerful! I want her to work on my hair again.

I was really excited to start my hair color journey here, aiming to achieve the perfect red. My first session went great, and I was informed that I would need another session to get the vibrant red I wanted. I completely understood and was fine with that. However, when I checked out after the first session, the front desk coordinator confirmed I was scheduled for Friday at 12 pm. On Friday morning, I called to confirm my appointment and was surprised to learn I wasn’t on the schedule at all. Worse, the entire day was booked. They apologized for the miscommunication, but if they were truly sorry, they would have found a way to fit me in for at least a quick toning session to stay on track. This showed a lack of professionalism and organization. Beware—if you need multiple sessions, don’t expect them to honor your appointment or take responsibility for their scheduling mistakes. Very disappointing experience!

I booked a hair appointment with Maya (her Instagram is Maya_does_hair) & she absolutely killed it! I am so in love with the end result! I have long, thick hair and was in desperate need of a trim, so I booked with her. She asked me how much I wanted to take off at the ends, and also gave me recommendations on face framing as well as if I wanted a straight cut or rounded cut. Such a lovely experience, I def plan on booking with her again 🥰

I recently went there for a facial and leg waxing. The experience was incredible! I was given a tour on where specific locations were and then led to an esti room for services. The facial was a hypnotizing experience from Destiny :) i highly reccommend her!

they’re students at the end of the day. the pricing is cheap compared to the salon, but i haven’t been impressed with the quality, so i won’t be returning. you get what you pay for. i came on two instances 1) blow drying hair took over an hour and it was so frizzy. i can do my own blowout in 20 minutes and make my hair smooth and straight 2) brazilian blowout didn’t even last 3 weeks time is money, and i don’t find it worth it to save when it comes to my hair the positive is that the students are nice and kind to chat with but that’s about it

Alyssa did my hair and she was AMAZING! I had a horrible haircut from a different salon and I always get a great haircut at the Salon Professional Academy. I was lucky enough to get Alyssa and she gave me the cutest pixie that fit my face shape perfectly. I'll only come here for haircuts from now on

If you're in the San Jose area and looking for a haircut, I recommend calling ahead and requesting Samantha S. She showcases her impressive styles on social media, particularly for women. Additionally, she's adept at cutting men's hair as well. I look forward to returning soon!

It had been quite some time when I last had my haircut last August due to a bad experience somewhere else. Alyssa was very professional, cordial, and had very confident hands when cutting! This isn’t my first time at TSPA and every time I get my hair done, it always ends up beautiful. I trust every stylist there with my hair because they always do well. Samantha our stylist is awesome! She did my balayage in October and it came out so nice, I always got compliments on my hair. My daughter and nice also got great haircuts from her. I just went back to her a few days ago for another haircut with layers and I love my hair! You can tell she loves doing hair. She is so great!

This review is specifically for the very RUDE and unprofessional FRONT DESK person. I had scheduled a blow dry and deep conditioning treatment for 10:30 AM and made sure to arrive on time. I did the paperwork and after waiting for 15 minutes without any communication, I was informed that there were student no-shows, and I would need to wait an additional 30 minutes or reschedule for 2:00 PM. The way this information was conveyed to me was shockingly rude and lacking in basic courtesy. When I suggested that they should inform clients earlier to prevent wasted trips in the future, the response I received was dismissive and uncaring: "I get it, but everyone drives." This lack of consideration for my time and the dismissive attitude were deeply disappointing. As a paying customer, I expect professionalism and respect from the front desk staff. Instead, I felt incredibly unwelcome and undervalued by their demeanor. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, such as student absences, but there is no excuse for the rude and unprofessional manner in which it was handled. I sincerely hope that management addresses this issue to ensure a more respectful and customer-oriented experience for all clients in the future.

Worst hair cut experience of my life. Took her one hour to only wash/condition and brush my hair. She said it would take another 2.5 hours for the haircut. Highly unprofessional. Never going or recommending anyone. When I told them that I wasn’t satisfied and wanted some other hairstylist to do my hair. I was asked to leave the place cuz they couldn’t change the hairstylist. Very rude staff

I had the most amazing Classic facial with Gua Sha. Kalei who preformed my facial was kind, professional with flawless technique. I left l feeling fabulous. Today is the day after & my skin is looking lovely & dewy. I highly recommend booking your treatment with Kalei!
