I’ve been going to Sarah Hunterman for about a year for cut and color and she has been wonderful! Listens to exactly what I want, gets the job done efficiently (has an assistant to help mix color, shampoo, etc so I am not there for hours) and the results are beautiful and prices very competitive. Easy to book my next appointment by texting Sarah directly. Highly recommend!!

This is such a warm and comfortable place. I love going to Anna for my highlights. I relax with a glass of wine and a hand massage. It's like a spa treatment!

I recently moved to the area and have had trouble finding a salon that has stylists that will listen and chat and actually care about my hair. I’ve been going to Sarah for just over 11 months and my experiences have been so amazing. The environment is amazing and I’m very satisfied with how my most recent trip turned out with a fall refresh for some color pop. Can’t recommend Sarah enough! She’s so kind and thoughtful and she takes time to make sure you’re happy with the results. Visit the Soapbox Salon!

Hannah is a WIZ with the SCISS(ORS)! :) Truly the BEST hair cutting and hair treatment experience I've ever had!!! Hannah was so incredibly friendly, informative, patient, and skilled. I have very thick, dry, curly hair. She recommened a moisturizing treatment, which I am SO happy I did, and the way she cut my hair looked so natural and beautiful. I felt like a freakin Pantene-Pro-V model for dayssss after. They also served me coffee and little chocolates while I was getting my treatment done. I mean, truly, what more could you possibly ask for??? Thank you Soapbox!

I didn’t have a good experience here. The hair stylist seems like don’t know how to deal with my hair type. My hair is very damaged afterwards!Also there is no consulting session in person. I end up spent way more time and money than we negotiated in advanced. I’m also not happy with the result.

Got a nice haircut at an affordable price. They cut both men and women's hair. They're located near the corner of Plum and 4th. I went on a Friday morning at 11am. I was able to park for $4.66 at a meter on Plum right very close to the shop. Thanks guys!

I have had my hair cut by Sarah Hunterman for a couple years now. As an older male with curly-ish hair, I don't think I have the ideal hair to work with. But somehow, every single time I leave feeling pretty good about my cut. It is clear that she is highly skilled. My experience is that she is 100% consistent. She is also cool to talk with. Personable, calm, and always in a positive mood - not easy considering she is the business owner, a mom, and an active life. She even finds the time to serve under privileged. All that and she has never been late for an appointment, something I appreciate. The rest of Soapbox is good too. New location has a friendly vibe. Its a downtown location with easy parking, as there is garage right across the street that always has spots, just need to bring 3 or 4 quarters. Convenient. I would highly recommend this salon!

I got to work with Elvia! I found this shop while searching online and I’m so happy I did. Making the appointment was easy, the street parking situation was simple, the salon was clean and cute! Elvia was so nice and listened to what I had to say. I always feel like getting a haircut is a chore but here, I felt super comfortable and it was a fun time! I definitely plan on returning to this salon!

Such an amazing experience. I made a mistake booking online and I actually hadn’t made an appointment and they fit me in within the hour. I told her I was bored with my hair and she gave me a ton of recommendations and honestly gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had. She also gave me great recommendations of products when I asked!

i went to see elvia for a refresh and haircut. my hair felt so dry and weighed down with no body or texture. not anymore! elvia gave me a a beautiful layered cut that brought out all of my natural curls! I always thought I had some wave but this cut really highlights it. highly recommend going to elvia for any of your hair needs!

Hannah is great! I usually hate my haircuts but she's 2 for 2. I just let her do her thing, use her best judgment and I've been very happy both times I've gone to her. Great at her craft and really fun to chat with.

To begin, Kelsey was incredible. This is not a commentary on a lack of skill or service. She provided a fantastic cut and color. I was thrilled with her professionalism, quality of service, and the beautiful salon. The only reason I am noting 3 instead of 5 stars is because pricing was a bit confusing. The website claims half off services for new clients and even though my stylist was listed as having a new client discount I found out while paying that in fact does not apply to all stylists and she no longer offers one. Additionally, the salon is listed as a participating salon on the Downtown Cincinnati Gift Card but they no longer accept the card as payment. The owner did offer to buy the card from me but I opted to retain the card to use elsewhere. The price tag felt a bit like a bait and switch and soured my experience. That being said, even with these drawbacks the final product was lovely. Update in response to Sarah: The 50% off new client was listed as a special on the company website at the time I booked the appointment and Kelsey is listed as giving new client discounts on the services menu. (See screenshot) The business was also listed as accepting the gift card on the Downtown Cincinnati Gift Card. I notified them to update their list but I'm not sure if they have. I don't know if anything other than being transparent about pricing can be done to address the issue. I just wanted to give an honest review of my experience and make sure that future clients know to ask prior to receiving services. As I said before, Kelsey did an exceptional job I just had a little sticker shock when the discount wasn't in fact valid and the gift card wasn't usable. While it was advertised differently, I also should have clarified these points when I booked my appointment.
