Jamal was fantastic! I have a lot of stress build up in my upper back / shoulders and he really took time to focus on alleviating those knots and relaxing places that hold tension. Will definitely be back!

Everything about the experience, from booking to check-out, was friendly, easy, and stress-free. In my day job, I work with individuals and organizations to help them be trauma-informed. My massage with Jamel was spectacular and trauma-informed (so much so it could be taught in training and was therapeutic). He explained every step of the process, repeatedly checked in about consent, and integrated breathing practices. It was excellent. I binged and did an sauna blanket and Lymphatic massage with Tera and noticably my waist is 2 inches smaller and feelings of bloat are gone. Finally,my facial with Raquel Mixon, the owner, was also exceptional—weaving traditional practices with modern technology! She also went above and beyond to make sure my day was special (I was celebrating my birthday). I will be returning!

Tera was great to work with. She was very sweet and accommodating. She took the time to explain the process of a lymphatic drainage massage and sauna blanket as it was my first time for both and checked in with me throughout the process. I really enjoyed my experience and plan to go back again.

Treatment: Sauna Blanket + Lymphatic Drainage Practitioner: Tera Highlights: Welcoming, knowledgeable, committed to meeting the needs of the client and provided excellent customer experience. A day of firsts! First visit to the lounge, first time with Tera and a first with this type of treatment. And, I already scheduled my next appointment! At jump, Tera made me feel at ease. She talked me through each step of the process with details on what we were doing along with the benefits. This treatment is intended to work your body to clear toxins, which isn’t always relaxing. However, I understood the process to reach our goals…and Tera was checking in throughout. Also, she gives a great pep-talk! She had a good sense of what my body needed, which sparked a shift from the suction to a manual drainage massage method. She really went above and beyond to create a future treatment plan that works for me. To be clear Tera and the service gets 5 stars! Perhaps at the end of each treatment, the client can be brought to a chair in main space where a cup of water and tablet are waiting. The client can hydrate while filling out a very short Google Survey (booking, atmosphere, treatment, practitioner and recommendation section). I would have recommended: Signage in each room by the chair where clients put their clothing: “Phones, off. Relaxation, on. Time to prioritize you! Please keep phones away and silenced for the duration of your service.” Overall, can’t wait for my next session!

Had an amazing massage here! Music and lighting made for such a vibey ambience that helped me melt right into the table. Highly recommend booking with Jamal as soon as you can! Will definitely be going back, he helped get some serious knots out of my shoulder that I’ve been dealing with for a while.

I had an amazing facial at Self-Care Spa and Lounge.The atmosphere was relaxing, and the staff was welcoming and professional. The facial left my skin glowing, hydrated, and refreshed. They took the time to customize the treatment to my needs and explained every step. I highly recommend this spa for anyone looking for a luxurious self-care experience

I had a great massage with Jamal here! I went for the Monday Special ($60 for an hour) and it was wonderful. He gave extra attention to my shoulder that I have been having some issues with. Planning to go again when I can!

Wow wow WOW!!!! Amazing staff and specials. Very personable and the attentiveness and care that was taken to make my service the BEST was literally unmatched anywhere else I have ever been. I had a wonderful time celebrating my bachelorette with my family on Sunday. I'm one of those people who doesn't like to go clubbing and I wanted to do something on my last hurrah as a single woman over spa treatments and good company. The Self-Care Spa & Lounge is the place to be at!! Whether you're celebrating your engagement, your birthday, or just because, this is it! MaKayla, Jamal, Imani, and Kii are friendly and professional. They made sure my family members and I were comfortable and made us feel welcome for my bachelorette spa party. What a gem! I made the mistake of getting my brows done elsewhere and paid the price of breakage and bald spots. Raquel took one look at them and knew exactly what to do to save them. Also, I can now fully appreciate what brows do for looking put together with minimal effort thanks to her.
