I rarely leave reviews, but this one truly deserves it! I have straight, long, and very voluminous hair. Recently, I got a haircut in New Jersey that was supposed to be simple, but it turned out to be a disappointment. The stylist gave me a horrible fringe that made it impossible to wear my hair down. Then, a friend recommended Rogério Cavalcante, saying he might be able to "fix" my hair. And thank God, I decided to trust him! He not only corrected the cut but did an incredible job. I absolutely loved the result and finally felt confident wearing my hair down again! Thank you, Rogério! You’re an exceptional professional! I can’t wait to visit you again soon. 🙌✨

Rogerio is the best colourist! He does my hair for over 5 years since I moved to NYC and I absolutely love it. He does magic! I also love the whole team at The Second Floor. It is always a super pleasant experience!!

I had a wonderful experience here. Everyone at the salon is super nice and it feels like a personal experience and that you’re not just one of many. Rogerio listened to me about what I needed from my hair (very low maintenance) and he gave me his suggestions, which I happily accepted and my hair feels fresh. I am very happy with my experience and will definitely be back. I have not had my hair colored here but when I decide to I will go to him as well!

I can’t say enough about The Second Floor. Having just moved to NY, Rogerio was highly recommended by a friend. The entire staff is so warm and accommodating. And most importantly- Rogerio’s work is incredible. I have very dark hair which can be a bit tricky with highlights. I couldn’t believe how perfectly he nailed my color from the very first visit- blonder, warm, dimension without any red tones. The best in NYC!

I’ve been Rogerio’s client for a while and when he opened his own Salon was more than thrilled! First I was very happy for him, but mostly because his place was meticulously thought and it’s like a sanctuary for your hair. The place is never crowded or overwhelming, delicious tea, wonderful products for your hair, staff is the best and Rogerio is a magician 🤩 Seriously, he listens to you and creates a better version for your hair. EVERYWHERE I go I get compliments. My routine? Every 3 months for a cut and deep conditioning. Once a year highlights. It lasts for months with the proper care. Book an appointment. Look no further.

Rogerio cavalcante is definitely the best hair dresser /color artist I have ever worked with. I went from doing blonde with him for over 5 years… to now dying my hair red and don’t think I would be able to do those drastic changes if it wasn’t for a diligent hairdresser, who cared about the health of my hair so deeply. Not only does he care about the health of my hair, but also the style and is always honest and transparent with what he can do and what the outcome will be. No matter where I move in the world I definitely think I would have to fly to second floor salon to continue my hair journey.
