Took my sister for a spa day here for her Birthday, the resort is beautiful, friendly staff, had our massages in the cabanas outside-I definitely recommend! Loved both of our masseuses. We had full access to the pool, jacuzzis and workout facilities as well. The only negative was sister has hip issues and getting to the spa area is a bit of a trek going downhill which I find defeats the purpose of getting a massage with having to trek back up the hill at the end of the day. Other than that we enjoyed our experience. We plan to come back for facials but going ask for a courtesy ride 🙏🏼.

Evidently, they rely on a 'system' to book appointments. I booked an appointment that the system did not record, maybe I am incompetent with computers or maybe management is incompetent in monitoring their systems.

Went for a relaxing girl's spa day and wasn't disappointed. Manuel was lovely checking us in, giving us a tour, and checked on us multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed. Manuel definitely provided us with first class service. The massage by Christopher was a heavenly end to the day!

I travelled to Rancho Bernardo with a group of girls and we thoroughly enjoyed a day at the spa! Arlene was super accommodating for our large group. All of our treatments were excellent, and we especially enjoyed using the spa pool and hot tub. Pricing was expensive, but in line with pricing I would expect at a luxury hotel's spa. Can't wait to return.

$200+ for the worst 35 min massage? Go elsewhere. I've been to over 20+ massage places around the world and I had by far the most unpleasant experience with this place. The manager? Rushing. She didn't even give us the robes just because of the fact that we were 6 min late. Not only that, the male massager was purely unprofessional. My body didn't feel any better after getting the massage. In fact, he completely messed up my hair/face by rubbing them with a ton of oil that doesn't even smell like the essential oil that I chose. In any other spas I've been to, they asked me if it's ok to massage my hair or face(although it was more like "scratching" my scalp than massaging). Another super weird thing is that he kept massaging my armpits. I have never experienced a massage that's massaging my armpits for that long time. In fact any other massage places I've been to never even went close to my armpits for a manner. I can keep going with complaints but I don't want to give too much attention to the business as I'll never go back.

Had a wonderful massage! I highly recommend Rosie. She was fabulous. I received the holistic wellness massage. Rosie was so sweet and her energy was relaxing even prior to massage. All the amenities were stocked. I had a wonderful time and definitely will be back.

Horrible experience. The director, Arlene, is an atrocious representation for the entire establishment. No confirmation text, email, or phone call after booking. No way to change or cancel a booking. Called FIVE TIMES to try and change/cancel the appointment, left messages, heard nothing back. Got a call later saying I missed the appointment and that I would be charged $100. Spoke to the director and explained the situation, and even brought up that there is NOWHERE that states that they charge for cancellation. I will be disputing the charge. My credit card company will have no problem refunding the money when they cannot show anywhere where I was informed of a cancellation charge. The audacity to charge the fee after ignoring call after call, message after message is astounding.

I had a terrible experience with this Spa. The day of my appointment, I had a very infectious disease so I could not make my appointment time. I tried to get for a confirmation email or phone call to reference the cancelation policy. I did NOT have any confirmation of the appointment and there was not a cancelation policy anywhere on their website. I called 3 hours in advance to confirm with the spa that I had an appointment that day and that I would not be able to make it. They called me back after my appointment time to tell me that I will be charged for missing the appointment. I spoke to Arlene, the director, and she told me that this is their cancelation policy and there was nothing that she could do. I pointed out that I had no way of confirming my appointment online and the office was not responsive to my calls. Although she was not able to point to where the cancelation policy is or justify the spa not responding to my calls and voicemails for an entire day, she is charging us anyway.

I have been trying to get a hold of someone for over a week to book an 80 minute massage at the spa. Since the spa website only allows bookings of 50 min massages, one must call in to book an 80 min service reservation, which is impossible when the phone is never answered and the calls are not returned. I cam growing increasingly frustrated as I have been coming here for decades. I have even tried calling the RB Inn and can't get an answer there either. Apparently they don't want the business.

Incredible therapists here. I've been going here over a course of 20 years and they obviously vet their staff . I'm docking a star because water at the pool was in a container with green stuff growing on the sides... needless to say, I didn't drink it. And they really could use an update in the locker room, is starting to show age and looking a little shabby in multiple areas.

Majority of the stars are for my masseuse, who was absolutely wonderful and gave me a great massage. This place looks and feels very exclusive, if that's your thing, it isn't mine. The person I interacted with and who checked me in was uptight and didn't make me feel welcome. She was transactional, matter of fact, and swift with her to-do list. She quickly showed me around prior to my massage, but didn't give me any information on what I should do or wear prior to my service. For instance, she told me the lockers had robes inside, but didn't tell me if I needed to wear one on my way to my massage or after. Consequently, since this was my first time, I was the only person wearing clothes in the waiting room, while everyone else was wearing robes. I also felt uncomfortable as other women in there stared at me and that made me feel out of place. Also, the pool tables has scan codes to upload the drinks and food menu on your phone; however, there's no indication on how to order: phone call? Text message? Whistle? There were no servers around or anyone who introduced themselves as a server, so... maybe I missed it? Needless to say, I left kinda confused and a bit stressed, honestly... For the money I paid, the customer service definitely lacked and I don't think I'll come back.

My sister booked our room at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. We were there a week. Our experience was wonderful! The whole place has this amazing aroma and vibe is extremely peaceful and soothing. I wanted to stay forever. Unfortunately, my sister and I did not get to go to the spa. From breezeway, to the gardens and mini gardens, I really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend to anyone to stay at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, not just for the golf & spa, but to relax & EAT in the restaurant. Everyone was so helpful. I hope I can get back soon.

I had a facial by Kim and she was amazing!! Informative and delightful! Reception was warm an inviting, cleanliness was perfect! Would not have changed a thing!

As a RB local for many years, coming to the spa has always been convenient, beautiful and relaxing. Unfortunately, I will be choosing another place next time around. Dirty, unkept, and lacking in overall aesthetics and charm. No fresh flowers, dead orchids, dust everywhere. The customized facial itself was decent, nothing to rave about.
