My wife has enjoyed two pedicures at the spa by Ms. Tanya and she has thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. Tanya is pleasant and engaging but more importantly pays attention to detail and really does an amazing job at her work. My wife will definitely treat herself again!

The Spa at Griffin Gate is an experience I have every time I am there. I love the staff, the ambience and how peaceful their spa area is. I have tried different massages every time I am there for the most relaxing experience as I have a high intense job. I can't wait to experience their head spa next. Ellen and her team make this experience one you will never forget. The menu of services goes above and beyond the customers expectations. I hope you enjoy your time at the Spa as much as I do!

Don’t get services done here for your wedding!! The absolute worst experience in my life. I was the bride, and my hair was completely opposite of what I asked for and the lady did not care. Her next appointment was there already. Every time I think of this interaction it makes me sad and mad that they didn’t care about my special day. Aside from that, tip was added to my bill. They told me what I would be tipping. Absolutely disgraceful. It took everything in me to not be upset for my wedding day.

The massage and massage therapist (Mary) was very good. I felt comfortable and relaxed — until I went to pay. The amount was way more than I thought it was going to be! The price online was $295 for the 90 min massage. When I went to pay, the charge was $381!! I asked the young lady about the price difference and told her I was expecting to pay $295. She said that prices were higher on the weekend. I didn’t see that anywhere on the website! The charged price demanded a $64, non-negotable tip for the therapist. I had planned to give her a tip. However, I felt it was rude to just charge me what they thought was best rather than let me determine the amount. After all, a tip is a GIFT for a job well done. NOT a “service charge”, as reflected on my receipt. Additionally, I called several times to make an appointment but no one would answer the phone. Making the appointment online was the only option. What happened to personal customer service? Marriott is a well known brand and more is expected from such an organization. Bottom line - while the massage was good, the customer service and prices were deceptive. Highly disappointed and frustrated! Thus, the 2 star review.

Honestly -best massage ever!! Violeta was absolutely positively AMAZING. The massage was the best I’ve ever received and she was so kind and truly was invested in giving me the most beneficial massage possible. I’m not local but when I come back to town, I’m booking her again!

I had an amazing experience at the Blissfully Restored retreat at the Spa at Griffin Gate. It was such an uplifting and well planned experience. Luxury, laughter, self reflection and self care all entwined (and wonderful wine too!) I came home feeling creatively charged and ready to take on some new challenges.

I had an excellent facial at The Spa at the Marriott Griffin Gate last week with Jessica. She was incredibly knowledgeable, asked a lot of questions about my skin, and then customized the facial to what my skin needed. It was one of their new facials and I can't recommend it enough. The entire experience there is top notch and equal to any luxury hotel I've been to in big cities like Las Vegas. I left there with not only glowing and radiant skin, but a whole array of products recommended for me personally that will last me for a long time. Added bonus: If you book a treatment, you get access to their sauna and indoor pool. Will definitely book another treatment soon.

The Griffin Gate Spa really is scammers. I reserved 2-spa treatments for 2-Pastors / Bishops in our organization. $175.00 per treatment plus service fees and taxes. This supposed to have been the Bluegrass with Hot Rocks… well to my surprise one of the customers DID NOT received treatment as advertised and moreover described personally. After 7-8 calls to the Spa in Lexington KY., leaving messages . All I received was ignoring, no return calls.. this Spa is a joke a rip off joke. I understand that perhaps the therapist omitted some of the treatment by mistake. After the poor service were brought to their attention, seemingly they would have return call offered something to an unsatisfied customer!!!! Nothing not even a courtesy call. Poor and very poor business practices. Extremely pricy for terrible treatment. Now they have caller I.D and will not answer the phone. Not professional at all….all, Be aware

The Spa at Griffin Gate is a luxurious escape from the daily grind! Peaceful, relaxing and an excellent place for a girlfriends day or a couples massage. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in finding the right service for you. Their list of offerings are robust and we love their product lines. We received the best facials ever! We can't wait to go back!

The massages we received were fantastic, and the staff was very friendly! They even offered us nonalcoholic champagne after our massges! However, I was surprised at checkout because I thought the price included the tip, but it didn't. It's very confusing 😕 I asked for an emailed receipt and never received it. I also wish there would be an option on the menu for massages without the steamroom and extra amenities. You can't use the steamroom when you're pregnant, and it is a lot of additional cost when someone can't use those accommodations. Overall, our experience was fantastic! But I wanted to share some things that Marriott could work to improve.

Gosh, we needed this! It was the perfect girlfriends get away. A few drinks, facials, massage... what could be a better mini vacation? The spa treatments were superb, and the customer service was great. Taking my mom next.

