Not sure why there's so many bad reviews, but this spa was good. It is a bit small so if you like a ton of amenities, this may not be for you; but it's great if you just need to unwind and get a nice massage. Tyler was really knowledgable and comforting during my session. He checked in throughout the service and asked if I needed any accommodations prior to the service. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a good massage. There could be more amenities, but the massage is high quality.

My husband and I booked a couples massage and completely enjoyed it. Charletta gave me an amazing massage and my husband said Isaiah did a great job. After the massages we spent some time in the steam room and saunas then hit the hot tub and pool. We ended the day with a late afternoon lunch at the Cafe on site. Wonderful, relaxing day! Things to note: -They provide spa shoes and robes, as well as towels. -The sauna & steam rooms are in the locker rooms and are not co-ed. -The hot tub and pools are co-ed. -They provide water bottles -Ample parking -I’m not sure if reservations are required, but spots fill quickly. I advice reservations -caution! The hook in the sauna that holds the water scoop is very hot if you brush against it. I burned my finger. - The staff is helpful, especially if you ask questions. For a first comer, I would have liked a little more information about how it all works at the time of booking and/or check-in. If you ask they are kind and helpful. -indoor heated pool. It was 19° and the pool connects outside. It was very cold near the connector, but comfortable everywhere else and in normal NC temps should be very comfortable.

I've been to a lot of spas and this is the worst of all of them. Pool & hot tub were closed even though the website said they would be open by now. The women's locker room is very small... only one dirty shower was available & the steam room didn't work. My massage therapist didn't do the hot stone add on I paid for and the massage was overall meh. No hot tea or flavored water available. The facility is not bad I like the robe and slippers, but after your service there's nothing to do. No indoor hot tub or pool, no steam room, no nice areas to sit and relax other than the waiting area. I won't be coming back here again.

I always find it highly discouraging when I have to give negative reviews to businesses, especially post-pandemic. I would love to say that this was a one-time incident, but apparently this is a repeat offense for this spa and facility. My best friend and I booked a spa day last November. We were clear that we wanted access to the hot tub and the indoor pool. We were not made aware that the hot tub was closed and had been closed for several days prior. They left the exterior doors on a rainy freezing cold November day open to the pool. We had to manually shut them and they kept opening them in order to use a tepid indoor heated pool. I thought it would be nice for a bunch of us to get together to do a spa day this year and give them a second chance. Have lunch at the hotel and use the hot tub and indoor pool, imbibe. We had six girls booking approximately over $1,500 in service and planned to have lunch there including drinks as we were taking Ubers to enjoy the day fully. We informed them when we booked that we wanted to use the hot tub and indoor pool amenities. That's the only reason we were booking. They had the opportunity to do the right thing and contact us once they were made aware that they were closing the pool for several weeks. Fortunately, one of my friends noticed that they had put on their website that those areas were closed off. They should have contacted us immediately and made alternate arrangements So we could come when all amenities were available to us. Fortunately she noticed on deadline day to get a refund. Grandover spa charges an inflated price for their services because they provide amenities that some of the other local venues do not offer. I'm only willing to pay those inflated prices for said amenities. Yet again they failed to contact the customer and decided to do a bait and switch on what they could provide. When I called to complain because this was a birthday gift from my six friends and left a message with the head of the spa. Giving her time to contact me back. She elected not to return a phone call. I did not hear from the GM of the spa or the GM of the hotel. The hotel, facilities and lack of service all signal that this place is a has been. Take your hard earned dollars somewhere else.

It was amazing! I've been intending on going back, but haven't made it yet. My massage therapist was excellent and the amenities were beautiful. I'll definitely be back. The only bit of criticism is the front desk check-in was less than stellar. They aren't very friendly or customer service oriented. They weren't downright rude, more disinterested. The facial expressions said more... I asked about a particular massage modality that I didn't see, and instead of the young lady just stating it wasn't offered, she looked as if I didn't know what I was talking about and inconvenienced her brain for having to consider my question. She and the other young lady, upon our, "Have a good evening", just weren't friendly or responsive. Other than that, I'll be back to book with my therapist and intend to come monthly since my therapist no longer works evenings or weekends.

