I visited the Spa at the Boulders over the holidays and was very disappointed. Below are my detailed comments. If you are interested in visiting the Spa, know that I have no personal agenda and, in truth, really wanted to like it. The issues below made it impossible. 1. All equipment at the club is outdated. Machines and weights are decades old and plainly showing decay. Even the yoga mats are fraying from old age and shed onto the floor if used. 2. Properly functioning amenities are not prioritized. My wife and I visited the Spa for 2 whole weeks during Christmas and New Years - presumably some of the most popular times for Spa visitors. The sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi were ALL closed off and out-of-order for the entirety of our stay, with no discernable action being taken to get them back up and running. We inquired on numerous occasions when they'd be fixed, but we received no helpful response. 3. The gym layout is cramped and uncomfortable. If any more than 3 people try to lift weights at any one time, you are stepping on toes. The layout is not thoughtful and barely workable. My wife and I fortunately were only visiting the Spa and not staying at the Boulders. I feel deep frustration for the folks who spend so much on a room at the Boulders expecting a first-class Spa experience only to find worn-out equipment from the 90s, zero functioning amenities, and an exercise space roughly the size of a walk-in closet. The Boulders is an unbelievably beautiful property, but until management decides to invest in it, save yourself the expense and irritation and look elsewhere.

No wonder this is rated one of the top 5 spas in North America. Stunning setting and very relaxing interior. Spa service was excellent as was all the staff. Prices are lower than many Scottsdale resorts. Given this is in my backyard I will be back !

The Spa at the Boulders is my favorite spa in Phoenix! I have gotten several types of treatments here and all of them have been great. I like the variety of rooms and locations they have available. It allows me to really make a day out of it! Mary Ann is exceptional. Try the Desert Rose Radiance and a Hydrafacial 😍

Definitely a disappointment. While the spa itself is beautiful and well thought out regarding design and comfort; the quality and price of the massages were lacking. It is quite expensive to book here but I went for it anyway. Biggest regret of my trip. We had a couples massage, mine was prenatal. Both of us felt as though the masseuse touch and pressure was entirely too light and no technique was used. The masseuse asked me where I felt discomfort or pain so that she could target it. I told her mostly my hips (as many pregnant women can attest to). When I say she did absolutely nothing… I mean nothing.. no prenatal massage techniques were used at all. I felt like I’d been touched with a feather. So weird for them to charge high prices for this level of service so I am guessing the cost is for the general ambiance.

Jasmin was fantastic for my desert zen massage - thank you! One of the best that I've had!!! Beautiful desert setting

The Discovery was wonderful, cozy and relaxing. The property is well manicured, and simply beautiful.

The desert zen massage is THE BEST!

The property is overpriced for a awful experience. Bellmen that stand and watch instead of opening car door for wife? Check that box. Rude staff that don't have customer service training? Check that box to. Spa service that are dishonest and fraud? Check that box to. Yes for real we paid for 80 minute massage. They were late coming to room and quit at 56 minutes. Indeed a dishonest property that I will ensure everyone knows not to go.

Beautiful resort! The jacuzzi was not working the 1st night of our stay but there was company there working on it the next morning! Loved the property, great for romantic escape!

Came here as part of my stay at Boulders Resort and was so disappointed. It kind of ruined the whole point of staying at a resort with a spa, honestly. My husband and I splurged $1k on two 90-minute massages and 50-minute body scrubs. The cost is already shocking — and then as I get called in for my massage, I realize the one request I made (for a female masseuse) wasn’t followed. I know a lot of people don’t mind that kind of stuff, but I was super stressed and uncomfortable the whole time. The masseuse himself was a total gentleman and nothing happened — but it’s just not something I’m personally comfortable with. And I didn’t want to make a scene in the moment and went to the front desk to mention this afterwards — and after much pressing, they offered 20% off just that service… that’s it. I spend a large chunk of my monthly salary for what should be a lovely relaxing morning with my husband — and instead it’s uncomfortable, disappointing, and pretty much just as expensive. I’d never come back. I honestly couldn’t wait to leave. And then the other general down sides: no one greeted us when we first came in or showed us around. Not much to see anyway: a pool no better than the one at the resort, a weird outdoor labyrinth that I can see why they didn’t show us, and a cafe with food just as bad as the rest of the resort.

Fabulous Spa Day Got there about 1.5 hours ahead of appointment to use the awesome steam room and sauna. The best ones I've been in. Couples massages were perfect followed by very nice facials. Waiting room and the desert tranquility throughout the spa was lovely. Greeted by the receptionist as soon as we stepped in and the entire staff were so nice. Thank you for the best spa day.

Great rooms, Great views, great service. The scenery is probably the best in the whole metro area. Several different restaurants. Staff is professional and friendly.

Incredible massage with beautiful surroundings. What else could a girl want.

Would love to come back in season.

Every person that worked there was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I cannot say enough about the pool. All I heard was spa music and birds chirping. My facial was wonderful also.

Excellent service and quality of amenities. Spa is situated in a very picturesque setting in the desert.

Great place for a massage. Beautiful setting!

It was just okay. The treatments were amazing but I expected the spa itself to be nicer. Old and not well laid out.

My facial was wonderful....the entire spa is very clean. The pool was very nice.

The spa just reopened from COVID. They need to be very specific on what services and level of service are actually available at this time. There is no dry sauna, steam or rain showers available. Only basic bathroom, shower and lockers. No drinks or snacks and you have to ask for towels. The food is on plastic to go boxes. They could at least put out bottle waters, teas and juices. Also could have snacks such as nuts and dried fruit out in cups with lids. Definitely top notch massage therapists. They did an outstanding job and really only positive thing to review. So basically they should just offer massage and give a discount due to major amount of normal services not being provided at this time.

Great place. Very well-maintained. Super friendly staff! I'm going back, and back, and back.

Disappointing welcome to our stay at Boulders Resort by Hilton. We're a multi-generational group, including a 10 yr old and 2 13 year olds, gold and diamond HHonour members. We were directed by staff to the spa as our "closest pool", all signed in at reception, spent 45 minutes+ swimming, ordered drinks and saw the pool patrolled by management at least once. It wasn't busy, all was quiet. Then, management returned, told us the whole spa facility was 18+ only and that we had to leave. No signs, nothing on the terms online. Just a tad rude. We'd enjoyed great hospitality at 5 other venues so far on the trip, so to start a stay with a 10 year old in tears was not exactly a medal of "Hhonours" for Hilton. Friendly warning to families to avoid the Spa pool!

I had a facial and it was fantastic! Tatiana was wonderful and so professional. Explained every step and product. Such a relaxing experience.

I wish I read Mark's post prior to making my spa appointment. I am greeted with very little warmth, no tour and upon asking a simple question, I get a pointing of the finger, and told " that way." Not exactly 5 star service for 5 star prices.

Amazing golf course, spendy but worth a splurge from time to time. Learned not to look for golf balls off course. Those cacti are vicious

Miwah at the spa resteraunt is THE BEST!!! 4 years ago we started coming here and it is still second to none. See you in December!!

Outstanding spa. Warm staff, clean and comfortable location. Lunch availability and quality was a plus. The only down side was their natural healing pool was not operating. Hopefully it will be when you visit!