My boyfriend booked a couples massage during our quick getaway to celebrate my birthday. This was his first massage ever, so he was excited and nervous. Upon arrival, the employee who greeted us was very friendly and explained we would be walking down to the couples area which didn’t have a restroom available. She showed us to the lounge areas in the main spa area. We were told to help ourselves to water, tea and snacks. The snacks were various trail mixes and candy set out to scoop into little cups. When we were ready we were walked to the couples area of the spa located a good distance down the hall. In the couples area we were offered more of the same snack and drink. We were told that we could change into robes in one of the massage rooms and when we came out we could use the massage chairs. Well… the changing area offered no lockers or even cubbies for storing clothes. We had no idea what to do so we just took our stuff with us as we wandered to the massage chairs. We sat in the chairs to discover they didn't work!! We followed the lead cords, unplugged and plugged back in, still no luck. The chairs were plugged into a power strip which also powered an industrial fan being used to dry carpet as it appeared and smelled from the musty odor. The fan was loud and did not create a relaxing environment. The tv had the news on, also not relaxing. We were finally greeted by our massage therapists. They took us into the couples room, asked us if we had areas we would like focused on which we both responded shoulders and neck. The ladies explained that we would be laying face down on the massage table under the top blanket, but on top of the sheet. They left and we proceeded to the tables. The tables were cold!! Having had massages before ive never experienced them to be cold, they are usually heated. Then the massages began. The therapists were very quick, seemed rushed and didn't focus on the areas we expressed as we anticipated they would. The music being played was more aggressive than spas generally have. At then end, we were given very little instruction and felt rushed to leave as another couple would be arriving in 10 min or so. Then we looked at the bill… $175+ per person for that???!!!!????!!! We were under the impression from booking the massage that the $175 was for both of us, not per person. To experience little to no direction, no actual changing room, broken massage chairs, feeling rushed and not relaxed, no focus on what we stated, paired with the musty smell and i didn’t even mention the peeling paint hanging in clumps from the ceiling, the amount we were charged was not worth it. So much for a relaxing, happy birthday!!

Having just finished a week of staycation spa-ing, this place was one of my favorites. Despite the construction going on outside, I really enjoyed the spa treatments and the staff. I loved that both my masseuse and the woman who worked on my pedicure had been there for years. It’s important to me that staff be treated well and they clearly are. It felt very non-exploitative and I was free to enjoy my treatments which were wonderful. I will definitely go back!

I previously went to this spa a couple of months ago, and did receive an amazing gel pedicure. HOWEVER, I needed to update the previous review. My mother made an appointment here, which was her second. She gave them her phone number and her credit card to reserve the time but for some reason they connected it to my name and credit card from my previous visit-- so that was their mistake completely. The parent of my mother's friend died suddenly and mom forgot about the appointment she'd made as she scrambled to help her friend. The minute she remembered (the same day as her appointment) she called the spa to apologize and reschedule. The person who answered the phone was unbelievably rude and told her there was "nothing she could do" and then she hung up on my mother. That behavior is enough to warrant a one star, but believe it or not, it gets better. The spa charged MY credit card for the missed appointment. So not only were they rude, but they also charged the WRONG client who never authorized the charge or agreed to it. Unbelievable. I get it, people are no shows and there are rules, but I didn't make the appointment, I didn't agree to the missed appointment fee. I didn't miss the appointment. When that was nicely explained to them, they were very rude. Tonya was amazing and I had a delightful time on my previous visit, but after this nonsense, I'll never go back. Save your money and get better treatment at Woodhouse in Lexington Green.

We had a wonderful little staycation! After some initial challenges booking what we wanted, Ellen in the spa took charge. She saw to it that everything was taken care of and booked properly. Both of our massage therapists were wonderful. Really enjoyed all the special details thru out our experience.

Best spa experience, EVERY SINGLE TIME. If you have any hesitation.... quit thinking and do it. You won't be disappointed. They are very accommodating, and it felt very safe. Lots of precautions and a professional approach so that you can really just float away in your treatment!

Our experience was absolutely wonderful. Staff was so kind and professional and made the experience so worth it! I’ve had massages before but nothing that could even hold a candle to our experience at Griffin Gate Spa. So thankful for staff giving us such a memorable day.

Very nice experience. Pleasant, warm and inviting atmosphere. Therapists were experienced and very good. Aromatherapy and heat was great! Lil more communicatuon during massage about pressure and areas would be good. But preinterview covered alot of that. Thanks!

Booked the hour massage with the half hour add on - feet and legs. My masseuse may have been a newby. Ended 5 min. early and only spent 3 minutes on my feet at most. For spending over $200 including the automatic tip/service fee, I felt robbed. The massage place in the mall is 10 times better.

My service was great, my nail tech was incredibly sweet! I wish they equipped her with the tools she needed to get my gel polish off. I was really looking forward to the hot stone pedicure, but we only had time for the short and sweet option. She literally worked over 45+ minutes just to get my polish off, I felt so bad for her! A+ for the nail tech, C- for the actual spa. I spent $85 on getting my polish removed, and coat of paint. She handled herself so well, I appreciate her efforts.

Services were great, facilities were tired. My masseuse did a great job taking care of my problem areas. Facilities looked tired, not out of date, just in need of some TLC. Little details and upgrading the quality of the fluff would go a long way.

Stayed this weekend at the resort and received an amazing massage at the spa. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was an overall extremely restful experience!