My husband and I just got the best facials. We had access to the pools, hot tubs and sauna with the purchase of our facials. It was a great experience, we will definitely be back.

Customer service at this place is completely terrible. I had massage appointments that I unfortunately had to cancel as our baby got sick, and we had to cancel the whole trip. I called over 24 hours in advance, but they have a 48 hour policy. There was no room for negotiation or understanding of the circumstances. Just a flat out no, we have to charge the whole amount. Not even offered to even do a partial refund. When asked to speak to a manager, they said they're all in a meeting (how convenient).

I am sure that actually going to this place is lovely, but the customer service of the gentleman working the desk was quite rude. I was trying to surprise my husband for father's day with a spa day in the future and he was very rude during his communication about requiring a credit card for booking, not a debit card. There was no way for me to do this without letting my husband know and I had to come up with the idea of getting a gift card to then book the appointment, but there was no way for me to do this without going into the resort. It's 2024, I can Venmo, Paypal, Apple Pay almost all things. I wish they had a booking online and being able to pay for it right there. I don't have time to go into the resort to get a gift card to them try and deal with booking an appointment. Also he was not apologetic at all.

Booked an 80 minute full body massage and had a very subpar experience including the massage therapist and the facility. I was thrown off that there was no intake form to complete prior to my appointment to make the therapist aware of any problem areas or medical conditions. She did not ask me prior to the session what zones to avoid and massaged my face which is no-zone for me during massages. My table/bed was cold and mid-way through my massage she told me she forgot to turn on the table warmer. The massage therapist also ended my massage time by at least 5 minutes: started at 11:05 and ended at 12:20. Very disappointed in the service for the amount of money paid. The facility accommodations were also subpar: only hot tea and water were offered. No options for coffee or wine that are commonly provided/included at other spas. The jacuzzi was under repair which was also disappointing. Would not recommend.

I had such a great experience. I got a volcanic rock massage with Maggie, and she was incredible. I really recommend getting the hot rocks added regardless of the treatment you choose. The indoor pool was a comfortable temperature and relaxing, the outdoor was a little cool (as expected for this time of year) but it wasn’t unbearable. If you’re looking to treat yourself, do it here.

I just experienced the best facial of my life! Book with Savannah! She was the sweetest and kindest woman. She put my worries at ease and focused on my red puffy skin with cooling towels and really catered to what my skin needed! Also, they have robes in MANY sizes, which I needed! I will be back!

OMG!! My daughters treated me to The Spa at Grandover for my birthday. I had a wonderful facial and full body massage. Then I used the sauna and the steam room. My body was feeling RIGHT when I left there! If you get a chance, Please, Please, go and treat yourself!

I had a less-than-satisfactory massage experience; The massage therapist never checked in during the service to inquire if I was comfortable or okay, adding to my overall dissatisfaction with the experience. When I expressed my disappointment with the service, the staff merely apologized without taking any corrective actions to address or improve the situation. Although the hot tub was enjoyable, the pool was too cold, preventing me from fully enjoying both the pool and the waterfall feature. While the food was delicious, the experience was marred by the discomfort of walking through the entire hotel in a robe. Having a dedicated service to the spa area would enhance the overall experience. Overall, my first experience at Grandover was disappointing, and I don’t anticipate returning in the future.

It was a good massage. Just good. The men's locker room was small but adequate. Take a suit if you want to go swimming or get in the sauna as it is open to all guests.

It was amazing. Had the couples massages. I got deep tissue and my girl got swedish. Both were great. Afterwards we were able to enjoy the saunas and steam room. Was the perfect getaway. And a perfect dinner afterwards at their restaurant. Will definitely do it again!

Let me just say her name nice and loud. Sylvie!! This pregnant mama needed a nice relaxing facial experience and Sylvie gave it to me and then some. I got the Ultra Radiance Facial and when she found out I was expecting changed up product use to ensure it was the best for my dry pregnant skin. She was amazing. My skin left feeling so refreshed and replenished which is exactly what my pregnant skin needed. She really worked my face and neck and it just felt so amazing. Definitely if I am in the area again will be requesting her by name.
